The Max Level Hero Has Returned!-Chapter 1136.2
Chapter 1136.2
Letting out an annoyed huff, she started messing with something off-screen.
The fact that Eva, who usually focused on drawing, had started trying out other forms of content was a surprising and fun change for her viewers.
Since she didn’t actively manage and moderate her viewers, her stream had naturally attracted a wide variety of personalities. However, ever since it had become known that her stream was actually Evangeline’s, one unspoken rule had been strictly followed.
No one dared to cross the line.
It was partly because Evangeline was still legally a child, but the bigger reason was that she was known—openly by that point—as the daughter of the Saint of Tionis.
She’d denied it, of course, but she couldn’t exactly present hard proof to refute the claims either.
What Evangeline herself didn’t even realize was that she was still feeling the goodwill her viewers were sending her through the stream.
[Honestly, back in the day, there were so many idiots talking trash, but now? No one dares mess with our Eva.]
[Frfr lol]
[She might be a newbie at streaming, but she’s a master of the push-and-pull.]
[I think I’m going to lose my mind...]
Something that hadn’t existed back when she was the target of criticism began to take root—a growing wave of overwhelmingly positive emotions. That change was starting to have a huge effect on the growth of her power.

The more people liked her, the stronger she grew.
Evangeline winced slightly as she felt a strange ticklish sensation near her head, almost as if something was sprouting.
“I’m not drawing today. I’m gonna play a game.”
With that, she opened up the game marketplace Al Hajat had prepared for her.
“So give me some suggestions.”
At her prompt, the chat exploded in unison.
[Obviously Dank Soles!]
[Super beginner-friendly and fun, Dank Soles for sure lol]
“Dank Soles?”
Curious, she searched the name.
“
Wow.
It feels really dark and gloomy,” she commented as she started installing the game.
The moment she launched it, the heavy and ominous background music filled her room.
“
Whoa,
this is so cool! So this is what a game is like... But wait, what am I supposed to pick here?”
She was stopped at the class selection screen.
Knight. Mage. Cleric...
There were so many options, all with different stats. Suddenly, she felt a wave of indecision wash over her.
Ding!
[Constellation Sagittarius has donated 100,000 won.]
- The primordial humans had nothing. Vagrant class.
Ding!
[Constellation Leo has donated 500,000 won.]
- Stick with the basics. Trust only in your own physical stats.
Evangeline felt exasperated by their constant meddling.
‘Those constellations are at it again! Even though Mom had scolded them before!’
It wasn’t about the money. To Evangeline, those constellations were beings who’d once gone to war with her dad, Davey O’Rowane. She’d heard that some of them had since reconciled, but still, she couldn’t understand what those demigod-level entities were doing in her stream of all places.
[Noob? Then you have to start as Vagrant!]
[If you pick Knight as a beginner, you’re basically asking to suffer lol]
[I started with Knight and had to start the game all over again.]
“Vagrant,
huh?
The name sounds weird, but... okay, fine.”
After confirming Vagrant, she moved on to character customization.
“There aren’t that many options to mess with.”
Ding!
[MughalEmpireVeteran has donated 10,000 won.]
- Nope. Let me show you what is possible in the game.
The viewer sent a donation containing the drawing of an utterly grotesque character. It had bright red skin with facial features twisted so far out of proportion that they barely resembled a human face. Yet, at the same time, it wasn’t quite monstrous. It was definitely disturbing, as if someone had pushed every human feature slider to its extreme.
“
Whoa.
That’s... seriously impressive.”
Amazed at the effort it must have taken to get such a result, Evangeline began browsing similar creations and even practiced making her own. The chat erupted in a flurry of half-shocked, half-teasing messages, clearly enjoying her sudden interest in grotesque character design.
However, just as it seemed like she was all in, she suddenly reset everything and started the game with a normal-looking character.
[????]
[Did she just betray all of us??]
[She crushed a man’s pure hopes just like that.]
[Unhinged. Unhinged. Unhinged.]
[When she makes a decision, she goes hard. No hesitation.]
[Even a charging boar has more hesitation than this girl...]
“Nope. I enjoy it more this way. I like pretty things too, okay?”
Ding!
[UncleGuardSquad has donated 5,000 won.]
-
Breaking News. Evangeline O’Rowane, daughter of the Saint of Tionis, admits to liking pretty and handsome things...
“I’m not Evangeline! I’m allowed to have personal preferences too, you know!”
[ :) ]
[ :)) ]
[Sure, sure]
She bickered, but she was smiling. Without even realizing it, she was getting more and more absorbed in streaming.
At the same time, the goodwill pouring in through her stream was being transmitted directly to her, causing something inside her to spin faster and grow larger. Even so, she remained completely unaware of it.
Anyone watching could tell how quickly she was getting used to streaming, interacting with her viewers while playing games far more smoothly than when she’d first started. Alas, nothing ever unfolded that easily.
“
Kyaah!
Nope! I’m done! I’m not doing this anymore!!” Evangeline screamed as her character was stabbed and knocked down by a massive monster swinging a massive blade.
The chat’s claim of Dank Soles being a beginner-friendly game, and the Vagrant class being the go-to starter class, was all nonsense.
The vagrant class had high potential, sure, but it was also notoriously difficult. The game itself was infamously unfriendly to beginners, to boot.
“These monsters feel like they're intelligent! They gang up, use tricks, and ambush me!!”
[Those monsters will absolutely tear you apart lolols]
[You didn’t know the real protagonists are the monsters?]
Unbeknownst to her, the company that made the game was famous for designing systems specifically to torment players as efficiently as possible.
Pushed by sheer stubbornness, she clung to the game, surviving through a ridiculous number of challenges until, somehow, she managed to make it incredibly far.
However, because she played without looking up any strategy guides and charged through the most direct paths, she had no awareness of her surroundings or any hints for navigation.
“What is this game?! It just makes me angry!!”
[She didn’t even die that many times... How’s she already facing the Underworld King?]
[She must be super talented WTF]
[This is seriously amazing LOL]
[No strategy guides, no hints, and a newbie still took down half his health bar on the first try?? Insane.]
[But like... she’s actually fighting the Underworld King...]
“
Ugh,
games really aren’t for me...”
Creating content wasn’t as easy as it looked. Even though she was starting to enjoy streaming, the idea of creating content like other streamers was beginning to tempt her.
Exhausted, Evangeline stood up from her seat. “No, that’s enough for today, I’ve been playing way too long. I’m stopping here.”
[Evaaa]
[Evaaa]
[Three Evas. Strike!!]
“Byeve.” Calling out in a cute voice, she shut the stream off and stretched out her stiffened body. “
Phew!
That was nice.”
Strangely, every time she received praise from the viewers, she felt like something inside her grew just a little bit bigger. It wasn’t something she had ever felt when receiving criticism before.
Had Davey seen her at that moment, he would’ve immediately noticed that Evangeline—unlike her biological mother, Eclipse—was an ancient dragon who somehow grew stronger the more genuine affection and goodwill she received from others.
“Did you finish your stream?” Just then, the door opened and Al Hajat walked in. By his side was Super Ribbon.
“
Ah!
Uncle!” Evangeline beamed and started to run into his arms, but suddenly froze.
She didn’t even act like that with mom or dad anymore. It was something she only did when she was little.
‘But I’m grown up now...’
She stepped back and looked up at him. “What brings you here?”
“I was passing by and thought I’d drop in. You like fried chicken, right? I brought some for you to share with Super Ribbon.”
“Of course! I love chicken!” she shouted joyfully.
While she was happily tearing into the chicken, humming to herself, Super Ribbon asked, “Eva, how’s streaming been treating you?”
“
Hm? Oh,
it’s been super fun!”
Super Ribbon giggled at her bright smile. Then, as if something had come to mind, she closed her eyes.
Moments later, she was surrounded by light—and her form split into Blue Ribbon and Red Ribbon. Since their memories were slightly different from when they were unified as Super Ribbon, the two looked at the fried chicken before them as if seeing it for the first time, their hands trembling with excitement.
“
W-Woaaaah!!
K-Khicken!!”
“K-Khicken!! That’s the food Dad said we couldn’t eat!”
Even their words came out jumbled in their excitement. Red Ribbon and Blue Ribbon instantly looked up at Evangeline and Al Hajat with sparkling eyes.
Once he gave them a nod, they immediately rushed forward, each grabbing onto a leg and happily chattering away as they chowed down.
Staying as Super Ribbon for long periods of time consumed a great deal of mana, so there were times when she had to revert to her split state like just then. Actually, the best way to minimize mana usage was for Red Ribbon and Blue Ribbon to eat food and recover their energy while enjoying themselves.
“It’s good to hear you’re enjoying streaming.”
“Well, drawing alone was starting to feel a bit boring, so I wanted to try other stuff too.”
“Well, that’s up to you. But tell me, do you plan on keeping your identity hidden forever?”
“
Huh?
That’s, um...” Evangeline’s eyes narrowed, thinking it over.
She’d originally hidden her identity because she was afraid that revealing who she really was could lead to serious problems. Yet, surprisingly, nothing bad had happened at all since being exposed. In fact, her viewer count had only gone up. It was a truly bizarre but undeniable phenomenon.
Al Hajat added, “Honestly, I don’t think there’s anyone left who doesn’t know Eva’s true identity.”
“
Ugh.
I thought I hid it pretty well...”
“You were just unlucky.” Al Hajat laughed softly and stood up from his seat. “Look at the time... I’ve got to get going. Let’s catch up again later.”
“You’re leaving already?”
“Yeah. A silence gate has been found in my country,” he muttered with a slightly darkened expression. “There were casualties, too.”
“I’m sorry. If I were just a little more capable...”
If only she could detect or eliminate silence gates in advance, such disasters wouldn’t be happening.
Evangeline gloomily lowered her head, but Al Hajat shook his head.
“No, Evangeline. Listen carefully,” he said firmly. “This is not your fault. So don’t ever make that face.” “Okay...”
As he turned to leave, satisfied, Evangeline looked down at her own hands.
A strange expression crossed her face. She started to think that if she became stronger, she might be able to see more of the silence gates and even expand that vision across the entire Earth.
However, at least for the time being, it felt like a far-off dream.
Taking her mind off the depressing topic, her gaze shifted to Red Ribbon and Blue Ribbon, who were playfully squabbling over a chicken leg.
Blue Ribbon, her cheeks puffed out in frustration after losing the leg to Red Ribbon, looked over at Evangeline and tilted her head.
“Eva’s body is weird.”
Evangeline turned to her with a puzzled look. “
Hm?
What do you mean?”
Blue Ribbon’s eyes widened and she pointed her hand. “Y-Your head! Horns just grew out of it!”
Evangeline blinked in surprise and reached for the spot Blue Ribbon was pointing to. Her hand landed on something she had never felt before.
She was holding onto a horn. Not the shape of a demon’s horn, instead something different, more like a dragon’s. The exact moment she became aware of it, a powerful surge of energy began to swell inside her, greater than anything she had felt before.
Anyone watching her could instantly sense a boost in her power.
She furrowed her brow, prodding and poking the horn curiously. As if responding to her will, the horn then shimmered and disappeared in a flash of light. Then, when she imagined it again, the two horns immediately sprouted back on her head.
“
Wow!
That’s amazing!” Blue Ribbon shouted in awe.
“Just like Mom!”
“Y-Yeah, it is.”
If she had to describe how she felt, it was actually a good feeling as she felt like she had gained something that reminded her of her mother.
Evangeline curiously touched her horns again, wondering where the sudden change had come from. Alas, she couldn't come up with any answer.
Still, it clearly wasn’t just something random.
Across Korea and other countries, more and more people were becoming aware of her existence and personality. While watching her stream and seeing her videos online, the more they learned about and liked her, the faster her growth accelerated.
It was as if her body had been perfectly designed to maximize the benefits of streaming.
