The next day, the weather was gloomy, without a hint of sunshine. Ye Lingran always had a habit of making breakfast and cooking for herself. She also had her own biological clock, waking up naturally around 7:30 every day. She spent about ten minutes freshening up, tied her hair with an elastic band, rolled up the sleeves of her pajamas, and went to the kitchen to get ingredients from the fridge to prepare breakfast.
She made breakfast in twenty minutes, just in time to start eating at eight. After finishing breakfast, it was already 8:15. Ye Lingran washed the dishes and tidied up the kitchen in less than five minutes, then went back to the dressing room to change clothes. She didn’t have to worry about packing for her afternoon trip to Jiang City because she had already packed her luggage the night before.
By 8:40, Ye Lingran was dressed and out the door. Since it was late, she drove herself to the studio and mentioned to Cen Jin that she would go to Jiang City with Yun Qi in the afternoon to discuss special leather materials. Cen Jin was naturally happy because this order was just missing this leather material. But seeing her going with Yun Qi, her eyes narrowed without saying it out loud, only wishing her a safe journey. She also asked if she wanted to bring along Ling Quan or any of them, but Ye Lingran declined, saying the studio was busy and there was no need to drag someone else along, she could manage on her own.
After a busy morning in her design studio, Ye Lingran ordered takeout for lunch with Cen Jin and the others. Since she had a flight to catch in the afternoon, she drove back to get her luggage after eating.
Just as she entered the house, Yun Qi’s call came through, and Ye Lingran quickly answered, "Hello!"
"Are you home?"
"I just got home." Ye Lingran switched to cotton slippers and quickly ran to the dressing room to pull out her suitcase, "Are you already downstairs?"
"About two minutes away."
"Okay, I’m coming down now."
"Hmm."
After hanging up, Ye Lingran put her phone in her bag, suddenly remembering she forgot her scarf. She went back to fetch it, confirmed she hadn’t left anything behind, and pushed her suitcase out the door. She spent a bit of time waiting for the elevator, and when she exited the villa district, a super-luxurious business car came into view in her bright almond eyes.
Seeing Ye Lingran’s figure, Yun Qi opened the car door and got out, striding over to take her suitcase, "Get in the car! I’ll handle it."

Sitting in the car, Shao Min and Chai Jie suddenly felt uneasy. Handling the suitcase should have been their job, but with Yun Qi personally doing it, they suddenly felt a bit anxious, wondering if they might lose their jobs.

When Yun Qi went to put away the suitcase, the driver immediately got out to help. Ye Lingran stood by the car door waiting. Just as she sat down, Yun Qi naturally took the seat next to her. Ye Lingran was surprised, initially thinking that her ticket, booked later, wouldn’t allow them to sit together. Yet, here they were.
"What’s wrong?" Yun Qi noticed her gaze mixed with slight strangeness, so he chuckled and asked.
Ye Lingran shook her head, changed the topic, and said, "Nothing, it seems like it takes over three hours to fly to Jiang City, doesn’t it?"
"Yes, you can take a nap first. We don’t have any work scheduled for the evening, and our meeting is set for 9 a.m. tomorrow. We can grab some food after landing."
"Okay." Ye Lingran usually had the habit of taking an afternoon nap, unless she was very busy, so after finishing her conversation with Yun Qi, she pulled out a pink sleep mask from her bag and began her nap.
Yun Qi glanced at her profile, smiled knowingly, and even placed the pillow on his side beside her for her to have a more comfortable sleep.
"Hmm?" Feeling the pillow placed next to her, Ye Lingran pulled off her sleep mask in confusion and looked at him.
"Sleep well! I’ll wake you when we’re about to arrive," Yun Qi smiled warmly, giving her a reassuring smile.
Noting that he was unconcerned, Ye Lingran didn’t say much, just thanked him and pulled down the sleep mask to continue her nap.
After about ten minutes, Yun Qi noticed Ye Lingran’s breathing had gradually steadied, indicating she was asleep. She still looked extremely peaceful; however, her head was resting on the seat back as if she had lost her support, slowly slipping down, though not noticeably so.
After watching for a while, Yun Qi saw her move slightly, as if searching for a comfortable sleeping position. Because she was sitting, her head remained tilted with no support, making it uneasy to sleep as her head would slip down every few minutes.
Seeing this, Yun Qi couldn’t help but laugh. He shifted a little closer, raised the armrest between them, and gently placed her head on his shoulder, being very cautious. Seeing that she showed no signs of waking, a soft tenderness filled Yun Qi’s gaze.
