Back in the days of the Third Shinobi World War, he had charged into the Land of Earth releasing swarms of insects and snakes, even using Crystal Release to imitate Susanoo, scaring Ōnoki into retreating his entire army.
He never imagined that today, Mifune would use that exact incident as ammo against Ōnoki.
Sure enough, the moment Mifune finished speaking, Ōnoki's face turned ugly.
"Hmph! The Land of Earth may have been attacked, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was Akatsukigakure."
"Judging by the situation back then and the strength Akatsukigakure has shown now, it's far more likely it wasn't them."
Well, who would've thought the old man would counter like that? He wasn't wrong—Akatsukigakure didn't have anyone capable of controlling insects or snakes.
Old foxes really were sharp.
"Regardless, Akatsukigakure has now become a severe threat to the ninja world's safety. Lord Tsuchikage, this isn't something you can ignore."
"I, Mifune of the Land of Iron, agree with the Mizukage. The major ninja villages have already united to begin a joint purge of Akatsukigakure."
Mifune's stance carried weight. As a neutral nation, the samurai almost never intervened in shinobi conflicts unless absolutely necessary.
Their last intervention had been during the Second Shinobi World War against Hanzō of the Salamander.
For them to speak out first this time showed just how seriously Mifune viewed the danger.
"Sunagakure supports this operation as well."
"I refuse to let them take Shukaku!"
Rasa stated his position with equal resolve. The One-Tail Shukaku was sealed in his son. If Shukaku were taken, his son would die.
That was unacceptable.
As more and more villages voiced support, the Fourth Raikage's growing satisfaction was obvious.
"Hokage, you're the only one who hasn't spoken."
"You should know Konohagakure has suffered the most attacks, and the most severe."
Indeed, Minato Namikaze was the only Kage who hadn't voiced his stance. Seeing this, the Raikage pressed him.
Once the Hokage agreed, the matter would be decided.
Minato didn't answer immediately. Instead, he swept his gaze across all the Kage and village heads before speaking:
"Regarding Akatsukigakure, Konohagakure agrees to initiate a purge."
"However, there is one issue. Everyone—we are exposed, and Akatsukigakure is hidden."
"We have not even discovered their whereabouts. How do we launch an assault against an enemy we cannot find?"
His question exploded like thunder in the room.
Find their location… how could they attack without knowing that?
"Originally, Akatsukigakure's base was in the Land of Water. That was why our Mist Village suffered."
"But after several major battles, they abandoned that base and fled, taking our Three-Tails and Six-Tails with them."
"As of now, we have no idea where they are. I've even dispatched search units, but we found nothing."
Terumi's explanation plunged the room into silence.
Akatsukigakure wasn't like the villages; they had no fixed headquarters. Hunting down such a mobile organization was indeed far more difficult.
"That's why, before launching a full-scale extermination, I propose that we unite and thoroughly search all territories under our control."
"We must locate Akatsukigakure as soon as possible."
Minato's proposal earned universal agreement. Only after finding the enemy could they strike.
"Hmph. Launching a war without even knowing where the opponent is?"
"That's a massive burden on our villages."
"And if we can't locate them in a day, do we just keep searching forever?"
Once again, all eyes turned to Ōnoki. The old man showed no concern about standing alone in opposition—he actually looked proud of it.
"Boom!"
"Hmph, Ōnoki, I think Akatsukigakure is hiding in your Land of Earth."
"Otherwise why would Iwagakure—despite being attacked—refuse multiple times to take action against them?"
Someone had finally snapped. The Fourth Raikage slammed his fist into the table, blasting a crater straight through it.
His temper was the worst among them—he earned the title "barbarian" fair and square.
"Watch your temper, brat. This is the Five Kage Summit. You represent Kumogakure."
"Or are you saying everyone from Kumogakure is a barbarian?"
Ōnoki shot right back, unafraid.
The two glared at each other, neither willing to back down.
Kazuyama nearly burst out laughing but forced himself to hold it in. At the same time, he began considering how to locate Akatsukigakure.
Soon, he had an idea.
He placed a kunai on the ground—and vanished in an instant with Flying Thunder God.
"Kazuyama-sensei… did he just fly off?"
"Yes, you saw right. He used Flying Thunder God and left one of his marked kunai behind."
The Flying Thunder God Squad watched in disbelief, too stunned to react.
As for where Kazuyama went? Simple—he went home.
He returned straight to Konohagakure.
Activating Sage Mode, he began scanning the village until he quickly found the person he needed.
He sprinted straight into the Konoha Intelligence Department's Analysis Division and grabbed a man with a yellow-haired headband.
The Konoha Analysis Division Captain and current clan head of the Yamanaka Clan—Inoichi Yamanaka.
"Who—?"
"Kazuyama? Shouldn't you be at the Five Kage Summit?"
Inoichi stared, bewildered. Why was Kazuyama back in Konoha? And why had he come for him?
"Inoichi, let me ask you something. If I bring you two sensory ninja, could the combined sensory technique you deploy cover most of the ninja world?"
"Hm? A large-scale sensory technique? Theoretically, yes—but it would require many supporting personnel."
Inoichi answered honestly. Sensory ninjutsu had advanced a lot in recent years. Large-scale combined sensory techniques had been developed, but Konohagakure's sensory unit was limited, and even among the Yamanaka Clan, only a few could use such techniques.
"No problem. You're coming with me."
"What? Where?"
"To the Five Kage Summit, of course! Let's go!"
Before Inoichi could react, Kazuyama had already swept him into a Flying Thunder God teleport.
His vision blurred, shifted, and straightened—revealing the summit hall.
Powerful chakra signatures pressed in from every direction.
"This is the Land of Iron… the venue for the Five Kage Summit?"
"That's right. Wait here. I'll need you in a moment."
Kazuyama left those words behind, leapt into the air, and dropped straight into the center of the conference hall.
"Everyone, everyone, calm down. We now have a solution."
"Would you like to hear it?"
