Chapter 197: Chapter 197 Aura Farming
Roman was panting, and Reena moved backwards, creating space as she was ready to unleash hell on him.
Reena raised both hands as a large magic circle formed, bigger than the others she had created. This was one of her best spells and most rapid spells, almost impossible to dodge, and since she hadn’t seen Roman use any form of barrier, he wouldn’t be able to escape.

Ten small bolts formed at once, hovering in the air in front of her like tiny purple stars, but that wasn’t all as the large spell circle would summon more bolts until Reena stopped or her Mana runs out.
The girls watching were focused, Ava, Aurelia, Reina, Joanna, and the rest sat straight up at the battle. So far, it was one-sided with Reena attacking and Roman dodging, but this was one spell he could dodge.
"Damn... that’s too much," Reina whispered in her head. She knew Roman couldn’t afford to lose, but he wasn’t putting up much of a fight; she had thought he would put up more of a fight.
Roman stared at the bolts. There was no way he could dodge all of them, but he didn’t need to; he just needed to dodge just two of the bolts, and everything would work out.
"I’m sorry but I can’t afford to lose," Reena spoke as the first bolts struck.
Roman felt the pressure hit him like a giant wave but he had a plan, a plan that required him to act quickly.
He leaped forward, then sideways, rolling across the arena again as the bolts hit the ground behind him one by one.
*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!*
Dust covered the arena where the bolt hit, and that was exactly what Roman wanted as he jumped into the area covered by dust, and a smirk formed on Reena’s face.
She raised her hands up, and 30 bolts formed and fired at once, covering the area but Roman wasn’t trying to dodge.
As soon as Roman was under the dust cover he stretched his hands forward.

This was the spell he wanted to cast since the beginning, the protection would be another layer, just like the barrier placed by the mages, meaning he would have double the resistance Reena did.
Even though he couldn’t see anything, he knew Reena was going to blast him inside the dust, so he cast another spell.

This time, he felt the effects as the blood required to cast this spell was a bit higher than his [Blood Bind], but the spell formed a shield of hardened blood in front and on top of him.
Soon hell was unleashed upon him as Reena fired blast after blast into the dust cloud.

Each hit slammed into Roman’s shield, cracking it little by little. His [Blood Barrier] shook like it was about to shatter, and if it did, it was game over. He hadn’t really taken hits before using the [Protection Enchantment], so he had no idea how durable it was.
Roman grit his teeth and poured more Mana into his [Blood Barrier], holding them together as the hits kept coming. If he slipped for even a second, everything would break apart.
Reena didn’t stop. She kept firing, pushing herself, pouring more Mana into each bolt until her arms began to tremble. The arena shook from her magic, and even the crowd held its breath.
They all knew Roman was done, there was no way he was standing after all that.
Finally, the last bolt fired.
Reena dropped her hands, panting hard, sweat rolling down her forehead, she didn’t exhaust all her Mana but she was running low on stamina.
The mages outside who cast the barrier spell were surprised; they thought the barrier would have been depleted after all those strikes, but for some reason, it was holding firm.
The dust slowly began to settle, and she expected to see Roman lying face down on the ground, maybe even unconscious.
But then...
A shape appeared in the fading dust.
Roman sat on the ground, legs crossed, one hand supporting his cheek like he was relaxing. A calm smile on his face, like he’d been waiting for her to finish.
Reena’s eyes widened as her jaw dropped. That was exactly why he chose this pose, even though his Mana was almost depleted; he wanted to seem unaffected by her display.
The girls watching and the crowd froze.
Ava’s eyes went wide. Aurelia’s jaw dropped as she stood up, Reina blinked in surprise.
"No way..." Clara whispered.
None of them understood how he was still standing much less smiling. Roman dusted off his shoulder casually as he stood up.
"Well," he said softly, grinning, "that was fun."
Reena stared at him like she’d seen a ghost, not because she couldn’t continue the fight, but because she thought she had won, only to see that she hadn’t done any damage to him.
Psychologically, it messed with her head.
Then, to top it all, Roman placed both of his hands together and pointed them towards Reena, the same way he cast the spell last night.
Immediately, Reena saw him, and she jumped backwards, creating a massive distance between them. She was almost touching the barrier just to create space for her to dodge the spell, just in case her barrier failed.
Immediately this happened Roman knew he had won, he just needed to see this through quickly with the little Mana he had left.
He quickly switched pointing his hands forward as a spell circle appeared.

Roman cast spell after spell in quick succession. It was too perfect. The first [Flame Arrow] was to get Reena to dodge, and she did just that as she moved out of the way.
With his [Self Mirage] and [Conceal], he was able to replicate what he did with Victoria, only this time the crowd could clearly see his spell being fired, but Reena could not.
Reena took a deep breath after dodging his first spell. She calmed herself down and focused, as she was still going to try to win, when something suddenly made contact with her stomach. Immediately, she felt burning pain and was pushed towards the barrier.
Reena held her stomach as she had no idea what had happened, but before she could register, his next spell hit, and unlike his [Flame Arrow], it exploded upon impact.
