Chapter 6: Come, Come Inside with Me
Lucia had wanted to ask this for a while now, why were there other humans living in this building?
Although Xia Li couldn’t be called a noble, he was a famous Brave Hero. He should have a mountain of gold coins at home, right?
But why couldn’t he even afford a whole building and had to live with other humans?
Lucia didn’t understand.
Evil Dragons usually liked to occupy an entire mountain range by themselves. If she could transform into a dragon right now, this small place where Xia Li lived wouldn’t even be enough for her to put down a single tail.
“This is the living room.”
“The living room is so small!”
“This is the bedroom…”
“The bedroom is also small.”
“This is the bathroom.”
“The bathroom is also…”
Just as Lucia was expressing her thoughts one by one, following Xia Li’s introduction,
she seemed to see Xia Li’s dragon-slaying eyes.
That look… as if he wanted to break Lucia’s dragon head off.
Lucia swallowed, holding back the words that were about to come out of her mouth.
Evil Dragons didn’t have so many twists and turns, nor did they pay attention to the way they spoke. Basically, they would directly express any true feelings they had. Xia Li didn’t bother arguing with this silly dragon.
After giving Lucia a brief tour of his room and living room, Xia Li finally took her into a small, windowless room.
The apartment Xia Li lived in was originally a two-bedroom apartment, and there had always been a spare room at home. If he hadn’t thought of this dusty little room, Xia Li might not have been willing to let Lucia live in his home.
Just imagine, living in the same room with a nemesis who once wanted his life at any time… wouldn’t his neck be cold all night?
“You’ll be staying here from now on.”
“Here?”
With a ‘creak,’ the door of the small room was pushed open by Xia Li.
Lucia curiously glanced inside, but ended up inhaling a nose full of dust, making her cough non-stop.
“Cough, cough… Is this a place for humans, for dragons to live?”
It was small enough, and so dirty!
Although most of their dragon race slept in caves and didn’t have high requirements for living environments, they wouldn’t sleep in a place like this, right?
This small square room was like a coffin box in the human world, how scary for a dragon!
After seeing Xia Li’s living room, Lucia didn’t expect this guy’s house to have a room full of gold coins for her to lie down and sleep on, but at least give her a cushion, right?
Could it be that he wanted her, a Pureblood Silver Dragon, to sleep on the floor?
Lucia wailed inwardly. The thought of having to curl up like a cat in a corner of this room in the future made her feel a little aggrieved.
Was there any difference between this and being captured after defeat?
“If you don’t sleep here, then go sleep on the balcony outside the living room.”
Xia Li saw the disgust in the evil dragon’s shocked eyes, so he raised his hand and pointed to the balcony outside the living room.
Although his house was a bit small, only sixty square meters, the balcony was quite large.
Not only was it well-lit, but it was also well-ventilated.
But the disadvantage was also obvious, that is, it would rain.
“Then I’ll sleep on the balcony!”
Lucia only glanced at the situation over there and immediately said.
“…” Xia Li was speechless.
He had intended to casually threaten Lucia, but he didn’t expect this guy to actually take it seriously.
Sleep on the balcony then, anyway, it was autumn and the temperature was dropping. It would be good to let this evil dragon suffer a bit.
“Let’s make it clear first, if you sleep on the balcony, you can’t jump down, and you can’t make strange noises downstairs.” Xia Li closed the door of the small room and instructed.
He didn’t know if this evil dragon would be injured from a fall from the third floor, but jumping down would definitely scare passersby.
Xia Li felt like he had picked up a stray cat, and he had to educate this stray cat on the most basic rules of conduct.
However, cats wouldn’t eat four pieces of bread in one go.
“Why would I jump down…” Lucia was stunned, “And why would I make strange noises?”
“I heard that you dragon race like to do an evil dragon roar after waking up.” Xia Li shrugged and said.
Lucia’s small face froze: “How much prejudice do you Brave Heroes have against our dragon race…”
Prejudice, whether it was humans against dragons or dragons against humans, actually existed.
These two races had been fighting in Azure Continent for thousands of years, and their historical stories recorded in history books were trying their best to discredit each other.
Xia Li didn’t want to argue about this kind of issue, he went to his room and carried out a camp bed.
This was something he had bought during military training in college, and it had been gathering dust in the corner ever since. Now it could barely be used.
He set up the small bed in a dry spot on the balcony where the rain didn’t reach, wiped it briefly with a rag, and brought over a spare quilt and pillow.
◈◈◈
Lucia followed Xia Li the whole time. She stood on the balcony, the strong wind blowing her clothes (bath towel) fluttering.
This matter seemed so magical…
Brave Hero Xia Li was actually making the bed for her…?
“That’s about it.”
Xia Li had been busy for a while, and a simple dragon’s lair was ready.
Originally, this should have been left to Lucia to do herself, but he guessed that this guy would only mess things up, and in the end, she might just lie down in a cardboard box.
After all, it was Lucia’s first day at his house, Xia Li considered this his way of hospitality, and he took extra care of Lucia.
“Come, come inside with me.”
“Oh…”
Lucia reluctantly glanced at the bed in the corner of the balcony, still feeling a little expectant.
Although she had transformed into a human form and gone out to play many times, this was the first time she had slept in human form.
Back in the living room, Xia Li started to tidy up the house.
No one had lived in this house for a week, and the height of the third floor made it easy to accumulate dust. Xia Li took a rag and simply wiped the white dust off the tables and chairs.
After wiping the dining table and coffee table, Xia Li looked down and saw a long trail of muddy footprints in the house.
He finally set his sights on the culprit.
Lucia sat upright on the sofa, probably because it was her first time visiting a human home. This evil dragon showed a sense of unease all over her body.
Her hands were on her thighs, her knees were together, and her back was straight.
At first glance, it looked a bit like the standard sitting posture that kindergarten children had just learned.
“Your shoes…”
Xia Li hesitated as he looked at the leather boots.
Lucia’s body had indeed shrunk a lot, which caused the leather boots on her feet to be a size larger. A pair of fair ankles were stepping on the empty short boots, coupled with her drenched and messy appearance, the whole picture gave Xia Li the feeling of a homeless little girl.
“Take off your shoes.”
Xia Li was in a trance for a moment, thinking that he was almost deceived by Lucia’s pitiful appearance again.
This guy was an Evil Dragon.
The ‘evil’ of an Evil Dragon was ingrained in its bones, a pure evil.
This species possessed powerful strength and a mind that didn’t match its strength.
Simply put, it was equivalent to teenagers having an AK47 with unlimited ammunition.
They were mentally immature, but they were all-powerful, sometimes unaware of the disaster their actions brought to the world, simply because they were having fun or following their interests.
Therefore, in Azure Continent, dragons had always been regarded as the most dangerous existence by humans.
“Okay?”
Lucia obediently took off her short boots.
Her snow-white little feet stepped on the beige floor tiles, the back of her feet slightly arched, and her toes were as pink as lotus buds.
Xia Li only glanced at it unintentionally and quickly looked away.
In his mind, he recalled the huge toes of the Silver Dragon. The thick silver dragon scales on the evil dragon’s claws were densely covered, and each scale on them emitted a strange silvery-white brilliance. The tips of the claws were extremely sharp, and the barbs even hid years of mud.
Foot fetish?
Non-existent.
Impossible to control at all.
Xia Li went to his shoe rack and took out a pair of flip-flops that he wore in the summer. These flip-flops were a bit cold to wear in the autumn, but they were just right for Lucia, who was insensitive to temperature.
“You can make do with these for now, I’ll buy you a suitable pair in a few days.”
Xia Li threw the shoes at Lucia’s feet.
Lucia blinked her brown eyes, glanced at Xia Li, and then stepped her feet into these oversized flip-flops.
Why was Brave Hero Xia Li being so attentive to her?
They had only ceased fire, not become friends, right? Xia Li was being too nice to her, wasn’t he?
The dragon race’s minds were generally quite simple, and they wouldn’t think about many interests and schemes like humans.
But after all, Lucia was in a foreign land, and she thought about it more in this environment.
Until now, Lucia still felt that Xia Li was boiling a frog in warm water ━
He wanted to coax her into giving him baby dragons!
