Chapter 569: Chapter 569: My Dad is Super Fierce, You Shouldn’t Get Along with Him
On the first day of school after the National Holiday, Ignatius Leclair personally took Benjamin Leclair to kindergarten.
The man stepped out of the understated yet luxurious Bentley, holding Benjamin’s small hand as he led him into the classroom.
The toddler class teacher was seeing Benjamin’s parent for the first time. Upon spotting the dignified and strikingly handsome man, with phoenix-like eyes dark and deep as ink, she felt her heart nearly leap out of her chest.
"Brother Nicholas, good morning." Benjamin bounded into the classroom energetically.
Because of his mommy’s class schedule, Nicholas Carter arrived at the kindergarten earlier than others every day. The young boy, already neatly seated at his desk, saw Benjamin and offered a shy smile.
The man stood at the doorway of the classroom, utterly ignoring the tongue-tied teacher nearby who was mesmerized into silence. With his piercing gaze, his phoenix-like eyes focused on his son. The young boy had delicate and refined features, showing faint traces of resemblance to him. Yet at such a young age, Nicholas was precociously mature, lacking the uninhibited charm expected of a child. He was nothing like Benjamin, who was not only mischievous but also scheming.
It was unexpected for Ignatius Leclair that his son had been raised by Delphine Carter into such a mild-mannered and honest temperament. Ignatius’s gaze darkened—this woman, disliking crowds herself, had led their son into a life of isolation from social circles. With a character like Nicholas’s, how could he possibly inherit his vast enterprise in the future?
The slight curve of Ignatius’s lips turned cold and severe. Utter nonsense.
"Benjamin, is this your daddy?" Nicholas, noticing the imposing and aloof man who had been staring at him, lightly nudged Benjamin.
"My daddy is really fierce," Benjamin’s eyes flickered as she whispered quietly, "He often spanks my little butt. Brother Nicholas, don’t be friends with him."
Nicholas nodded, deciding to stay far away from this intimidating-looking uncle.
Benjamin chuckled smugly twice. Yesterday, her daddy confiscated all her lollipops and even took away her pocket money. She was a girl with a small heart and held grudges easily.
"Mr. Leclair, are you here to drop off Benjamin at school?" The toddler class teacher finally gathered enough courage to speak in a trembling voice, but the man had already turned away indifferently. His tall and commanding figure retreated, majestic as a mountain range.
The teacher’s face turned pale, unable to recover for a long while.
Delphine Carter had been house-hunting for the past couple of days. The incident from yesterday had left the residents of the courtyard making pointed remarks about her, and with the landlord’s son in trouble, the courtyard was no longer suitable for her and Nicholas to live in—especially now that Ignatius Leclair knew of its location.
After her class, Delphine went directly to pick up Nicholas.
"Mommy, Benjamin’s daddy came today." Nicholas, carrying his backpack and holding his mommy’s hand, thought of that cold-looking uncle and softly said, "Uncle Leclair stared at me for a long time."
Delphine’s body stiffened. She bent down to look at Nicholas closely, lowering her voice to ask, "Did he say anything to you?"
Nicholas shook his head, the young boy looking slightly puzzled as he replied, "Benjamin says her daddy is super fierce."
Delphine’s thoughts grew increasingly chaotic. She hadn’t expected Ignatius Leclair to go to the kindergarten to see Nicholas. That man had a mind full of calculative intentions—what was he planning?
"Nicholas, don’t talk to strangers, okay?" Delphine lowered her voice to instruct him.
Nicholas nodded, thinking to himself that the uncle indeed didn’t seem likable. Both Benjamin and mommy didn’t like him; neither wanted him to befriend the man.
Inside the understated but luxurious Bentley, Ignatius sat silently, staring at the mother and son walking along the shaded path. His sharply attractive brows furrowed deeply—they didn’t even have a car and walked all the way to the subway station to take the metro?
Ignatius’s handsome face instantly tightened, his deep voice commanding, "Drive the car over."
