Supremely Talented Tyrant-Chapter 1521 - 1720: Assault!

Chapter 1521

After telling Feng Shiyuan about the address, Hao Jian slowly returned home by himself, then lay on the bed, quietly reminiscing about the past.
He reminisced about the time he spent with Moon, how happy and joyful those days were.
But why did Moon disappear, and why has she become so amnesiac now? This must be thoroughly investigated.
Hao Jian tossed and turned on the bed, sitting up and lying down, sometimes looking out the window, sometimes getting up to walk around before lying back down again.
Everything was spent in anxiety and unease.
Finally, someone knocked on the door, and Hao Jian quickly went to open it. It was undoubtedly Feng Shiyuan who had arrived.
"I've got all the information," Feng Shiyuan said immediately upon entering.
Walking in following the address Hao Jian provided, he was quite surprised. With so many participants in the Ancient Martial Artist Tournament, and the organizers looking to profit, accommodations and dining were arranged according to status and level.
But Hao Jian's accommodation was clearly of the highest level.
This left him astonished. He initially thought Hao Jian was merely wealthy, a big client, but upon arriving, it became evident that he was a major patron.
Hao Jian said, "Speak quickly!"
Not daring to waste time, Feng Shiyuan quickly shared everything he'd just learned with Hao Jian.
Feng Shiyuan said, "You probably have already heard most of the rumors regarding Ye Yiyun, so I won't repeat them. As for Moon, whom you asked me to inquire about, I found something quite strange."
"From what I gathered, Moon is not from Tianwang Fort like Ye Yiyun. However, oddly enough, Tianwang Fort claims that Moon is the daughter of one of their elders. These two conflicting messages together seem very peculiar. Why would Tianwang Fort declare someone from outside to be one of their own? " Feng Shiyuan's eyes revealed a hint of puzzlement.
After a pause, he continued, "This is the strange part. Ye Yiyun is Moon's senior, but oddly, this senior always sticks with his junior, regardless of where they go, inseparable. It's less protective and more surveillant!"
Upon hearing this, Hao Jian suddenly understood a lot.
Feng Shiyuan continued, "What's weirder is that I speculate that Moon's origin must be extraordinary. Although she is said to be Ye Yiyun's junior sister, sources claim that Moon is infinitely stronger than Ye Yiyun, and Ye Yiyun has been following Moon, bringing her to this Ancient Martial Artist Tournament, seemingly as per Tianwang Fort's internal arrangement. As for their specific goal, that's unknown."
Having said this, Feng Shiyuan naturally stopped, allowing Hao Jian to digest the news he'd brought.
It seemed that something must have happened to Moon after her disappearance; otherwise, she wouldn't have amnesia. As for why she ended up in Tianwang Fort's hands, only when Moon regains her memory can that be known.
However, since Tianwang Fort deceives Moon, saying she is one of their elders' daughter, they must have an agenda, and Ye Yiyun is surely aware of this scheme or secret, or else Tianwang Fort wouldn't have assigned him to constantly follow Moon.
Most importantly, Ye Yiyun certainly harbors ill intentions toward Moon. From that day's expression when he looked at Moon, it was clear. Sadly, amnesiac Moon still foolishly believes Ye Yiyun is acting out of goodwill.
"Oh right!" Feng Shiyuan suddenly said.
"I just remembered something. I learned that the reason they brought Ye Yiyun and Moon here might not be simple. They've also registered Moon for the tournament, which means Tianwang Fort aims not just to have Ye Yiyun compete but also to showcase the much superior Moon. They likely intend to gain fame in the Ancient Martial Artist Tournament this time. This must be their plan!" Feng Shiyuan said.
Upon hearing Feng Shiyuan's information and analysis, a flash of killing intent flickered in Hao Jian's eyes.
No matter how Moon ended up in their hands, just their using Moon to heighten Tianwang Fort's prestige angered Hao Jian.
To actually make Moon a tool, it's preposterous.
Tianwang Fort never left a good impression on Hao Jian, and this time, if he didn't do something about them, he wouldn't be Hao Jian.
Then Feng Shiyuan talked some more, mostly trivial news, but compiled together, they somehow formed a useful piece of information.
After finishing, Feng Shiyuan shared some more of his analysis, and after Hao Jian gave him some money, he left.
Having learned everything, Hao Jian now had a plan in mind, deciding to let Ye Yiyun and Tianwang Fort stay complacent for two days before making them realize what it means to be trifled with.
Once Feng Shiyuan left, quiet returned to the room. Hao Jian closed his eyes, contemplating.
If gratitude and revenge are part of who Hao Jian is, then so is retaliation against grievances. His approach has always been that way.
Night quickly fell; Hao Jian hurried outside for dinner and gathered some information before returning to rest after a bath.
It was deep into the night. The first day of the Ancient Martial Artist Tournament concluded, leaving some with joy and others with disappointment. The joyful ones had performed excellently, whereas those disappointed had faced defeat, lacking the skill to showcase properly.
Quickly, Hao Jian lay peacefully asleep, and outside, the night was serene, with only the gentle whisper of the wind.
Time ticked by, and the night progressed quickly.
But suddenly, Hao Jian opened his eyes abruptly.
There was movement outside, though the sound was quiet, Hao Jian heard it clearly.
Someone was lurking outside, approaching his residence. Judging from the sound and footsteps, it seemed like more than one person; to be precise, two people. They were rapidly approaching the residence, swift in action, unnoticed by normal people.
Hao Jian's expression changed, then he returned to calmness, pretending to be asleep.
It's really quite the gift for someone to send people to assassinate me in the middle of the night.
Hao Jian continued pretending to sleep, and the three outside got closer and closer.
The three were dressed in dark clothing, concealing themselves completely so no one could recognize their identity.
It seemed these three often worked together, likely a fixed group.
One acted as a lookout nearby, while the other two stealthily opened the window and climbed inside.
Upon entering, they saw Hao Jian lying in bed. They slowly drew the daggers from their waist and approached Hao Jian.
Closer.
Even closer.
Right before him.
The one in front raised his dagger, ready to stab Hao Jian, but just as he was about to bring the dagger down, his hand was suddenly caught.
He struggled immediately, but before he could speak, Hao Jian seized the dagger and plunged it into his throat.
Blood instantly flowed along the dagger, and then he fell to the ground.
The other stood there, watching, but before he could react, Hao Jian had already grabbed his dagger. He tried to resist and regain his dagger, but Hao Jian slashed, cutting his hand.
"Who sent you?" Hao Jian asked.
The man sneered, saying, "You're not worthy to ask!"
At this moment, the person who was supposed to be on lookout heard the commotion inside. Abandoning his post, he charged in, immediately spotting his fallen companion. His eyes turned red, and he drew the dagger from his waist and lunged at Hao Jian.
If they weren't worried about gunshots attracting attention, they would have used guns to deal with Hao Jian.
After all, in this age, guns are the most effective.
But daggers in their hands can still be a lethal weapon, killing someone is just as easy.
Two against one gives them the advantage by any measure.
Yet, at this moment, Hao Jian calmly said, "I'll ask again, who sent you?"
The person who sneered before continued sneering, in his eyes, Hao Jian was as good as dead.
Since they had been paid to assassinate Hao Jian, they must complete the task. That's the rule.
They suddenly attacked Hao Jian, one heading left, the other right, attacking from both sides. Such a strong attack usually leaves people unable to react, dying beneath their daggers.
This technique had proven successful repeatedly, thus they were confident.
Hao Jian merely smiled. Since they ignored him and refused to speak, he wouldn't spare them.
Hao Jian took a step back, dodging their attack. They smiled at each other, thinking Hao Jian feared them, causing him to panic and run frantically.
But they were wrong.
The next second, Hao Jian attacked, and suddenly the daggers that were originally in their hands were now in Hao Jian's hands. Before they could react, sharp pain erupted in their chest.
Looking down, they saw their chest had been sliced open, the cuts deep to the bone, and blood immediately oozed out.
But this was just the beginning. Before the man could scream in pain, Hao Jian slashed his throat.
Like the one before, he died silently, unable to scream in pain.
The other, witnessing Hao Jian's power, immediately turned to flee, but before he could take another step, a dagger pressed against his back.
