Chapter 7: Chapter 7: He Wants to Be Her Male Mistress!
Eleanor Valerius watched Sharon Sinclair with a wary gaze.
"I went to the room Jenson mentioned."
"Impossible."
Sharon, heavily made-up, stared at her probing, "I heard Mr. Holloway didn’t see you, and Jenson knows about your lies. You can’t keep playing games like this, or neither Jenson nor the Lancaster Family will want you."
This seemingly polite reminder was rooted in Sharon’s jealousy.
Turns out she didn’t know, and just wanted to test and teach her a lesson?
Eleanor feigned an innocent expression, replying, "Jenson sees value in me, and he’s certainly going to marry me.
I also know that a man as outstanding as Jenson will definitely attract a lot of women, but those women will never get any status, all their efforts will be in vain."
Being humiliated as futile, Sharon’s face contorted in rage.
Eleanor affectionately linked arms with her, deliberately acting naive as she said, "Sharon, you’re my good friend and Jenson’s dear sister. When we get married, you must be my bridesmaid and bless us."
Jealousy burned fiercely in Sharon’s eyes.
Eleanor didn’t expose her, because she still needed to use Sharon to break off the engagement.
But there was no rush; if she broke off with Jenson Lancaster, her mother would immediately arrange for her to be engaged to another man, making the situation even more dangerous.
...
Departing from the Lancaster Family.
Regina Jennings handed Eleanor Valerius the red paper with the wedding date, instructing her, "Since Mr. Ford is concerned about your marriage, you should personally go and finalize the date."
Eleanor could tell that her mother wanted her to go to the Ford Family to secure some benefits.
The servant led her to Mr. Ford’s study.
Eleanor was somewhat restrainedly respectful.
"Grandfather."
She didn’t expect to see both Uncle Byron Ford and Sebastian Ford present when she walked in.
Sebastian sat in a simple shirt and trousers, legs crossed, his deep, dark gaze falling on her.
Eleanor was inexplicably nervous, not daring to look at him, she walked forward smilingly to greet, "I didn’t expect to find both uncle and little uncle here."
In front of others, she still had to respectfully call him little uncle.
But behind the scenes, he did things without a hint of decorum.
"Grandfather, this is the wedding date chosen by the Lancaster Family. Mother said to bring it for your review."
Eleanor stood obediently, deliberately saying, "When I marry into the Lancaster Family as Mrs. Lancaster, I will certainly uphold the standards of propriety and not bring shame to the Ford or Valerius Families."
Sebastian chuckled abruptly.
Uphold propriety?
He clearly saw her as someone breaking all social norms.
"The Valerius Family is also part of the Ford Family. Although Ethan left early, his daughter’s wedding can’t be shabby."
Mr. Ford gestured, and the butler presented a large check as a wedding gift.
"Thank you, grandfather."
Eleanor was ready to leave with the check.
"A niece getting married, her uncle should also give a gift, right?"
Sebastian suddenly raised it.
"Of course, a gift is needed."
Byron Ford obviously hadn’t prepared, and after fumbling for a while, found he had nothing.
He laughed heartily without embarrassment, "Eleanor, wait a moment, I’ll have someone bring it."
"Yes, uncle."
Eleanor knew it was the little uncle keeping her from leaving.
Since she couldn’t leave, she took the initiative to brew fresh tea in front of the table.
During the conversation.
Mr. Ford suddenly brought up, "Sebastian, even your niece is getting married, you should consider your own marriage."
"Father should urge the third brother."
Byron Ford feigned ignorance, probing with hidden intent, "Sebastian, you’re running the Ford Family, surely you need a woman by your side. For years, we’ve never seen you bring anyone home. Don’t let father worry."
The key was he had sent many women to Sebastian, none succeeded.
Could it be that the third brother was really cold and indifferent?
He was even considering if he should try sending a man.
"Who said I don’t have a woman?"
Facing the pressure of marriage, Sebastian lazily made a shocking statement, "The woman I like is already taken, but she doesn’t want to break up, forcing me into the role of a male mistress."
"..."
Eleanor nearly burned her hand.
"Are you serious?"
Byron Ford was stunned, could there really be a woman who could move Sebastian’s heart?
Who is she!
The guilty woman currently serving tea.
"Why would I lie to you? You know I rarely have women around me, second brother."
Sebastian lowered his gaze, actually using a seemingly humble posture, saying, "She’s different. I disregarded ethics and morality to express my sincerity to her, but she repeatedly rejected me, playing me in the palm of her hand."
Eleanor: "?"
This was a baseless accusation!
Sebastian is clearly a high unreachable position, how could she have the ability to toy with him!
Subsequently, she served a cup of hot tea, handing it to Sebastian’s side.
"Little Uncle, have some tea."
Sebastian not only didn’t take it but deliberately brushed her hand.
Causing the spilling tea to burn her, she flinched.
"What happened?"
Byron Ford noticed and asked.
Eleanor suddenly panicked, Sebastian was teasing her in front of grandfather and uncle!
"I’m sorry, I didn’t hold the tea steadily, I’ll pour another cup."
Mr. Ford stared at Sebastian, questioning, "Who is this woman you’re talking about? In Aethelgard, is there a woman who dares to refuse you? Bring her here, I’ll ask her personally."
Suddenly, Sebastian’s gaze fixated straight on Eleanor.
Eleanor froze.
Immediately, Mr. Ford and Byron Ford both turned to her.
Her heart leaped into her throat, Sebastian wouldn’t outright say that the woman who didn’t acknowledge him was her, right?!
"Tea."
Sebastian slowly spoke.
At the moment, Eleanor’s fingers stiffly held the tea, cautiously glancing at him.
Sebastian leisurely sipped the tea, as though satisfied after enjoying her fearful appearance, finally answered softly.
"No rush, when she breaks up, I’ll bring her to meet you."
Eleanor breathed a sigh of relief, with lingering fear.
Leaving the study.
Byron Ford and Sebastian walked ahead.
Eleanor followed behind, not expecting Sebastian to suddenly stop.
Taking advantage of her approach, he clenched her waist forcefully.
"Ah..."
Eleanor cried out from the pain, nearly knocking over a nearby vase.
She dared not glare at Sebastian, the instigator appeared perfectly composed.
"Are you uncomfortable? Let me escort you home."
Byron Ford glanced back at the two of them.
He didn’t suspect, eager to investigate who this woman was making Sebastian willingly play the role of a male mistress!
Outside, Eleanor followed Sebastian, refusing to get in the car with a smile, "I wouldn’t dare waste your time, I can go home on my own."
Sebastian got in the car, but the door remained open.
He beckoned her with his finger.
Eleanor obediently stepped forward, bending over to gaze up at him.
"What else would Little Uncle like to instruct?"
"Dressed so conservatively today?"
Sebastian’s smile revealed a sudden danger, as his fingers traced her chest’s curve.
Eleanor held her breath.
This was at the Ford Family home, what if a servant saw it?
"I’ve set the wedding date, I’m getting married, naturally, I need to be more mindful."
Luckily, Sebastian only drew half a circle before stopping.
"Then Little Uncle wishes you an early happy marriage."
Eleanor’s smile remained sweet as ever.
"Thank you, Little Uncle."
She was playing with fire.
...
Late at night.
Sebastian, having dealt with a traitor at the base, was washing his hands unhurriedly.
He lit a cigarette as Mason Monroe handed him the phone; it was Wayne Wainwright calling.
"Master Ford, tonight Gigi is performing at an auction. I overheard someone suggesting she do a striptease. If you don’t come, Gigi might end up with other men."
Sebastian furrowed his brows.
Then realized Gigi was Eleanor Valerius’s stage name in the club.
"I’m not interested."
This woman just loved playing tricks behind the scenes to entice him.
How could he possibly fall for it?
...
"Vex" nightclub.
Wayne Wainwright wasn’t the least bit surprised by Sebastian’s arrival, having reserved the VIP suite and prepared the drinks.
"Master Ford, you’re such a hypocrite, can’t bear to part with Gigi, can you?"
Sebastian looked displeased; he was here to settle a score.
