Players, Please Board the Train-Chapter 263: The Illusion of Characteristics

Chapter 263

"Cough cough!" The clown feigned a cough and said, "Next up is the prize quiz segment."
"If you answer correctly, each visitor with the same ticket will receive a pink little hat in addition to a carefully prepared gift from the amusement park."
"But if you answer wrong, you must accept the amusement park's penalty game."
"What penalty game?" Yan Jiayu immediately asked, "Dressing up as a clown to scare children?"
The clown rolled his eyes, blew up two balloons in quick succession and popped them before saying, "So are you willing to answer questions or not?"
"No problem." Yan Jiayu clenched her fist, "When it comes to quick responses, I've never lost since I was little."
The clown gave a strange laugh, then waved both hands. The large mirror glowed faintly while all the surrounding floating mirror fragments lit up. Many scenes flashed across the mirror fragments, each one taken from after they entered this Mirror Tent camp.
After a few seconds, three of the mirror fragments flew in front of the large mirror, transforming into three glowing shiny pieces.
"These are your questions. You can choose any one of them to answer."
Yan Jiayu looked back at Xu Huo, "Will you do it?"
Xu Huo gestured for her to go ahead. Yan Jiayu rolled up her sleeves and grabbed the middle one. Then a balloon squeezed out from the mirror, bursting to reveal a streamer forming written text that floated down. The question on it was:
"What was the little rabbit with serial number five in front of the Mirror Tent selling, and how many did it sell today?"
Yan Jiayu stared at the question for two seconds, then put down her sleeves and decisively looked back at Xu Huo, "I don't know, do you?"
"Bubble machines and kites, none sold." Xu Huo easily provided the answer.
The streamer transformed into celebratory fireworks that burst open, sprinkling over both their heads. The small mirror disappeared accordingly, and the clown returned in front of the large mirror, reluctantly taking out the quiz prizes: two differently shaped pink little hats and a plush hair clip.
Yan Jiayu took them and handed one to Xu Huo, then added, "The hair clip is an illumination item."
Xu Huo helped clip it onto her hat, then turned to ask the clown, "If we answered wrong, would we have to return to the amusement park entrance to buy tickets again?"
"How could the Mirror Tent be so cruel to children!" The clown seemed somewhat displeased, waving his hand to signal them to leave while muttering, "I said the questions should have been more difficult..."
The large mirror disappeared, and the tent returned to darkness. A Plush Bear came over to lead them out, chattering, "Heading west from here is the Plush Bear Building for the hopscotch game, but the plush bear sleeps after 4 PM. If you wake it during sleep time, it will be very unhappy, so you better hurry."
The two walked out of the tent. The sky outside was somewhat dim. The Plush Bear looked up and said, "It's going to rain," then pulled down the door curtain.
Subsequently, all the plush animals outside the tent burst into celebratory fireworks one by one, disappearing from the camp in sequence. Even the shops, tents, signs, etc. were lifted off the ground by suddenly appearing balloons.
"The camp is moving." Yan Jiayu said, "We should hurry and leave too."
Xu Huo nodded. This Mirror Tent camp was originally deviating from the tourist route. After leaving here, they still needed to return to the original path to reach the Plush Bear Building. Since the plush gave the prompt, it would be best to complete this game point's game before 4 PM.
Taking advantage of the visual interference, the two left the camp at maximum speed. However, they didn't head directly toward the Plush Bear Building, but intentionally went in the opposite direction.
"Follow them." Several players in the same camp exchanged glances and dispersed to trail behind them.
Tang Xiao, who was trying to recruit a new player, saw this and hesitated for a moment before also choosing to follow.
Xu Huo and Yan Jiayu moved at a decent pace, running for over ten minutes before slowing down in an area with complex jungle terrain. Xu Huo maintained the original direction unchanged, while Yan Jiayu deviated from the path and disappeared into the dense, tall plant stems and leaves.
The players following behind, excluding Tang Xiao, totaled four. In the blink of an eye, they noticed Yan Jiayu had disappeared. The tattooed man leading them immediately stopped on a tree, vigilantly observing the surroundings. The next second, he leaped backward off the tree while throwing out a spherical object!
Yan Jiayu smashed the flying ball with one strike of her stone staff. Colorful bubbles flew out from inside, all rushing around her in one breath and continuously expanding!
"Capture!" The tattooed man who jumped down from the tree shouted back. Those bubbles clamped onto Yan Jiayu from all directions, making her entire body float in mid-air like a balloon.
Although she was trapped, the tattooed man cautiously retreated, increasing the distance.
Simultaneously, another player holding a rope appeared behind Yan Jiayu. Lifting the rope end, the rope automatically flew toward the person in mid-air.
"Success!" The flying rope player showed joy, but at that moment a thin light intercepted, directly cutting the rope in half!
"Can you get out?" Kicking away another intercepting player, Xu Huo used sword energy to force back the tattooed man before quickly returning to Yan Jiayu's side.
"No problem!" Yan Jiayu tore open the bubbles with her bare hands, swung her stone staff, and aimed for the flying rope player's neck.
The flying rope player didn't have time to regret the loss of his item. Giving the tattooed man a meaningful glance, the two retreated while each throwing out a flying ball!
However, this time before they could burst open, Xu Huo cut the flying balls apart with one sword strike each. Yan Jiayu, who had avoided his slashing trajectory in advance, jumped up when the flying balls shattered to grab vines hanging from a branch, leaping in front of the flying rope player and striking the other's shoulder with her staff!
A clear bone cracking sound rang out. The flying rope player flew out rolling, tumbled twice in the grass, then quickly disappeared into the trees!
Such efficient movement made Xu Huo and Yan Jiayu exchange glances, simultaneously realizing one thing: this player wasn't carrying a small hat.
The game rule was not to damage hats. Although hats had protective functions, once fighting started, both sides risked breaking hats. The flying rope player moved without hesitation, clearly having no small hat placed on his back or front.
"Then no need to hold back." Xu Huo turned to look at the tattooed man.
The tattooed man glanced toward where Yan Jiayu had chased after, then returned his gaze to Xu Huo before him. The two confronted each other for two seconds before he turned and ran behind a tree, shouting toward a certain direction in the forest, "Take action!"
As his words fell, a thin line flew out from behind a tree, quickly weaving back and forth between trees. In an instant, it crisscrossed dozens of times, spreading open in the forest like a net. The tattooed man stood outside the line's perimeter, moving along the line's direction, sticking the small hats he carried onto the line wherever he passed!
Xu Huo retreated following the flying line, avoiding another player's attack before taking out his Lighter.
"Click! Click! Click!"
The Lighter opened and closed several times. Several dry trees caught fire, revealing the player hiding behind trees controlling the line. Xu Huo directed his piano wire to hook onto the thin line, pulling the person out from behind the tree!
Almost simultaneously, he also appeared under the tree, sweeping his sword horizontally toward the other's throat. But unexpectedly, this sword strike didn't land solidly.
The feeling of cutting through empty air made Xu Huo slightly frown. Looking up, he discovered the person who should have been standing before him had appeared three meters away. The Crimson Sword had only cut through a human-shaped floating phantom!
