My Aloof Husband Can't Stop His Devoted Affection-Chapter 146: Afraid I kept you waiting

Chapter 146

Chapter 146: 146: Afraid I kept you waiting
After a class ended, the people in the classroom dispersed one after another. Cen Jin sat in her original spot, not in a hurry to leave, simply feeling it was too crowded. She wanted to wait until the crowd thinned out before leaving.
Several groups of girls walked past her with expressions that seemed like they wanted to say something but were too shy to speak up.
Just by looking at their expressions, Cen Jin could already guess what they wanted to ask, but she didn’t want to be questioned by them, nor did she want to answer, so when they cast curious glances her way, Cen Jin simply smiled gently, appearing confident and poised, not awkward in the slightest.
When most of the people had left, Cen Jin received a WeChat message from Jiang Baizhou, asking her to leave the teaching building and head towards the school gate, to wait for him there. He said he would arrive shortly.
After reading it, Cen Jin replied with a cute sticker of a little girl, then picked up her bag and left the classroom.
On her way, Cen Jin walked lightly towards the school gate. As she looked at the campus walkway illuminated by streetlights, a slight smile appeared on her lips, and a feeling of nostalgia grew stronger.
Although they were not in the same university during college, she could still see Jiang Baizhou almost every week.
The two of them had been classmates since kindergarten, sometimes even deskmates. Throughout her school years, he was always in her memories, except for during university.
This suddenly made Cen Jin feel a bit regretful.
If they had been at the same university back then, they might not have waited until now! They probably would have been together during college.
Although she couldn’t explain why she felt this way, the feeling was incredibly strong, with a kind of inexplicable certainty.
Before she realized it, she had reached the school gate. Cen Jin stood about two or three meters outside the gate, took out her phone, and looked down to send a message to Jiang Baizhou, asking when he’d be out.
After waiting for about a minute, Jiang Baizhou replied succinctly with three words: "Six and a half."
Seeing these three incredibly precise words, Cen Jin’s lips twitched slightly. This faint trace of OCD and data sensitivity was so typical of his science-oriented mindset.
In the end, she put away her phone and quietly waited for his arrival.
Sure enough, right at six and a half minutes, a familiar black BMW stopped not far from her on the roadside. Cen Jin was very familiar with his car, so upon seeing it, she went straight over without needing to confirm who was inside. She opened the passenger door and got in, immediately saying, "Could you be any more precise with your timing? Bet you came with a stopwatch, huh?"
Jiang Baizhou’s lips curled up: "Didn’t want you waiting too long."
Cen Jin smiled, fastening her seatbelt.
After the car drove a short distance, a voice suddenly broke the silence inside: "Where did you read those psychology books?"
Hearing this, Cen Jin raised her eyebrows and looked at him, smiling sheepishly: "Mostly from the basic books under your coffee table at home, and yesterday I just grabbed whatever was on your desk at the office to read."
As she gazed at his deep side profile, Cen Jin touched her nose and smiled again: "Heh, you know me, I’ve got a good memory. Not as great as your photographic memory, but I can remember the gist after a couple of reads. But I didn’t really finish what I said just now, did I?"
"The patient’s initial and most common mental changes involve cognitive function, emotional changes, and will changes, with personality change being the last. This is the most basic mild symptom change, followed by...," Jiang Baizhou naturally continued, his tone more relaxed than during class.
"Hold it," Cen Jin raised her hand to stop him in time.
