Chapter 53: Chapter 53: She Only Knows Master Ford at Night
Sebastian Ford escorted Eleanor Valerius back to the Valerius Family residence.
However, he didn’t want to let her go.
The lights were still on at the Valerius Family villa.
The Ford Family limousine was conspicuously parked at the entrance, anyone could come out at any moment.
"Master Ford, we’ve finished overtime, why won’t you let me leave?"
Eleanor Valerius asked him in a soft, tender voice.
"You did well with overtime, so I’m considering adding more hours."
Sebastian Ford sat next to her, his hand slipped inside the suit jacket draped around her, caressing her delicate skin, unable to get enough.
"Ugh, I’m so tired..."
Eleanor seemed genuinely exhausted, her cheek resting against his arm, a bit drowsy.
Then, Sebastian lifted her to sit on his lap, taking off the clothes he had already removed for her, dressing her again.
The intimate actions following their encounter.
No affection involved, just the lingering warmth of flirtation, easily creating the illusion of a heartbeat.
Eleanor realized she might be developing bad habits with him.
No, this was too dangerous.
After the pleasures of the bed, she must leave promptly like he did, unable to let herself continue falling.
...
The next day, in the CEO’s office.
Eleanor Valerius brought coffee and delivered it to Sebastian Ford’s embrace.
"Mr. Ford, I want to take on other work."
During the lunch break, Sebastian leaned lazily against his chair, closing his eyes to enjoy the warmth in his arms.
"I keep you by my side so you can see me whenever you want, to ease your longing, yet you’re still not satisfied?"
"I’m not satisfied because Mr. Ford, you’re too busy."
Eleanor snuggled in his arms, pretending to complain: "To capture a lover’s heart, it’s important to maintain the right distance. If I’m always around you, what if the lover suddenly gets tired of seeing me?"
Sebastian Ford, as the Family Head of the Ford Family, would not let her interfere with his main affairs.
"As long as you don’t revolve around other men, I’ll consider it."
"Can I go to the project department?"
Having said that, Eleanor closely observed his reaction, afraid he would be suspicious, she added: "I’ve been following Mr. Ford for such a long time, learning from your words and actions first-hand, I’m sure I can master what you’ve taught me."
"Assistant Valerius, quite ambitious."
Sebastian Ford smiled meaningfully.
"Yes, without ambition, I wouldn’t have ended up in your bed."
Eleanor’s honesty surprisingly gained Sebastian Ford’s consent.
Now she had him as her backing, her escape plan still needed the most crucial thing: money, lots of it.
...
Eleanor Valerius was quietly assigned to the project department to learn.
When it was time to get off work, she received a call from Sebastian Ford.
"Did you not miss me all day long?"
The lover was unhappy.
"I did, I missed you so much, I’ve been holding it in all along."
Eleanor soothed him, following his dissatisfaction.
"Is Master Ford still at the office? I want to go back for some overtime."
Her steps headed toward the parking lot, unaware of the shadow quietly tailing her from the dark.
"If you really want to, I won’t refuse you."
"Don’t you want to...? Then wait a moment..."
Before the words were finished.
A pair of large hands suddenly reached out from behind, covering Eleanor’s mouth and nose.
The damp cloth had a pungent smell.
During the struggle, her phone fell to the ground.
Sebastian immediately sensed danger.
"Eleanor Valerius? Speak!"
The call was disconnected.
Eleanor was already unconscious, stunned into unconsciousness.
Almost simultaneously.
Sebastian tracked her phone signal, which abruptly disappeared at the project site, blocked.
The other party was prepared, capturing Eleanor because of him?!
Sebastian immediately contacted Wayne Wainwright for help.
He was frantic.
...
A splash of water to the face.
Eleanor slowly awakened.
She was in a strange, abandoned warehouse.
Feeling dizzy, she tried to struggle, only to realize her hands and feet were tied.
"You’re awake?"
A man wearing a sinister smiling white mask suddenly approached her.
Eleanor screamed in fright, her eyes widening, her voice trembling as she questioned: "Who are you? Why did you bring me here?"
"Of course, because you have value."
The masked man held her phone, the page stopped at her communication record with Sebastian Ford.
He spoke through a voice changer, making his voice sound awkward.
All that could be discerned was that he was a tall, thin man with dyed white hair.
"Don’t you know? In Aethelgard, no one dares to cross Third Master Ford, my uncle!"
It was Eleanor’s first time encountering such a situation.
She gritted her teeth, forcing herself to stay calm, needing to find a way to protect herself and call for help.
"Do you want money? Or do you have a grudge against the Ford Family? Did you grab the wrong person? I advise you to let me go! If Master Ford finds out, he can be terrifying in his rage. I haven’t seen your face, let me go, and I won’t call the police."
"Ha, such a cunning woman."
The masked man sneered, slowly drawing out a knife, playing with it in his hand.
"I know you’re Master Ford’s woman."
Upon hearing this, Eleanor’s eyes widened in disbelief.
How could her relationship with Sebastian Ford have been exposed?!
"Stop talking nonsense..."
"I’ve been following you for two days, and you’ve already slipped up."
Being exposed, Eleanor tightly pressed her lips, saying nothing, unsure what the masked man intended.
The knife in the masked man’s hand slowly pointed at her, the frigid glow of murderous intent.
"If you want to stay alive, tell me Master Ford’s secret."
Eleanor was stupefied and shocked.
He actually wanted to force her to betray and sell out Sebastian Ford?
"What secrets could Master Ford have? Outwardly gentlemanly, but behind the scenes a beast, does that count as a secret?"
As the words landed, the tip of the knife suddenly pressed against her neck.
Eleanor’s back stiffened, afraid to breathe too hard.
"You dare to play tricks in front of me? Do you think I won’t kill you?"
The masked man seemed very angry.
"I really don’t know, killing me won’t help!"
Eleanor couldn’t possibly betray Sebastian Ford.
Besides, she truly didn’t know his secrets.
She only knew the man he was in bed.
"Looks like you’re just unwilling to drink the honest wine."
Suddenly, the masked man grasped Eleanor’s cheeks with one hand, holding the knife up to her face with the other.
"If such a pretty face is disfigured, you’ll become a hideous freak. I’ll give you one last chance, will you reveal Master Ford’s secret to save yourself!"
Eleanor was genuinely terrified, her lips trembling.
"I don’t know, I won’t betray him."
Being disfigured didn’t scare her.
She just didn’t want to die.
"Sebastian Ford will definitely come to save me."
Just at this moment, the sound of a sports car engine came from outside.
The masked man was exceptionally sharp, giving Eleanor no chance to call for help, proceeding to the second phase of the plan.
Moments later.
Sebastian Ford and Wayne Wainwright entered the abandoned warehouse.
The sound came from the top floor, and he walked cautiously with his gun in hand.
Under the night sky, he saw Eleanor tied to the railing, her mouth sealed with tape, disheveled hair making her face even paler.
Seeing him from afar, Eleanor’s eyes welled with heat, her gaze filled with a plea for help.
"Don’t be afraid."
Sebastian stood in the shadows, donned in a suit, embodying a sinister aesthetic of violent beauty.
Unlike his gentle reassurance to Eleanor, as his gaze slowly turned to the masked man sitting on the railing, a murderous intent gleamed in his eyes.
"Dare to touch my person, looking for death!"
"Master Ford, this woman isn’t worth you saving her."
Unexpectedly, the masked man wasn’t afraid but accused with malice: "This woman just now sold you out to me to save her own skin. She’s selfish and leaving her by your side is a disaster. Why don’t I help you deal with her?"
Eleanor’s eyes widened, the masked man was blatantly slandering her!?
"Mmm mm..."
She wanted to refute and explain but couldn’t make a sound.
The last thing Sebastian Ford hated was betrayal. What if he didn’t believe her?
"Is that so?"
Sebastian’s eyes gleamed with a chilling gaze as he laughed.
Suddenly, Eleanor held her breath.
She saw Sebastian slowly raise his gun towards her.
