Chapter 1182: Chapter 1184: Contempt for the Tank
"Are you aware of who you’re speaking with right now?!" Poison Scorpion angrily exclaimed. He had never been treated so poorly in front of other mercenary groups before, not even given a chance to speak, and just told to get lost. Moreover, the other party shouldn’t be stupid; how could they possibly refuse or antagonize the Poison Scorpion Mercenary Group?
Arrogant!
Absolutely arrogant!
The gaunt-faced young man with a ghostly grin spoke with a harsh tone, "I’ll give you three seconds; if you don’t get lost, don’t blame us for being impolite!"
Poison Scorpion was thoroughly enraged, his voice icy, "Alright! I want to see just how ’impolite’ you can be!"
"It seems there’s no need to count to three!"
At that moment, the gaunt-faced young man suddenly attacked, lightning-fast and extremely aggressive, as nimble as a monkey. He swiftly struck Poison Scorpion’s chest more than ten times. If Bruce Lee were alive, he would surely nod in approval; although not at Bruce Lee’s level, it was fast enough.
After being hit more than ten times, Poison Scorpion seemed to lose all signs of life, his heart appeared to stop beating, and the intense and rapid impact almost killed him. Thankfully, when his body collapsed, it struck the ground, shaking loose the air trapped in his chest.
Gasp!
Taking a deep breath, Poison Scorpion’s chest heaving rapidly, he experienced an indescribable brush with death that stunned him beyond belief. Seeing Little Monkey approaching him again, Poison Scorpion hurriedly got up and quickly distanced himself.
"Ghost God Mercenary Corps! Damn it, I’ve remembered you, wait for the Poison Scorpion Mercenary Group’s revenge!" Poison Scorpion’s cries echoed down the empty street.
Lin Fei ignored this, watching them leave as he led his people onward.
They hadn’t gone far when they encountered two people.
Amidst the icy and snowy landscape, Lin Fei led over a hundred people dressed in black cloaks, faces hidden behind ghost masks, standing in the pristine snowscape, while two individuals blocked their path ahead.
"You must be the leader of the Ghost God Mercenary Corps. I am Xue Zhi, hoping to share a drink with the leader of the Ghost God Mercenary Corps. Would you be so kind?" Xue Zhi spoke courteously.
"No time, move aside." Lin Fei replied coldly.
Xue Zhi was taken aback, not expecting the leader of the Ghost God Mercenary Corps to be so unique. He continued to voice his stance, his identity, and his reason for being here because Xue Zhi knew with people like this, directness was necessary.
"I represent the Mercenary World’s second-largest group, the Tank Mercenary Corps, inviting you. The hope is that you will be kind enough to oblige." Xue Zhi spoke, offering all his courtesy, unsure if the other party would accept.
"Get lost." Lin Fei remained indifferent, even though the facing was his brother; he couldn’t show any weakness, especially with Draculas standing beside Xue Zhi.
Upon hearing Lin Fei’s response, both individuals fell silent, surprised by the Ghost God Mercenary Corps leader’s reaction. Originally, like the Poison Scorpion Mercenary Group, they pondered whether the Ghost God Mercenary Corps under Lin Fei was worthy of becoming their ally, unaware that Lin Fei might not accept their alliance proposal.
After all, they often viewed regarding themselves as higher and looking down on the Ghost God Mercenary Corps, but now the Ghost God Mercenary Corps had shown through action how foolish that thinking was!
Rejection, not just a rejection, but a blatant and uncompromising refusal, an open disdain for both the second and third-largest mercenary groups—this was the Ghost God Mercenary Corps!
Such absolute dominance and aggressiveness left even the two large Mercenary World corps helpless, standing in place, unsure of what to do.
But Lin Fei wouldn’t wait for them; he stepped forward, moving toward the distance. As Lin Fei passed by Draculas, Draculas suddenly let out a loud roar, his body like an angry bear, swinging his fist toward Lin Fei’s mask.
Simultaneously, from within the Ghost God Mercenary Corps, a young man agile like a monkey appeared beside Lin Fei, throwing a punch and colliding with Draculas’s fist.
The force from the collision cleared away the wind and snow around them, neither retreating as Lin Fei stood in place, behind Little Monkey, looking at Draculas, "Are you longing for an early death?"
Draculas was astonished; his punch was at full force! Yet before him stood a young man whose size was more than twice his own, blocking Draculas’s strength. It was bewildering, leaving Draculas feeling disbelief!
However, Draculas didn’t notice Little Monkey’s heel pressing on Lin Fei’s foot, preventing him from sliding back, with Lin Fei absorbing the recoil, leading others to see Little Monkey seemingly standing against Draculas.
Draculas withdrew his fist, face full of disbelief, while Xue Zhi promptly stepped forward, "Haha, Ghost God Mercenary Corps truly lives up to their reputation, brimming with talent, exceptional fighters; I’m astounded! Impressive, impressive!"
"If you strike again, I can’t guarantee you’ll remain alive." Lin Fei coldly glanced at Draculas, causing Draculas to feel a chill running down his spine into his head, an experience he’d never felt before.
They watched the Ghost God Mercenary Corps depart, powerless, as Xue Zhi asked, "How are you holding up? Are you alright?"
Draculas shook his head, "Who would’ve thought the Ghost God Mercenary Corps could be so formidable, just one small youth capable of matching me? If the leader made a move, he could definitely challenge my elder brother."
Xue Zhi pictured the massive and imposing De Gu Ming, indeed, if he acted, perhaps only Lin Fei could withstand him.
"What should we do next?" Xue Zhi asked.
"Xue Zhi brother, no need to ask; I only know we must return and tell those foolish people—even if we desired an alliance, the Ghost God Mercenary Corps wouldn’t bother!"
He anticipated seeing the expressions of those snobbish folks upon receiving this news.
Draculas observed the shocked, then contemplative, and finally furious group in the meeting room, suddenly chuckling.
De Gu Ming asked, "Draculas, why are you laughing?"
Draculas replied, "I’m laughing at the Ghost God Mercenary Corps’ strength—they probably never considered borrowing any other power!"
