Chapter 493: Setting Up The Towers
’Of course.’
After replying to Bai Hanyun, the Yang Mirror turned to the Yin Mirror and said, "Wife, I need to go out for a while."
She smiled and gently said, "Mhm. Be careful."
Touched by her concern, the Yang Mirror leaned down and kissed her gently on the forehead before disappearing.
Looking at the blue sky shrouded in misty spiritual energy, the Yin Mirror murmured softly, "Master... maybe the ending will be different this time."
While she reminisced about the past, the Yang Mirror appeared in front of Bai Hanyun.
Seeing him suddenly appear, Feng Xiyan and Gui Ying did not react, but Bao Shengjie and Wu Jun were startled. Out of instinct, both reached for their guns and aimed them at the Yang Mirror.
Before they could act, Bai Hanyun hurriedly stepped in front of the Yang Mirror, blocking the guns.
"He is my friend!" she said.
Hearing this, Bao Shengjie and Wu Jun lowered their weapons.
Looking at Bai Hanyun, the Yang Mirror smiled in satisfaction. "Girl, you are quite loyal."
Bai Hanyun let out a sigh of relief, then turned to look at him. "Can’t you at least warn me before suddenly appearing like that?" she asked, rolling her eyes.
The Yang Mirror pretended not to hear her and asked instead, "Where do you want to open the permanent space and time portal?"
"Here," Bai Hanyun replied.
Receiving her answer, the Yang Mirror scanned the room before nodding. "Although the spiritual energy here is very thin, it should be enough to support a smaller space and time portal."
With a wave of his hand, the large wooden table and stools floated aside, clearing the space in the middle of the room.
After that, the Yang Mirror formed a series of hand seals.
Standing to the side, Bai Hanyun and the others calmly watched the familiar process of opening the space and time portal.
When the Yang Mirror completed the hand seals, a golden formation appeared in the air before him. A few seconds later, cracks formed in the air and expanded rapidly.
Seeing this, the Yang Mirror sliced his fingertips with spiritual energy and drew three drops of blood. Guiding them with his spiritual energy, he sent the golden droplets into the core of the formation.
After absorbing the golden blood, the formation shone brightly. Soon, its golden hue gradually darkened, and the black portal shifted into a deep purple color.
Sitting nearby, Gui Ying popped a potato chip into his mouth while watching the process thoughtfully.
When the space and time portal fully opened, instead of the usual endless darkness, faint images flickered across its surface from time to time.
Turning to Bai Hanyun, the Yang Mirror asked, "We can connect the portal now. Where is the destination?"
"My living room," Bai Hanyun replied calmly.
Hearing this, the Yang Mirror paused for a moment. "Are you sure?" he asked with a slight frown.
Bai Hanyun nodded. "Don’t worry. I know what I’m doing. Besides, if anything happens, you can just close the portal."
After a brief consideration, the Yang Mirror replied, "Alright."
He turned back to the space and time portal and formed another hand seal. As golden light gathered at his index and middle fingers, he tapped the surface of the portal.
In the next instant, the flickering image stabilized. Everyone present could clearly see Bai Hanyun’s living room through the portal.
"It’s done," the Yang Mirror said. Then he looked at Bai Hanyun and asked casually, "Do you want me to set a restriction on it?"
Her eyes lit up at his words. "You can do that?" she asked expectantly.
"Of course. It’s a piece of cake," he replied. "I can set a restriction so only those with permission can use the portal. Anyone else will be swallowed the moment they touch the space and time portal."
After thinking for a moment, Bai Hanyun said, "Alright. Give permission to Feng Xiyan and my friends."
"Understood."
Without wasting time, the Yang Mirror formed another series of hand seals. A smaller golden formation briefly appeared at the center of the portal before vanishing in less than a second.
"Done."
Seeing no visible change, Bai Hanyun approached the portal and examined it curiously. "I don’t see any difference..."
Hearing this, the Yang Mirror rolled his eyes. "Of course you can’t. Do you think my skills are so low that I would leave visible traces?"
Seeing his displeasure, Bai Hanyun grinned and gave him a thumbs-up. "Alright, alright. You are the best!"
The Yang Mirror snorted at her insincere praise. "If there is nothing else, I’m going back to accompany my wife."
"You are really too clingy," Bai Hanyun said disdainfully.
The Yang Mirror glanced at her and snorted again. "What do you know? You are still a child."
Before she could retort, he waved his sleeve and vanished.
After he left, Bai Hanyun turned to Wu Jun. "Brother Wu, you can start now."
"Alright." Wu Jun nodded and got to work. After connecting the equipment to the Wi-Fi, he contacted Hua Yuyu and the others.
"This is Orion. your status. Over."
A second later, responses came in one after another.
"Alpha One in position."
"Alpha Two in position."
"Alpha Three in position."
"Alpha Four in position."
"Alpha Five in position."
"Alpha Six in position."
After confirming their s, Wu Jun said, "Connecting the towers in three... two... one."
As his words fell, he pressed the Enter key, and the portable receiver and broadcasting tower activated.
Standing behind him, Bai Hanyun stared at the three laptop screens. Out of the eight towers, six were already connected to the main tower.
"Connection successful," Wu Jun announced calmly.
Hearing this, Hua Yuyu let out a sigh of relief. After camouflaging his portable tower, he said, "This is Alpha One. Moving to the seventh position."
Almost immediately, Xie Wei’s voice followed. "This is Alpha Three. Moving to the eighth position."
"Permission granted. Alpha One and Alpha Three proceed. All others return to headquarters."
"Roger that," Gao Gong and the others replied in unison.
