The Max Level Hero Has Returned!-Chapter 1127

Chapter 1127
“A live stream of me drawing? I don’t think that’s...” Evangeline hesitated to make a decision.
Al Hajat gently smiled as he took her hand. “It’s okay. This uncle here will help you.”
“But you’re not old enough to be called an uncle, though.”

Hm?

“You’re not old, you’re still young.”
He chuckled. “Really? But I am your dad’s friend, you know.”
His words made something stir deep within Evangeline. The man was clearly being considerate for her sake.
“I’m sorry,” Evangeline replied, sounding downcast. “Thank you... really.”
Considering it was a suggestion from someone who’d helped heal her heart that was hurt by the internet, she thought maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to accept it. “But after all the chaos recently, do you really think they’ll see me in a good light?”
“There’s no need to reveal your identity right away. After all, you don’t necessarily have to show your face in order to stream.”
The concept was just drawing on a live stream, so a simple screen capture would be more than sufficient.
“Of course, there’ll always be trolls.”
Even so, unless the viewers were truly malicious, they usually took the side of the streamer.
“Once you feel ready, and when you decide it’s okay to start showing more of yourself, that’s when you reveal yourself. There’s no need to rush or tie yourself down. What do you think?”
Evangeline quietly nodded.
“Antonio.”
A tall and slender man who had been waiting stepped forward and gave a respectful bow.
“Is the renovation on the purchased residence complete?”
“Yes. We secured the site and have set up all the best broadcasting equipment, even beyond what’s trending among top streamers these days.”
“Excellent.” Al Hajat smiled gently.
“Y-You really didn’t have to go that far...” Startled, Evangeline tried to stop him, but he shook his head.
“It’s fine, Eva. This uncle’s got plenty of money. Just think of this as a little bit of my pocket money.”
Even though mana had taken root and the value of oil had dropped accordingly, his wealth hadn’t wavered. In fact, the title of ‘oil prince’ was simply a nickname now; he’d recently acquired a major corporation and was making massive profits in diversified markets.
“I mean, I’m the same person who can just buy amusement parks on a passing whim. You think I can’t afford the equipment for a single person’s stream?”
Evangeline lowered her head in acceptance.

Hmm.
I heard Mr. Davey’s also quite wealthy...”
“With all due respect, his estimated assets likely exceed even your own, sir...” Antonio whispered cautiously.
“Antonio, go stand in the corner and face the wall.”
“Yes, sir!”
Hearing his dramatically stern response, Al Hajat let out a hearty laugh. “Does your dad not buy you many gifts?”
“He said falling into materialism is a path you can’t come back from...”
“Fair point. There’s no way a prince of a nation would let himself be swallowed up and corrupted by money like some fool.”
The more money one had, the better, of course. However, if one let it control them, they were just a nouveau riche waiting to fall apart.
Especially for someone like Davey, who had pretty much everything. Raising a child with the right values in such an environment couldn’t have been easy, but he’d certainly done well.
Evangeline had grown up pretty and kind. Al Hajat felt a strange sense of pride, as if she were his own daughter.
“But even so, holding back too much just makes you into a cheapskate.” Al Hajat stood from his seat. “Shall we go check out the equipment, then?”
At his suggestion, Evangeline nodded.
“Oh? You’re heading out?” Super Ribbon asked with a bright smile, holding a vocabulary book in one hand and playing with a cat from the garden with the other.
“Yes. I’ve got a gift for Evangeline.”
“Have a good time, Eva!” Super Ribbon waved with a grin.
“Okay, Super Ribbon.” Seeing that trusting smile, Evangeline felt a sudden wave of embarrassment.
To hurt a family member just for the sake of pride made her realize once again that family was far too precious.
* * *
“Wow!”
“This used to be a studio,” Al Hajat told Evangeline. “We’re still in the middle of renovations since the timeline was tight, so it’ll still take about a week to finish everything. Fret not, I’ll make sure it has everything you need.”

Wow...

Evangeline took a slow look around and saw pristine white canvases, high-end paints, and colored pencils stacked neatly in a corner. She then spotted a drawing tablet and a sleek, powerful-looking computer on the other side of the room. There was also an impressive-looking microphone, a pair of open-back headphones, and even a fancy camera.
“We didn’t connect the camera since you won’t be using it right away, but if there’s anything you want to try, then just go for it. We’ll have the soundproofing installed tomorrow, so you’ll be able to really get started then.”
Hearing his explanation, Evangeline found herself unconsciously parting her lips in a dazed smile. “
Ummm.

Hmm?

“Aren’t you busy?”
She knew he had a lot of responsibilities, and she simply didn’t want to be a bother. It made her feel guilty that he had rushed all the way to Korea just to comfort her after everything that had happened.
Al Hajat put some thought into the question. “Well... am I busy...? I mean, I wouldn’t say I’m
not
busy.”
Evangeline shook her head. “Then... I think I’m okay now. You don’t need to go so far for me...”
“But it’s not like I can’t spare at least this much time. So don’t worry, alright?” He waved his hand, and Antonio entered with a somewhat reluctant expression and handed her a small box.
“What’s this?” she couldn’t tell what kind of box it was.
“They’re workout clothes, handmade by an Italian master tailor. If all you do is stream, Mr. Davey might get mad at me. You have to exercise regularly.” Al Hajat opened a door on the side of the studio, revealing a space lined with myriad fitness equipment. “How long are you planning to stay?”
“Until the youngest is born.”
She would remain until the baby Perserque was carrying was born. She had no intention of going back before then.
“I see. Do as you please, then.”
“Can I try streaming? Just once?”
“Then shall I be your first viewer?” He gave her a warm smile.
Soon after, Antonio called in some specialists that began quickly setting everything up. Before long, Evangeline had already created a new account and started her stream.
The only thing on her stream was her computer screen, but that was enough for her.
[There. You see this chat, right?]
A message popped up from someone with the odd username SeChoiAh. Evangeline, clearly fascinated, nodded repeatedly.
He smirked. “Let’s see now... I suppose you’re going to grant me as moderator for supporting you?”
“Moderator? How do I...?”
Startled, Evangeline fumbled, and Al Hajat patiently began explaining everything step by step. He’d invested his time heavily in the field, having learned a lot from watching Davey’s past streams.
“There. Now it’s done.” He laughed as he saw the word moderator appear next to his name.
“First viewer, and even the first moderator. Am I moving up in the world or what?”
At his playful comment, Evangeline turned beet red and lowered her head. “D-Don’t tease me...”
“You should show that bashful side to your dad, too.”

Eep!
” She flinched like she’d been hit dead-on.
“It looks like you’re not ready yet. That’s okay, let’s just take it slow. I’ll help you as much as I can.”
“Okay...”
After she responded obediently, Antonio cautiously approached Al Hajat and whispered in his ear while glancing around nervously, “Your Highness... If someone saw this, they might think you’re trying to seduce a child.”
“Antonio, go stand in the corner. Head down, this time.”
“Pardon? Yes, sir!”
Once Antonio dashed out, Al Hajat chuckled and looked over at Evangeline, who was curiously exploring her new surroundings. He then pulled out his smartphone.
She was at the age when pride and independence ran high, it surely wouldn’t be long before she realized how overwhelming and terribly lonely being alone could be.
“Miss Hyun-Ah, this is Al Hajat. You don’t have to worry about Eva.”
- Truly, I don’t even know how to thank you.
“She’s the daughter of a friend I owe more than I could ever repay. Helping her is the least I can do.”
Just then, Evangeline timidly approached. “
Um...

Al Hajat gave her a questioning look, and she, a little embarrassed, spoke up, “I eventually want to be able to draw my dad.”
“I think that’s a wonderful goal.”
“Would you be a practice subject for me?” she asked hesitantly, her pride clearly holding her back.
As she waited for an answer, she pulled a chair over and placed it in front of the canvas.
Al Hajat clapped his hands in delight. Immediately afterward, there was a crash from outside before Antonio came rushing in.
“Antonio, I hear Korean fried chicken is very good.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
“Make it half light and half dark, with extra radish. Please go get some.” As he sat down in the chair, he gave a wide and satisfied grin.
* * *
Al Hajat had been in high spirits, smiling nonstop ever since Evangeline gave him the finished drawing. Yet when he received a message on his phone, his expression subtly stiffened before he quietly stepped away.
Evangeline took a short, nervous breath. He really was too generous! He’d told a friend’s daughter to try streaming and didn’t just give her a piece or two of gear—he went and bought an entire studio space for her.
Sure, with his wealth, it probably wasn’t a difficult decision. Yet from an ordinary person’s point of view, it was nothing short of excessive. Evangeline, who’d grown up hearing Davey preach frugality until the words were practically etched into her brain, couldn’t help but feel the pressure.
“If things go wrong after all this...”
Crunch!! Crack!!
The piece of chicken in her hand quickly disappeared down her throat, bones and all.
“Evangeline, did you eat the bones again?” Super Ribbon said in a scolding voice.
Evangeline flinched. “
Ah!
I didn’t mean to...”
“Eating’s fine, but if you keep that up, you’ll eventually crack a tooth.”
Despite looking completely human, Evangeline was still an ancient dragon. If anyone claimed a dragon broke a tooth eating chicken bones, they’d be laughed out of the room.
“Anyway, are you going to start your stream?”
“Why?”
Super Ribbon hesitated. “Well... I’m just a little worried, that’s all.”
“It’s not like I’m showing a facecam or anything. I’ll just be focusing on the drawing.”
Super Ribbon had voiced concerns but still encouraged her.
After a tense moment, Evangeline started the stream. She confirmed the output screen on her secondary monitor and opened her drawing software.
The viewer count was zero. It wasn’t surprising, as there wouldn’t be people watching right from the start.
Her only follower was Al Hajat, and he was caught up with work. There was no way he could join at that moment.
Crunch! Crack!
Feeling anxious, she once again crunched into a chicken wing with a crunch of its bones and took a deep breath.
She then slowly turned to Super Ribbon. “What should I draw?”

Hmm.
Since it’s a live stream, maybe instead of just drawing whoever’s around, it’d be better to go with what the viewers want?”
Evangeline nodded nervously.
The stream was live, but she had no idea what to draw. But then, a chat popped up.
zz - [Taking requests?]
Both Evangeline and Super Ribbon froze like their brains had stopped working. They turned to each other at the same time, then started silently flailing around.
zz - [Hmm? No mic either? No camera, no mic... super minimalist art stream, huh
.
]
“Ah. N-No! I-I have a mic!” Evangeline yelped, stumbling over her words and nearly biting her tongue. Her face was twisted into a panicked grimace.
zz - [Whoa, that was loud! You scared me. Your mic volume’s way too high.]

Ah!
S-Sorry! How do I...”
zz - [Looks like you’re brand new,
huh?
Okay, on the bottom-left, there’s the settings menu...]
This first viewer, other than Al Hajat, started explaining and helping her navigate the settings.
She couldn’t understand why she was so nervous. She remembered how she thought it was nothing when her dad mentioned he used to do some streaming in the past. Come to find out, it wasn’t just ‘nothing.’ Not at all!
Evangeline, who had been tensed up, took a breath and asked again, “H-How is it now?”
zz - [Perfect. So, you draw stuff live?]
“Y-Yes! I draw live, but I’m not sure what to draw...”
zz - [LOL you’re way too honest. Okay, so if I request something, you’ll draw it?]
Evangeline nodded fiercely, even though they couldn’t see her. “Yes! If you make a request, I’ll draw it!”
zz - [Then draw a dragon. Make it cute.]
Evangeline blinked blankly.
‘A dragon? He must mean a real dragon. But... cute?’
With a confused look, Evangeline turned to Super Ribbon for help. Unfortunately, she clearly had no idea how to handle it either.
After hesitating for a moment, Evangeline slowly picked up her pen. “It’s going to take a bit to finish. Please wait just a little while.”
zz -[This is a live drawing stream, after all. The whole point is to chill and chat while drawing. No rush, take your time.]
Evangeline took a deep breath.
From the start, her drawing skills had been anything but ordinary. In fact, there was even a time when Hyun-Ah had uploaded one of her pieces online, and it had received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
With no set layout or structure, Evangeline suddenly placed a single dot in the middle of the canvas. She then began applying seemingly random colors in various places. To someone who had no clue what she was drawing, it would’ve looked like meaningless scribbles.
zz - [Ah. That is a... very unique method. I still have no idea what it is, though.]
Whoever the viewer was, the tone of their messages was gentle and polite, and something about them put Evangeline at ease. She smiled, feeling encouraged, and her hand began moving even faster.
Of course, as the chaotic strokes piled up with seemingly no end or destination, the sole viewer couldn’t help but grow uneasy. It made no sense to them, since the streamer seemed to be doodling like a kid.
However, that confusion didn’t last long.
zz - [Wait. What?]
What had started as a mess of colors and strokes came together, as if each line had always been a puzzle piece waiting to click into place. Super Ribbon also watched in stunned silence as her younger sister’s work came to life.
The drawing had started as a mess, yet the chaotic colors merged together to become a vivid and intricately detailed dragon. A dragon that was both powerful and adorable.
zz - [???]
zz - [What in the world?]
zz - [Wait, those scribbles turned into that?]
The stunned viewer stayed silent for a while. After making the final touch, Evangeline also sat still for a moment in silence.

Phew!
I’m done.” She asked like a child waiting to be graded on a test, “
Ummm,
how is it?”
There came no replyIt was as if the viewer had vanished. She then began wondering if the viewer didn’t like the drawing, or if she hadn’t drawn what they were expecting.
As Evangeline reached to erase the image, suddenly deflated, her chat window blew up.
Ding!! Ding!! Ding!!
- User [Moderation] has hosted 4,231 viewers.
Her stream suddenly exploded with activity.
[
Huh?
What’s this?]
[Here come the refugees!!]
[Incoming raid!]
The chat scrolled faster than she could read, and Evangeline froze, completely overwhelmed. “
Uh. Huh?
Wait... did something break? Why are there suddenly so many viewers?”
Cha-ching!
[RefugeeShepherd has donated 10,000 won!]
– Is this the art scam stream everyone’s talking about?”

U-Uh?
Wait, hold on... why are you sending money...?”
Ding! Ding!
“P-Please stop! I-I didn’t start this to make money!”
Flustered and panicking, Evangeline shouted into her mic, her voice cracking as the donations kept pouring in.
