My Aloof Husband Can't Stop His Devoted Affection-Chapter 233 - 230: Miss you

Chapter 233

Chapter 233: 230: Miss you
Jiang Baizhou’s gentle eyes were filled with a warm and deep smile, then he grasped her soft, tender hand and walked towards the elevator.
Once inside, Cen Jin playfully touched his arm and asked, "By the way, what made you suddenly decide to come to Milan?"
"If I said I missed you and wanted to see you, would you believe me?" Jiang Baizhou raised an eyebrow and looked at her with meaningful eyes, his tone full of playful teasing.
Upon hearing this, Cen Jin’s face blossomed into a smile like a flower, not feeling embarrassed at all. Perhaps after being with him for so long, she had become accustomed to his thick-skinned ways, and even felt a bit proud. "Of course I believe you, hehe!"
Actually, Cen Jin understood Jiang Baizhou very well; she always knew he was someone who didn’t like to express his feelings and preferred to act directly. But this time, his actions really impressed her. She never expected that during her first business trip after being with him, he would surprise her by flying over directly.
After reaching her floor, Cen Jin pulled him into her room. As soon as the door closed, before she could even turn around, a handsome figure in black enveloped her, causing her to take two steps back. Her back pressed against the door, her head buzzing, with a large hand propped next to it, and then she was kissed, losing her breath.
She knew he must be tired from the more than ten-hour flight, as the exhaustion on his face was all too evident. How could she not feel sorry for him?
Moreover, she understood his longing, but more than that, she hoped he would take a hot shower first to ward off the chill, lest he catch a cold right after arriving in Milan.
Jiang Baizhou, noticing the suspicious flush on her cheeks, lightly gulped. He slowly regained his rationality, feeling a bit dry-mouthed but with a wicked smile forming at his lips. He raised an eyebrow slightly as he murmured by her ear, "Hmm? Are you going to wait for me?"
Those were exactly the kind of words she couldn’t handle. Every time she heard them, she’d blush shyly. At this moment, her ears burned red, and she glared sideways at him, giving his waist a playful pinch. "Enough, go on, I’ll sort out your luggage." She then ducked her head, slipped out from under his arm, pushed his luggage to the bed, and began unpacking.
Jiang Baizhou watched her crouching figure, chuckling to himself. In a great mood, he took two steps forward. "At least tell me where the bathroom is. I just got here, how would I know?"
"Over there," Cen Jin pointed to the right without looking up, indicating to him.
"Okay, I’m going to shower then." Jiang Baizhou deliberately elongated his tone, observing her obviously tense posture, his eyes crinkling with laughter.
When Jiang Baizhou came out of the shower, Cen Jin had already finished unpacking his suitcase and was lounging in a soft chair by the floor-to-ceiling window, seemingly chatting on her phone.
Jiang Baizhou looked at her alluring figure, his eyes filled with a hint of a smile. He casually dried his hair with a towel before tossing it aside, and then approached the chair, crouching down with his hand gently placed on her waist. Leaning down slowly, his husky voice was captivating: "Hmm? Who are you chatting with?"
Hearing this, Cen Jin turned to see Jiang Baizhou crouched beside her. His white bathrobe was open, revealing a firm chest still dripping with water. His handsome face bore a warm yet slightly profound smile, making Cen Jin’s heart skip a beat, leaving her momentarily stunned. "I... I’m chatting with Shi Shu."
Jiang Baizhou watched her cheeks gradually turn a blush red, satisfactorily raising an eyebrow and lowering his voice, "Hmm, I’ve finished showering."
Hmm, so?
Cen Jin blinked blankly, staring at him in confusion.
Feigning ignorance, Cen Jin teased, "Well... Since you’re all cleaned up and you’ve been on a plane so long, you should get some rest! Go to bed early..."
"I’m hungry."
"Well... should I have some food sent up?" Cen Jin ignored his underlying implication, her gaze wandering evasively.
Faced with her feigned ignorance, Jiang Baizhou could only laugh helplessly, yet he didn’t give her any chance.
That night, as twilight set in, the moon and stars were few...
The next morning, Cen Jin was woken by the glaring morning light. She instinctively covered her eyes from the blinding sun, taking a moment to adjust. Turning over, a familiar handsome face met her eyes, filling her heart with warmth. She smiled but couldn’t help blushing when she recalled last night’s events, burying her face in his chest.
Perhaps sensing her movement, Jiang Baizhou tightened his hold slightly, not opening his eyes as his soft lips murmured, "Awake?"
His hoarse, warm voice reached her ears, making Cen Jin look up suddenly with her bright eyes sparkling. "Mm, are you awake too?"
"What time is it?"
Cen Jin glanced at the decorative clock on the wall. "Fourteen minutes past seven."
"It’s still early. Why not sleep a bit more?"
"Woke up from hunger," Cen Jin admitted awkwardly. She didn’t eat much last night and after he pulled her into labor, she couldn’t help waking up from hunger now.
Thinking about it, Cen Jin pouted unhappily, her small hand resting on his chest and her chin on her hand, looking at him. "Aren’t you hungry? Did you eat something on the plane last night?"
"No," Jiang Baizhou finally opened his eyes, meeting hers as his hands naturally settled on her waist under the covers. "Now that you mention it, I am a bit hungry."
He was a picky eater, and on the plane, he indeed felt a little hungry and ordered food. But after just one bite, he had it taken away. By the time they got to the hotel last night, he was still a bit hungry, but upon seeing her, all hunger was forgotten. Now, however, he felt it again.
"Let’s go get some breakfast! I have to go to the fashion show at nine today. It’s the last day, and it might end earlier. If you’re free, feel free to explore around." Cen Jin said while getting up from his arms, nimbly flipping off the covers and tidying her pajamas. "The scenery around here is quite nice, especially near the square. It’s bustling both by day and night; I went there once with Yun Xi and Ling Ran before."
Jiang Baizhou, propping his head with one hand, watched her busy herself, only turning to look at the sunlight outside the floor-to-ceiling window when she entered the bathroom.
The early winter sunlight, though a bit harsh, was still comforting and cozy, giving off a very pleasant and leisurely vibe.
When Cen Jin finished washing up and came out, Jiang Baizhou had already gotten out of bed and was standing by the window, gazing at the view. After arriving last night, he didn’t have the chance to appreciate the night scenery. Now, upon looking out, the view indeed seemed nice.
"I’ve finished washing up. You should go now! All the disposable toiletries are in the drawer, and the towel I brought is hanging on the rack." Cen Jin mentioned as she made her way to the wardrobe, looking for her outfit for the day.
"Alright." Jiang Baizhou turned back to glance at her silhouette with a light smile, responding gently.
When the two left the room after getting ready, it was already 7:48. Jiang Baizhou was holding her hand as they strolled around the nearby streets.
This scene was something Cen Jin had longed for since her first morning here, never expecting it to come true just a few days later.
Gazing at the warm large hand holding hers, Cen Jin smiled to herself, her heart feeling sweet and fulfilled.
It seemed that no matter what she was thinking, it wouldn’t take long for him to make her dreams come true.
"What’s up?" Sensing her intense gaze, Jiang Baizhou turned to look, met by a charming face blooming with a sweet smile under the morning sun, stirring a slight flutter in his heart. His grip tightened slightly.
Suddenly, he felt an urge to hide her away, not letting anyone else see.
Such a mesmerizing smile—he almost couldn’t bear to let anyone else, not even a woman, gaze upon it.
"Nothing, hehe. Let’s eat here! I was here with Ling Ran and the others yesterday. The food and everything were pretty good, and the shop owner here is particularly interesting and friendly." Cen Jin responded shyly with a smile, changing the subject as she pointed to the shop ahead.
