Near noon, the sun grew warmer, melting about half of the snow that blanketed Jiang City. Ye Lingran lay in her chair, feeling a bit drowsy, when suddenly, a clear doorbell rang sharply, sweeping all her sleepiness away. She snapped her eyes open, and the laptop on her lap almost slipped off, but luckily, she caught it quickly.
After getting up and placing the laptop safely, she walked to the door, looked through the peephole, and saw Yun Qi standing outside. A smile unconsciously spread across her face as she quickly opened the door: "Are you done with your work?"
"Yeah." Seeing her gentle smiling face, Yun Qi also chuckled lightly and asked, "What were you doing?"
"I was drawing design sketches and almost fell asleep." Ye Lingran smiled, a little embarrassed.
"What time did you get up this morning?"
"A little after seven." After answering, she added, "Then I went back to sleep and got up again after ten."
"Did you have breakfast?"
"Um... when I got up, I ordered a cup of coffee and a dessert, so I guess that counts as breakfast!"
"Are you hungry now?" Yun Qi raised his wrist to check the time, seeing it was already twelve fourteen, and asked with a smile, "Do you want to go out and eat something?"
"Sure, wait a moment while I grab my coat and bag."

However, after she turned back inside, Yun Qi unceremoniously walked in, watching as she first went to the recliner by the floor-to-ceiling window to save the design draft on her laptop, then shut it down and carried the laptop back to the bedroom.
About five or six minutes later, Ye Lingran came back out, wearing the same orange coat and carrying a beige bag: "Okay, ready to go."
Upon hearing her, Yun Qi turned his head to look over and nodded: "Alright." As he prepared to turn around, he inadvertently noticed her wearing high-heeled ankle boots, squinting his eyes: "How’s your foot? Does it still hurt?"
"Much better already." Ye Lingran glanced down at her shoes and replied with a gentle smile.
Yun Qi pursed his lips, saying nothing more, and left with her. When they got downstairs, Ye Lingran noticed that Shao Min and Chai Jie were not around and curiously asked, "Hey, why haven’t I seen Shao Min and Chai Jie! Are they not done with work? Aren’t they having lunch?"
"They rushed to catch a flight. After their meeting ended at eleven this morning, they left and should be at the airport by now."
"Huh? Where are they going? Back to Nancheng?" Ye Lingran listened, bewildered, not understanding, and looked at him. If Shao Min and the others had left, why were she and Yun Qi still here? In fact, aside from the partnership talked about yesterday morning, she had nothing else, and could have returned to Nancheng today. If you want to return to Nancheng, I’ll book a ticket for tomorrow morning, and we can go back together."
