My Wife is an Evil Dragon-Chapter 20

Chapter 20

Chapter 20: I Have a Brilliant Plan
Back at home, the first thing Xia Li did was teach Lucia the basics of daily hygiene.
Although Lucia was a bit stupid, this stupidity was limited to a lack of common sense.
Actually, Lucia was a fast learner. She was willing to learn many things as long as Xia Li was willing to teach.
For a dragon, she should be one of the smartest.
“Good.
After brushing, hold the water in your mouth, gargle a couple of times, and then spit it out.”
The two were squeezed into the small and cramped bathroom. Xia Li stood beside Lucia, brushing his teeth to demonstrate for her.
Lucia tilted her head, carefully watching Xia Li’s hand while making clumsy imitations.
The dense foam flowing out of her mouth ran down her wrist and quickly disappeared into her sleeve.
“Like this?”
Lucia imitated Xia Li and spat out the mouthwash, showing her brushed teeth to him.
This evil dragon’s teeth looked quite neat and clean. Every tooth in her mouth was neatly arranged, except for the two upper canines… which seemed to be sharper than those of ordinary people.
It would probably hurt a lot if she bit someone.
Xia Li thought to himself for no reason and nodded. “Yes, brush once every morning after you wake up and once before you go to bed at night.
Also, take a bath. You should know how to do that, right? There’s no strict frequency for this. You can wash whenever you feel dirty.”
“What does ‘feeling dirty’ mean?”
Lucia turned to look at Xia Li.
Since the entrance to the sink was narrow, the two stood sideways. Lucia needed to raise her head high to look at Xia Li.
“It means when you’ve sweated or been on a long trip. Bathing can relieve physical fatigue to a certain extent.”
“Oh…”
Lucia couldn’t understand why humans had so many things to do. They had to brush their teeth and take a bath every day.
Their dragon race slept whenever they wanted, ate when they woke up, and went for a walk when they were tired of eating. No one had such a complicated life process like humans.
“But I don’t know how to take a bath,” Lucia said, turning back.
She wondered if jumping into a mud puddle and rolling around counted as bathing.
But there were no mud puddles in Xia Li’s house.
“I can’t demonstrate this… I’ll play a baby bathing video on the TV for you later, and you can learn from it.”
Xia Li put down his toothbrush and started teaching Lucia how to distinguish between shower gel and shampoo, as well as how to use the showerhead.
Lucia always felt that there was water magic and fire magic hidden in the showerhead, so Xia Li had to take her to see the water heater in the kitchen.
The moment the water heater ignited, Lucia’s small face froze.
When she heard that the flame inside could burn forever and never go out, she quickly grabbed Xia Li and exclaimed.
“What a great invention! It’s even more enduring than the flame of a red dragon!”
“Yeah, how long it lasts depends on how long my wallet can hold out,” Xia Li said helplessly, turning off the kitchen faucet.
“Remember, whether it’s water or natural gas, they are resources, and resources cost money, so don’t waste them.”
“I understand this!” Lucia said with a solemn face.
“Humans on Azure Continent fight each other for resources. When the internal distribution of resources is complete, they will target the dragon race’s territory.”
“Yes, so we have to conserve our resources.”
Xia Li didn’t know much about the history of Azure Continent. He responded perfunctorily and took Lucia to the living room to watch TV.
He went back to the kitchen to cook.
He looked at the fresh fruits, vegetables, and a live carp he had bought and pondered for a moment.
Xia Li decided to make a simple egg fried rice.
Mainly because he hadn’t cooked in a long time, and it was already noon. He didn’t have much time left to cook.
As for the fish… he would keep it in the sink for now and deal with it later in the evening.
He took out the steaming rice from the rice cooker, cracked two eggs, added a spoonful of chopped green onions, and after a simple stir-fry, Xia Li carried the basin to the living room to find Lucia.
He suddenly remembered, if he found a job later, should he let Lucia cook?
Anyway, she was idle at home. It would be good to let her find something to do to help him.
◈◈◈
Thinking of this, Xia Li was about to call Lucia over, but when he looked up, he found that she had already sat down at the dining table very consciously.
Lucia held a chopstick in one hand and a spoon in the other. The dining chair was a bit high for her, and her small feet in white socks couldn’t reach the ground, so they could only dangle in the air.
Seeing Xia Li coming over, Lucia eagerly looked up, her eyes fixed on him like a hungry wolf.
“…”
Xia Li wanted to teach her how to chop green onions and beat eggs, but seeing her eager to pounce on food, he decided to feed her first.
“Put down the spoon and use chopsticks.”
Xia Li’s tone was serious, and Lucia was exceptionally obedient under the temptation of food.
She decisively threw away the spoon and used the two bamboo sticks in her hands to eat from the basin.
Yes, a basin.
To prevent her from making a mess, Xia Li had specially replaced the porcelain bowl with a large stainless steel basin used for soup at home.
It turned out that his prediction was correct.
Lucia’s eating style was quite rough.
Xia Li was very tolerant. He didn’t care whether Lucia was using a dog paddle or stirring blindly, as long as she could get the rice into her mouth with chopsticks.
He would let her get familiar with how to hold chopsticks first and then slowly correct her later.
“Xia Li, I have a brilliant plan.”
Xia Li went back to the kitchen and served himself a bowl of egg fried rice.
Before he could even take a bite, he saw the mess in front of Lucia, who had already finished her meal.
…Sometimes he really doubted whether she poured food directly into her stomach.
“Tell me,” Xia Li said calmly, his emotions stable.
“Xia Li, the slippers you bought are so ugly.”
Lucia stepped her feet into her slippers and wiggled her toes.
“What’s wrong with them?”
Xia Li glanced at the dark green fish-head slippers, thinking that they looked pretty good.
Lucia’s feet were small, and stepping into the fish-head slippers looked as if her feet were being eaten by fish, which was quite amusing.
“Isn’t it because you ran off, and I couldn’t find you when I bought slippers, so I just grabbed a pair?”
Xia Li didn’t think there was anything wrong with his taste, but he paused for a moment, feeling that Lucia’s two sentences didn’t seem to connect.
“Is this your brilliant plan?”
“No, no,”
Lucia shook her head. Sitting in front of the stainless steel basin that was bigger than her face, she began to tell Xia Li about the top-notch plan she had been thinking about for half an hour.
“This morning, didn’t we go to the gold shop…”
“Yes.”
“You said the gold crown I liked was worth 700,000 yuan.”
“Yes.”
“700,000 yuan! If we had 700,000 yuan, we could buy a lot of fried rice cakes.”
Lucia became more and more excited as she spoke. Xia Li stopped his chopsticks and looked at this silly dragon.
He had a bad feeling.
According to the thinking of an evil dragon…
“We can just go and grab the crown and take it home, then we can eat a lot of fried rice cakes!” Lucia slapped the table with her small hand and said excitedly.
