Supremely Talented Tyrant-Chapter 1586 - 1786: The Annihilation of the Three Gods

Chapter 1586

Sometimes, losing one's life is just as simple as flipping a switch. Originally, Spear God had victory in hand, with a clear advantage, as he employed long-range attacks coupled with the Ice Phoenix Spear, specifically made to kill Hao Jian. Everything seemed to be going his way.
Yet things were always under Hao Jian's control. Spear God's first shot was actually a mistake, as it was a decoy set by Hao Jian to lure him. When the second shot came, who would have thought Spear God would actually dare to go down together with him? Top measures meet countermeasures. Since the Spear God used the Ice Phoenix Spear, the method of shedding the shell was still available from last time.
In that instant, Hao Jian had this thought, quickly dodged, and then used a substitute to escape. He prided himself on his speed, and he saw these feats as something he could naturally accomplish with ease.
Immediately afterward, while Spear God was still basking in his assumed triumph, in reality, Hao Jian had already gotten behind him. He was laughing, as the longsword in Hao Jian's hand had already pierced through his body.
If the Ice Phoenix Spear is used, a single shot already drains a significant amount of energy. By the time Spear God fired the second shot with a determination for mutual destruction, it had consumed almost all of his energy. At that moment, he was only able to stand by sheer will, forcing himself to carry on smiling.
When that sword pierced his body, in truth, he was done for. As the sword went through, blood spilled from the corner of his mouth, and at that moment, he was already dead.
Spear God fell to the ground, not even managing to close his eyes, or rather, without the strength to close them before collapsing.
Hao Jian withdrew his sword, already stained with Spear God's blood. Without so much as a glance at Spear God, he turned and walked away.
At that moment, the thunder outside suddenly roared again, deafening, as if grieving the death of such a significant figure. As one of the five greats, Spear God was indeed a storm-bringer in the dark world. However, he was single-mindedly obsessed with killing Hao Jian. So despite forming his own influence, the Spear God Alliance, compared to the likes of Bandit God and Murder God, who spent more effort amassing their power, his faction naturally wasn't as vast.
Thus, on this day, alongside the already slain God of Mercenary Kazan from the Mercenary Alliance, the remaining three of the four alliances' three greats—Murder God of the Murder God Alliance, Bandit God of the Bandit Alliance, and the Spear God of the Spear God Alliance—all fell at Hao Jian's hand.
In the span of a day, the pivotal leaders of the three core highest positions of the Four Great Alliances within the four deadly zones all died at the hands of Hao Jian, the God of Death.
In this moment, Hao Jian felt at ease. Previously while residing in Huaxia, these Four Great Alliances consistently harassed and created trouble. This decisive act to eliminate this long-standing threat was a wise decision. Now that this nuisance was entirely uprooted, life ahead would be much simpler and happier.
Thinking about it, Hao Jian began to look forward to his upcoming life.
At that moment, from an unnoticed corner, a door creaked slightly open, and a head popped out, silently observing everything inside.
If Bandit God and Spear God were still alive, they would undoubtedly recognize him instantly—it was the very driver who just picked them up.
After parking the car in the underground lot, the driver found the whole scenario increasingly strange. If it were merely the standard task of transporting these two major figures, Lord Murder God wouldn't have been so anxious in his tone. And immediately upon returning, he noticed something was amiss—there was no one at the checkpoint, and when he arrived, not a single soul was present.
Afterward, he sporadically heard sounds of a fight above, prompting him to climb up. But the intense combat sounds made him afraid of being caught in the crossfire, so he hid away until everything quieted down, then cautiously peeked out to take in what transpired outside.
One look and he was instantly petrified. Glancing over, he immediately saw Bandit God collapsed into a frozen lump on the ground, followed by the sight of Spear God also lying down, with the ground a veritable river of blood.
Who these significant figures were was all too clear to him. Bandit God and Spear God, two of the five greats, were never personnel he could presume to estimate. Rumor had it that in the past, both Bandit God and Spear God could take on the world single-handedly. Otherwise, they wouldn't be among the five greats.
Yet, here and now, with two of the five greats—Spear God and Bandit God—lying dead before him, he was filled with shock, so much so that he could hardly find words.
Next, he scanned his surroundings, suddenly seeing something unbelievable. Rubbing his eyes hard and looking again, he nearly stumbled backward in astonishment. After catching his breath, he finally accepted the reality.
In his eyes, Lord Murder God was sitting on the ground, head lowered, covered in blood, evidently lifeless just like Bandit God and Spear God.
At once, the driver's mind struggled to accept this reality. He knew perfectly well how formidable these three were—significant authorities in the dark world, founding powerhouse forces and dominating regions, and chiefly, being recognized under the title of the five greats.
But now, seeing three out of the five greats before him, not just as living beings, but as the deceased, he found it hard to accept. It felt akin to how one might react if told that the most revered figures in a commercial empire suddenly died—it's a hard pill to swallow.
It seemed all a dream, with three of the dignified five greats dying right before his eyes. If one of them suddenly died, it might be understandable—an era sees its figures rise and fall over a century, as was the case with the previous God of Mercenary, who was succeeded by Kazan.
But the newly positioned God of Mercenary hadn't even warmed his seat before his transgressions against one of the five greats, the God of Death, led to his demise, ultimately resulting in the downfall of the entire Mercenary Alliance. It was reckless folly with drastic retribution, which ended up involving the entire alliance.
One dead might be conceivable, but three of the five greats, abruptly struck down together? How could it be? This was simply an impossible occurrence. Any single one of the three greats possessed power beyond measure; if they joined forces, who could possibly oppose them?
Thus, upon seeing Murder God also dead, then realizing the three greats had died together, the driver was gripped with an overwhelming sense of dread.
Who, exactly, possessed such terrifying strength that they could face or, more shockingly, slay Murder God, Bandit God, and Spear God all at once? Confusion filled his heart.
Suddenly, he turned his attention to Xie Qianqian, Jiang Long, and others, not placing much importance on them, then glanced over at Hao Jian with a sword. In that instant, the driver still in shock stumbled backward, nearly falling, and slowly picked himself up, his legs still weak, barely managing to steady himself.
If others didn't recognize Hao Jian, it'd be understandable, but as Murder God's personal driver, he'd heard the God of Death's name on numerous occasions whenever ferrying the Murder God. Naturally, he'd seen the God of Death from a distance more than once, clearly familiar with his silhouette.
That silhouette was too familiar. As the driver gazed at Hao Jian's back, he recognized it as the God of Death's, then immediately connected it with the fallen figures of Murder God, Bandit God, and Spear God, leading him to a sudden realization. The enmity between the God of Death and the four great alliances had long been common knowledge in the dark realm.
It would be impossible for any others to possess the capability or the might to cause the three deities—Murder God, Bandit God, and Spear God—to suddenly die. The only one who could pull off such a feat would likely be none other than the God of Death.
Upon seeing the God of Death's silhouette, understanding dawned upon the driver, clarity came upon the entire situation—three greats had perished by the God of Death's hand, a plausible and comprehensible outcome.
The next moment, he thought of fleeing this place of turmoil; with Murder God dead, he considered himself a free man now. Staying here one second longer felt an additional fraction of danger, with the three greats all perished here, what safety could a mere small figure like him have amidst potential disaster?
But moving was maybe from sheer panic, the door clamored, drawing all sight and attention of Xie Qianqian and the others there.
The driver looked back, noticing they all turned their sights toward him. With a heart pounding like he'd been caught doing something illicit, he bolted with legs already weakened with fright. As he tried to run and quickly collapsed to the ground, his legs went soft, but looming death overshadowed terror, for what's fear in the face of death? Death vanquished fear, and he desperately pushed his wobbly legs, attempting to run forward.
At this point, Li Xin noticed someone sneaking around then fleeing in haste, effortlessly aimed to pursue with gun in hand.
But just as he set off, Hao Jian stopped him.
Hao Jian said, "Let him go!"
With Hao Jian having spoken, Li Xin had nothing more to say and promptly retreated.
