This Is Not the Female Demon Lord I Remembered-Chapter 811 - 649: Sometimes Taking the Initiative Isn't So Bad (Part 2)

Chapter 811

"I'm fine now."
Liang Yi patted his junior sister's fragrant shoulder, his calm tone proving that he had regained his composure.
"Hold me a bit longer~"
Even though she knew her senior brother was okay, Su Youyi was a bit greedy for his embrace, craving the peace and warmth. If she could, she would freeze this moment in time forever.
"I really can't do anything about you."
Liang Yi rubbed his forehead, but had no intention of pushing his junior sister away.
"Hmm? Is senior brother uncomfortable?"
Su Youyi suddenly showed a sly expression, looking up and blinking at her senior brother.
"I'm... I'm not uncomfortable..."
Liang Yi tilted his head back, not wanting his junior sister to see his awkward expression.
His junior sister's body was soft and warm, her hair exuded a pleasant fragrance. Her delicate frame nestled in his arms made him instinctively want to hold her tighter.
"Thump! Thump!"
In the quiet and ambiguous atmosphere, Liang Yi felt his mind filled with thoughts of his junior sister, his heart beating faster and faster.
If it were someone else in his arms, he might not have such a strong reaction. But this was the junior sister he liked and loved, the one he wanted to protect for a lifetime.
With the emotion called "love," Liang Yi fully understood what it meant for a heart to race.
In his embrace, Su Youyi's arms tightened around his, her burning cheeks burying even deeper. Leaning against his chest, listening to the intense heartbeat, it somehow perfectly synchronized with her own.
Liang Yi felt a bit thirsty, a different kind from when he first woke up.
Instinctively, Liang Yi reached for the cup of water his junior sister had placed on the table beside him to quench his thirst.
But in the next second, Liang Yi felt someone tugging forcefully at his collar, pulling his head down.
"Youyi..."
A warm sensation spread from his lips. Liang Yi's eyes widened in surprise, but seeing her trembling eyelashes and bashful face, he closed his eyes, focusing on the sensation on his lips.
The room was filled with soft, warm yellow light. The Mountain Spirit hid beneath the shop, leaving only a pair of curious eyes peeking out, not understanding what was happening.
After who knows how long, Liang Yi and Su Youyi parted, their eyes still filled with emotion.
"Senior brother, I..."
Su Youyi bit her lip, just about to say something, when a sudden loud knocking came from the door.
"Knock, knock!"
"Sister Su, is Liang Yi awake?"
Along with the knocking was the concerned voice of He Zhiqing.
"He should be almost fine, right? It was just a simple exhaustion-induced fainting. Didn't Sister Ji Ningqiao say it was nothing serious?"
Yu Gejing's voice followed, and it sounded like there were others with them.
Su Youyi's face flushed with embarrassment, and she immediately flipped over, hiding her head under the quilt.
"..."
Liang Yi watched his junior sister's action with speechless disbelief. Isn't this just giving the game away?
"Come in..."
Liang Yi patted his cheeks, instantly acting as if nothing happened and spoke up.
"Oh? I told you he should be fine!"
He Zhiqing excitedly pushed the door open, followed by a large group of people flooding in.
"Eh? Why are you sitting up? What happened to Sister Su?"
Seeing the scene upon entering, He Zhiqing was dumbfounded, his mind sharing the Mountain Spirit's confusion.
"Don't worry about that first. Why are you all here?"
Seeing who the arrivals were, Liang Yi was also puzzled and asked.
Besides He Zhiqing and Yu Gejing, who had spoken previously, all the family's Chiefs were present, even including Wan Tinggui.
"What's wrong? Not welcoming!?"
Liu Rouxin sat fiercely beside Liang Yi and casually picked up a Spirit Fruit that Su Youyi had washed on the table and took a bite.
"Chen Hua sent us over. The situation upfront is stable enough; there shouldn't be any issues for a while, so they let us come back first."
The old man shrugged and pointed to the people in the room.
Zhou Wudao stood at the door, pointing with his paintbrush at Youdao Mountain. Ke Mengzhan leaned against the wall, eyes closed with a sword in his arms. Pang Qingshi, upon entering, merely glanced at Liang Yi and Su Youyi before standing quietly and elegantly. Hui Zhi stood with hands clasped, a brilliant smile on his face.
"What happened to Sister Su?"
Yu Gejing glanced at the bed where Su Youyi hid under the quilt, full of doubt as he asked.
"Oh, after I woke up and saw Youyi looking tired, I let her lie down to rest for a bit. Sorry for not notifying you sooner."
Liang Yi gave a guilty smile, revealing a partial truth.
"Sister Su truly was worried about you. She's been by your side for three days, waiting for you to wake up."
He Zhiqing nodded in agreement, feeling that Su Youyi seemed a bit fatigued.
"Is that so?"
Wan Tinggui glanced at Liang Yi, then at Su Youyi, who had her back to everyone, her ears visible, seemingly doubtful.
It wasn't that he didn't believe Liang Yi—it just didn't seem that simple.
"Haha... By the way, Master just sent me a message explaining the situation. Let's talk outside."
Liang Yi chuckled, quickly changing the subject.
His words drew everyone's attention. They clearly understood the real reason for gathering there.
