Seeing this old man, Qiu Yufei’s face instantly turned pale, covering her face in fear of being seen by Mu Shuoqian, her steps quickening.
"Wife." Steve called out from far away.
The expression on Qiu Yufei’s face instantly turned as if she swallowed a fly, and to her dismay, Mu Shuoqian looked over upon hearing the sound. His gaze was calm and indifferent, but Qiu Yufei saw in it the irony and distaste that made her feel utterly ashamed.
How unlucky, to be seen by Shuoqian. Will he think she is tainted? But she was forced; she didn’t want this.
Qiu Yufei wanted to explain, but Steve had already wrapped his arm around her shoulder, chuckling: "Wife, I’ve come to take you home, I can’t wait."
His voice was loud, as if fearful that those around couldn’t hear him; the bodyguards were accustomed to this, but passersby glanced over. Steve was old and ugly, completely mismatched with Qiu Yufei. Some couldn’t help but look down on Qiu Yufei, thinking such an old-young pairing could never be true love; it must be for Steve’s wealth.
