The Strongest Student of the Weakest Academy-Chapter 375: The Beginning Of The End [XXXVII]

Chapter 375

Chapter 375: The Beginning Of The End [XXXVII]
And just like that... the one-on-one session began.
Unfortunately, Aestrea wasn’t chosen first...
Or second.
Or tenth.
Or fiftieth.
And that annoyed him far more than he expected, because every student who finished their session was allowed to leave the courtyard immediately afterward.
Meanwhile, he was stuck here.
...And forced to wait with two idiots!
Kael and Tyrian.
"Gooooooods, this is soooo damn boriiiiing..." Kael groaned dramatically as he slumped onto a nearby bench, looking like a depressed sea slug that lost the will to live.
Tyrian stood beside him, arms crossed, his expression calm as always.
"...He’s right. This will take hours until it reaches our turn. There are literally thousands of students!!!"
"For real!" Kael added, throwing his arms up. "I just want to get the fuck out of here already—hit the red-light district or something!"
Aestrea raised an eyebrow at his words.
"Don’t you have Selindra for that kind of situation?"
Both Kael and Tyrian completely froze at his words.
And then they both turned toward him with matching expressions that said:
Did you really just ask that?
"...Did I say something stupid?" Aestrea blinkrd and asked once more.
"No, no... it’s just that..." Kael scratched his head slighly, almost averting his gaze, as if he didn’t know how to tell Aestrea.
So, as always, Tyrian chimed in.
"As usual, I’ll explain," he sighed. "After you appeared... well... Selindra stopped acting like a whore."
Aestrea’s eyebrow twitched.
Tyrian continued, blunt as a brick to the face.
"Literally."
Kael nodded vigorously.
"No lying! She even spent her most valuable possession, the Ninth Core of the Divine Abyss, just to recreate her own body! She built herself a new soul and a completely untouched body!"
"And that’s not the end," Tyrian added.
"Her authority changed. From Lust... to Fidelity."
Aestrea slowly turned toward him.
"...Fidelity?"
"Yep. Check her God ID and everything, it’s official!"
Aestrea frowned even deeper.
That was... a ridiculous change, and Aestrea thought that... there was no way he was that attractive, right?
They only knew each other for like half a year or something...
And Selindra must have met a lot of handsome gods...
’...Am I that attractive?’
I mean... he did have the most beautiful Goddess as his wife, not to mention that he had quite a big number of lovers who were still in the lower realm.
But still... that shouldn’t be enough to make the literal GODDESS OF LUST change to a Goddess of Fidelity!
An authority that makes her fully loyal to a single person!
In soul and body!
"Dude, and this is no exaggeration, but she seems to be like... in love with you. And she wants to give you her most perfect, purest self." Kael leaned forward, interrupting his thoughts.
"It’s real. And it’s quite extreme, to say the least," Tyrian nodded.
"And get this..." Kael held up a finger dramatically, "She keeps all men away from her! Like, literally at least five meters! And if anyone enters that zone..."
"...she kills them," Tyrian finished calmly.
"Instantly."
Aestrea blinked slowly.
"She’s even stronger than before! It’s damn terrifying!" Kael threw his hands up.
Tyrian exhaled deeply, staring straight at Aestrea.
"...Whatever you did to her, you broke something. Or fixed something. We don’t know which."
"But she’s definitely, one hundred percent, absolutely head-over-heels obsessed with you, bro." Kael jabbed a finger at him.
Aestrea’s face remained perfectly blank.
’...Great.’
’Wonderful...’
’FANTASTIC!’
’As if Lunara and Olivia weren’t enough... now Selindra?!’
He closed his eyes, breathed out slowly, and accepted the truth.
’I must be cursed or something...’
Attracting female disasters was apparently one of his divine talents.
He looked at the two idiots in front of him and sighed so deeply it echoed inside his own soul.
Then, in the most honest voice he’d used all day, he asked:
"...What should I do with her?"
Both Kael and Tyrian stared at him with identical expressions.
Then they turned to each other.
Then back to him.
Then again, to each other.
Finally, Kael lifted a hand and pointed at his own chest.
"...Are you seriously asking
us
?"
"Aestrea. We are, with all due respect, the last creatures in existence you should consult about women," Tyrian’s eyebrow twitched.
"Like, I haven’t had a stable relationship in my entire life! And Tyrian’s longest romantic involvement was with a cactus!" Kael nodded vigorously.
Tyrian glared at him.
"It was a potted aloe vera. And IT was a misunderstanding!"
"Yeah, yeah, same thing."
"Just give me something useful." Aestrea rubbed his temples.
The two exchanged a long look... long enough that Aestrea regretted asking.
Finally, Tyrian sighed and answered first.
"If she rebuilt her soul for you, reshaped her authority for you, changed her entire existence for you... then ignoring her will just make everything worse."
"Yeah. You gotta... uh... acknowledge her? Talk to her? Treat her like a person?" Kael snapped his fingers.
"And be honest, at least a little. She’s unstable but not stupid." Tyrian nodded.
Aestrea frowned.
"...I can’t exactly date her."
"Then don’t. But don’t act like she’s nothing to you either. That’s how obsessive people snap." Tyrian shrugged.
"Exactly! You need to deal with her with... uh... diplomacy!" Kael waved his hands.
Aestrea stared at him.
"Kael. You once tried to solve a break-up by jumping out a window."
Kael held up a finger.
"And it worked! She felt guilty and took me back for two weeks!"
"Why are you proud of that..." Tyrian groaned.
Aestrea sighed again and leaned back against the stone wall behind him.
"So I need to talk to her. Calmly. No avoidance."
"Yes." Tyrian nodded.
"Carefully."
"Definitely."
"With a backup plan."
"ME! I can be the backup plan! If she tries to murder you out of devotion, I’ll...!" Kael raised his hand excitedly.
"No," Aestrea cut him off instantly.
"I can distract her with my jokes?"
"No."
"Sacrifice myself?"
"Absolutely not."
"Cheer her on?"
Aestrea glared.
"...Kael."
"Fine, fine. No fun allowed." Kael deflated.
"Jokes aside, Aestrea... she’s dangerous. Not because she wants to hurt you, but because she’ll hurt anyone else who gets too close," Tyrian crossed his arms.
Aestrea’s expression tightened slightly.
’...Great. Another one.’
He leaned his head back, staring at the bright ceiling of the divine hall.
"At this point, I’m starting to think I’m cursed."
"You probably are." Tyrian shrugged.
"Yeah. A beautiful, sexy curse." Kael nodded sagely.
Aestrea wanted to hit him.
"Haaaaah..."
Tyrian finally let out a long, weary sigh, the kind he only used when he was preparing to say something incredibly stupid but also incredibly sincere.
"Well... look," he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck, "it probably won’t be that bad. Having someone obsessed with you."
Aestrea froze.
’...No, you definitely won’t want to have someone obsessed with you!’ he complained inwardly.
’Especially when more than one woman is!’
Kael’s eyes sparkled like a child who was just told candy was free.
"Ohhh, he’s right! Dude, think about it! Obsession isn’t always bad!"
Aestrea slowly turned his head toward them.
"I mean... it depends on the type. But obsession can mean loyalty. Unbreakable devotion. Someone who won’t betray you no matter what." Tyrian continued, oddly calmly.
Kael nodded excitedly, pointing a dramatic finger toward Aestrea’s face.
"Yeah! And in Selindra’s case? Bro, she’s friggin’
loaded.
She was a premium High-Class Goddess even before she got reborn!"
"She has resources, artifacts, connections. Her wealth alone could fund a whole faction," Tyrian added.
"And she’s hot," Kael chimed in.
Tyrian shot him a look, but didn’t deny it.
"...She is."
Kael leaned in like some shady merchant.
"And she’s changed herself entirely for you! New body! New soul! New authority! Bro, she basically went from ’Goddess of Lust’ to ’Goddess of Extreme Loyalty and Simping for Aestrea!’"
Aestrea’s eyelid twitched violently.
Kael held up his hands dramatically.
"Imagine the perks! A sugar momma who could wipe out your enemies with a flick of her finger! Someone who would carry you around like a prized divine pet! You wouldn’t have to spend a single divine crystal again in your LIFE!"
"...He’s... not wrong...," Tyrian nodded reluctantly.
Kael clapped his hands.
"Exactly! You could literally say: ’Selindra, I need money.’ And she’d dump a mountain of resources at your feet."
"Or: ’Selindra, buy me that.’ And she’d purchase the entire store."
"Or: ’Selindra, I’m hungry.’ And she’d hunt down a mythical creature and cook it personally."
"And she’d probably kill anyone who looked at you wrong," Tyrian added thoughtfully.
Aestrea’s soul twitched inside his body.
Kael grinned.
"See? Benefits, benefits everywhere."
Tyrian sighed again.
"A devoted, powerful woman who only wants you... could be useful. As long as you handle her properly."
"And hey!" Kael slapped Aestrea’s shoulder.
"At least she’s not trying to harvest your organs or turn you into a puppet. I call that a win."
Aestrea stared at them.
He said nothing.
But inside?
Inside his mind?
Millions of thoughts were slamming into each other like a divine-scale traffic accident.
’If Selindra’s obsessed with me, that’s already a disaster.’
’Lunara’s possessive as hell...’
’Christina loves me too deeply...’
’...and Olivia, no. Not even thinking about that.’
’Why is my life like this?’
His soul screamed into the void.
But on the outside, he remained still.
Kael and Tyrian exchanged looks.
"...He’s having a crisis," Kael whispered loudly.
"A massive one," Tyrian nodded sighingly.
And Aestrea?
Aestrea just stared blankly into the distance, wondering if dying once more would actually be more peaceful than dealing with this mess.
Unfortunately for him, he had already spent his last chance to reincarnate.
[New title acquired!!!]
’...What?’
Aestrea opened his status with curiosity.
