Seeing it was a call from Yun Qi, she figured he might be a bit worried since she hadn’t shown up for a while. Taking back the card offered by the salesperson, Ye Lingran stepped aside, phone in hand, and answered the call: "Hello..."
"Where are you? Why haven’t you arrived yet? It’s been quite a while," Yun Qi’s voice was filled with concern.
"I’m still in the mall! Just give me a moment, and I’ll be right there." After finishing her sentence, the salesperson approached with the bag. "Did you run over here?" Noticing the fine sweat on her forehead and her panting, Yun Qi raised an eyebrow. "The weather is hot. You should’ve taken your time. I wasn’t going anywhere."

"What were you up to?" Yun Qi chuckled, noticing the bag in her hand. Recognizing the logo, he was naturally aware since he even owned a suit from the brand. Questioningly, he looked at her, "Is this...?"
"Here, it’s for you," Ye Lingran responded with a shy smile, feeling a bit embarrassed. "We’ve known each other for so long, yet this is my first time buying you a gift. Except for my dad, I haven’t bought anything for another man before. I’m not sure if you’ll like it. You’ve always been the one buying stuff for me, and it feels like you’ve spent a lot on me. If I didn’t do something, I’d feel like I couldn’t face you next time."
Yun Qi was somewhat taken aback, accepting the bag she handed over and couldn’t help but smile, "So, the reason you were late was that you went to buy me something?"
"Yes."
"Silly, it’s only natural for me to buy you things. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about." Yun Qi reached out to pat her head. However, looking at the gift in his hand, he still felt quite pleased at heart.
