Guy instantly lit up like a Christmas tree powered by nuclear chakra.
"OHHHHH!" he gasped. "A fortune-telling session!! YES!! YES, OF COURSE!! THIS IS ALSO A GREAT TEST OF YOUTH!!"
Kakashi: This man is too easy.
Obito watched Guy transform from "Green Beast of Konoha about to spar" to "Good boy sitting for treats" in real-time.
Thank god he's gullible, Obito thought with deep relief.
Guy leaned forward, elbows on the table, hands clasped together dramatically.
"K-Kakashi! Kakashi! What should we ask first!? Our rivalry!? Our fates as eternal comrades!?"
Kakashi slid his book back open.
"You ask your own questions," he said. "I'm just here because you dragged me."
"…Wake me up when you're done," he muttered, flipping a page.
Guy nodded furiously, already vibrating with excitement.
Obito placed both hands calmly on the Dragon Ball, letting it glow softly while keeping a perfectly serene Goku face.
"Alright…" he said in a calm voice.
"Speak your question."
Guy inhaled so sharply the room's air pressure dropped.
Then...
With the intensity of a man praying for world peace, he asked:
"MR. GOKU!! WILL I… SURPASS KAKASHI ONE DAY!!???"
Kakashi: "…"
Obito felt speechless inside. 'Lmao oh this is gonna be good.'
Outwardly, he nodded solemnly.
"Very well… let us see…"
He closed his eyes.
Let the Dragon Ball glow.
Let the tension build.
Guy clenched his fists.
Kakashi turned a page.
And then—
Obito opened his eyes with dramatic, divine clarity.
"I have seen it."
Guy's eyes widened in anticipation.
Kakashi raised an eyebrow, already wondering what kind of nonsense this guy would spout next. He still didn't believe a word of this bullshit.
Obito pointed directly at Guy.
"In the future… you will…"
Guy leaned in, eyes widened as if hearing through his eyes.
Obito lowered his voice to a deep, prophetic rumble.
"…surpass Kakashi…"
Guy gasped so loudly Kakashi flinched.
"…in youthful spirit."
Guy instantly burst into tears.
Kakashi: "…"
Obito: Easy bait.
Guy slammed his palms together in gratitude.
"THANK YOU, MR. GOKU!!! I SHALL CONTINUE STRIVING WITH BURNING PASSION!!!"
Then Might Guy suddenly blushed and flashed his sparkling white teeth, and Obito nearly gagged. That look was criminally unsuited for him.
This was pure cringe.
"Now Goku Sensei, can you… tell me about my more youthful future?" he said with a thumbs up, stars practically bursting behind him.
Obito knew exactly what he was referring to, and it honestly caught him off guard.
He never thought Guy would be the type to worry about having someone in the future.
Well, reality is reality. You can't expect it to work like the anime, Obito thought inwardly.
Then he nodded, placing both hands dramatically on the glowing Dragon Ball.
"Very well… Might Guy… let us see your destiny."
The room dimmed.
The stars inside the sphere shimmered.
The air felt tense...
—or maybe that was Kakashi's growing irritation.
Obito closed his eyes and began channeling his bullshit with the seriousness of a sage performing divine rituals.
"The cosmic pathways are aligning… The spiritual muscle fibers are resonating… The chakra gates of destiny are opening…"
Guy gasped.
Kakashi's expression flattened into a dead-fish look. "What a transparent scam."
Obito leaned closer.
"…I see it."
Guy held his breath.
Obito continued in a low, dramatic voice:
"Might Guy… in the distant future… you will indeed find someone… very close to you."
Guy's eyes widened.
Kakashi raised a brow. This wasn't something he expected. He thought this guy would say something mysterious so he could get away with fooling them.
Obito's tone deepened even further:
"She is… waiting for you."
Guy's heart thumped loudly.
Kakashi's eye narrowed.
Obito pressed harder on the Dragon Ball, letting it glow brighter and flicker like the universe was trying to reject what was about to be spoken.
"I see… a room. No… a bedroom."
Guy's face turned red with excitement.
Kakashi squinted slightly, his attention no longer on his hentai book.
Obito spoke slowly:
"There is… a figure."
Guy leaned forward.
Kakashi turned his head toward him, his expression mildly suspicious.
"A figure with… white hair."
Kakashi froze.
Guy blinked.
Obito continued mercilessly:
"And… a mask."
Kakashi's book fell out of his hand and his entire being went stiff.
Guy snapped his head toward Kakashi with a confused stare.
"Wait—Kakashi…? Why do you look so shocked?"
Then he turned to Obito and asked, "…Mr. Goku… are you saying… I…"
Kakashi's face darkened like a looming storm as he said in a deep tone,
"Don't say it."
Obito smiled like a villain who had just thrown a match into a gas tank.
"Yes, Might Guy…
Your future holds… a very close encounter with someone… who looks exactly like Kakashi."
"..."
Kakashi's hand twitched toward his kunai pouch. At this point, he was convinced this fortune-teller was looking for trouble.
Everything about the scene felt extra suspicious—especially this so-called Mr. Goku.
"At first I thought you were just a fraud running some scam, but now I see there might be a deeper problem. You need to explain your identity and why you appeared in this village."
Kakashi moved in closer. This guy was acting way too suspicious, he thought—and no, it wasn't because of the fortune-telling.
Guy leapt forward, grabbing him in a tight wrestling hold.
"WAIT, KAKASHI! Don't let your embarrassment drive you to VIOLENCE!"
"I AM NOT EMBARRASSED—!"
Guy ignored him completely.
"KAKASHI, ACCEPT IT!! OUR BOND IS TOO STRONG FOR DESTINY TO IGNORE!!"
"Let go of me, Guy— that Goku is definitely onto something, he must be—!"
Guy wrapped his arms and legs around Kakashi like a desperate octopus.
Guy dragged Kakashi toward the exit while Kakashi struggled like a trapped cat being dragged to a bath.
"Kakashi!! DO NOT RESIST THE FLAMES OF OUR FRIENDSHIP!!" Guy shouted as he pulled him through the door.
"GUY— I SWEAR I WILL— LET GO OF MY LEG—!!"
The bell chimed violently—
Ding-ding-DING—
And just like that…
They were gone.
Obito leaned back in his chair.
His disguise flickered slightly from the strain of holding in his laughter.
"…This world… is such a beautiful place."
Of course Obito had just played a prank on them—he hadn't done any real divination.
He wasn't about to waste his energy on those two. And besides, predicting strong people took way more effort than predicting normal villagers.
Then he glanced around and decided it was time to pack up and focus on the serious matters at hand.
