Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Be Good, I’m Here to Repay Your Kindness
Eleanor Valerius was surrounded tightly by a tempest of water and fire.
When it came to doing this, Sebastian Ford was an absolute control freak.
Perhaps because he had been interrupted, his restraint was now wild abandonment.
Eleanor Valerius was completely limp.
Her heartbeat thundered like a drum, almost jumping out of her chest.
Her body was solely confined within Sebastian Ford’s embrace, all the infinite tenderness was reserved for him.
The lingering tug-of-war finally came to an end.
Eleanor Valerius felt like she had died once, gasping for breath in Sebastian Ford’s arms.
"Let me see, you’re very hot now, not cold anymore, right?"
At this moment, Sebastian Ford hadn’t released her, and his husky voice teased at her ear, as if he was unsatisfied.
The atmosphere within the car lingered, refusing to dissipate.
"Way too hot..."
Eleanor Valerius’ blush refused to fade, her voice hoarse, pleading softly, "Won’t you... leave?"
"Warming yourself up just to have me leave?"
Sebastian Ford deliberately questioned her.
At this time, Eleanor Valerius could only tenderly coax him, "But I have to go home."
"Assistant Valerius has to work overtime tonight; I gave you the night off."
Sebastian Ford held Eleanor Valerius close, gently ordering her at her ear.
"Kiss me."
Bound in his confining grip, Eleanor Valerius struggled to tilt her head up to offer him a kiss.
Sebastian Ford propped himself up on his arms, indulging in temporarily relinquishing control to her.
Meanwhile, he instructed Mason Monroe: [Inform the Valerius Family, that this woman is currently requisitioned by me.]
A quiet street bathed in bright evening lights.
Mason Monroe along with the chauffeur and bodyguards stood with their backs to the RV, at quite a distance.
Upon receiving the message, Mason Monroe personally contacted Regina Jennings to explain why the Third Miss Valerius was not returning home that night.
...
When Eleanor Valerius woke up in a daze.
She discovered she was no longer in the car, but in Sebastian Ford’s bedroom bed.
It was his exhaustive efforts that made her sleep deeply, with no recollection of what came afterward.
She reached for the pillow beside her.
Surprisingly, Sebastian Ford was not there.
She sat up and noticed she was wearing pajamas, which must have meant he had bathed her.
Although her waist ached and she felt fatigued, Eleanor Valerius got up to look for him.
She was unfamiliar with the place, having only been here twice before being carried to bed by him.
Over by the hallway, a sliver of light escaped through a cracked door.
Eleanor Valerius walked over without much thought and pushed the door open, only to find Sebastian Ford wasn’t there.
"Is this his study?"
Her gaze instinctively wandered inside, unaware of the approaching footsteps behind her.
"You out of bed, and here for what reason?"
A cold voice suddenly sounded.
In a state of panic, Eleanor Valerius automatically turned around, only to be pressed against the door by Sebastian Ford’s towering frame.
"Intrigued by my study?"
Sebastian Ford squinted, half-smiling as he tilted her face away, dangerously whispering in her ear, "Want to uncover Ford Family matters, or sneak a peek at company documents?"
His words immediately frightened Eleanor Valerius stiff.
Fatigue vanished in an instant, awakening her to the realization that she had made a terrifying mistake.
Serving as the Ford Family Head, his study housed significant aspects of the Ford Family.
He would never tolerate anyone crossing his line of defense.
Because Sebastian Ford’s trust in her was solely confined to the bed.
"Master Ford, I’m sorry, I haven’t fully awoken and was just looking for you."
Eleanor Valerius realized that if Sebastian Ford was truly suspicious, he might just strangle her.
In reality, she only sought his protection, never intending betrayal.
"Can’t sleep without me there?"
At this point, Sebastian Ford’s voice, laced with flirtation, carried a hint of menace.
"Yes, I want to sleep next to you, rest my head on your chest."
Suppressing instinctive fear, Eleanor Valerius hugged his waist, deeply inhaling with caution.
For a silent moment, it seemed Sebastian Ford contemplated if he could trust her.
"Alright, I’ll carry you back to bed."
Sebastian Ford’s hand directly lifted Eleanor Valerius, returning them to the bed in the bedroom.
The warmth under the covers was comforting, yet Eleanor Valerius felt entirely cold and rigid.
She was terrified because Sebastian Ford was a frightening man.
The bedroom activities between them were merely transactional.
"Sleep."
Sebastian Ford’s emotions were ambiguous and difficult to discern.
"Goodnight."
Eleanor Valerius didn’t want him to notice her fear and voluntarily buried herself in his embrace to sleep.
But that night, she couldn’t sleep at all.
Sebastian Ford rose early, washed up, and headed downstairs.
Eleanor Valerius pretended to sleep, deliberately avoiding him, also needing time to recalibrate her emotions.
As she got up to freshen up, a maid knocked and entered, delivering clothes and skincare products.
"Miss Valerius, is there anything else you need?"
Eleanor Valerius paused slightly, realizing the maid indeed knew her identity.
In others’ eyes, what did she seem like?
A woman brought home to keep Sebastian Ford company?
"Nothing, thank you."
Eleanor Valerius remembered last time she stayed over, there was a set of used skincare products.
But they were discarded, and this set was brand new.
Just like how she could appear within Sebastian Ford’s home but never qualified to remain.
The exalted family head and an opportunistic socialite.
This perilous lover’s game, no matter the view, she seemingly stood to lose nothing.
Eleanor Valerius feared yet dared not evade him further.
Her paramour too astute, deceiving him could yield more dire consequences.
Descending the stairs, Eleanor Valerius had already composed herself.
Soon as she beheld Sebastian Ford sitting on the sofa, piercing gaze turning her way.
"Good morning."
With a courteous smile, Eleanor Valerius approached, sitting on his lap in playful affection, as if nothing transpired last night.
"No morning kiss?"
Sebastian Ford wrapped around her waist, chin slightly lifted.
Without hesitation, Eleanor Valerius initiated the kiss.
Indulgent and intertwining kisses ensued.
In that moment, indistinguishable who toyed with whom.
Breakfast done, stepping out.
Sebastian Ford had matters to attend, while Eleanor Valerius took Mason Monroe’s car to the company.
At the parking lot, Sharon Sinclair happened upon it again, snapping photos.
Due to prior events, Sharon Sinclair lacked friends within the publicity department.
She anonymously posted on the company confession wall, revealing Assistant Monroe having a girlfriend at work.
Noteably, the status of a CEO’s special assistant garnered Mason Monroe popularity among female colleagues.
Speculation abounded over the identity of Assistant Monroe’s girlfriend.
When Mason Monroe was summoned to the office.
Sebastian Ford sipped coffee brought by Eleanor Valerius, inquiring matter-of-factly, "I’m curious too, when did you start dating a girlfriend?"
Mason Monroe: "..."
He wished to know who as well.
Amidst this, Sharon Sinclair capitalized on company spotlight, releasing photos of Eleanor Valerius and Mason Monroe getting into and out of the vehicle.
Seeing Mason Monroe’s rumored girlfriend as Eleanor Valerius, Sebastian Ford’s expression instantly darkened.
Did the eavesdrop shove back at oneself?
Mason Monroe: "?!"
This was disastrous.
Master Ford’s perverse possessiveness threatened silencing him forever.
