Spirit Creek Sect.
In the small courtyard by the Herbal Field.
Guo Feilong gazed at the stars in the sky, lost in thought. He was contemplating what kind of life he should lead for the rest of his days.
He had transmigrated to this world of immortal cultivation 103 years ago. For 100 years, he had been an Outer Disciple of the Spirit Creek Sect. Due to his poor spiritual root aptitude. He had spent a century cultivating. Yet he had only reached the sixth level of Qi Refining.
He was just half a step away from the seventh level. But that half step was as hard as climbing to the heavens. For more than fifty years, he hadn't broken through. The bottleneck to the seventh level of Qi Refining. Was like the door of a bank vault.  No matter how hard he pounded with his fists, he couldn't break through.
Guo Feilong knew. With his spiritual root aptitude, even if he cultivated until death. He would never reach the seventh level of Qi Refining.
Immortal cultivators have a much longer lifespan than ordinary people. The higher the cultivation stage, the longer the lifespan. Under normal circumstances.A cultivator at the Qi Refining stage can live to around 150 years old. Then their bodily functions rapidly decline, and they die naturally within a few days.
At 120 years old now, he had about 30 more years to live. In the sect, Outer Disciples over a hundred years old. When they feel there's no hope of breaking through their cultivation stage. Generally, they choose to apply to descend the mountain.  To settle in the mortal realm under the sect's jurisdiction, marry, and have children, living out their remaining years quickly.  Only a few choose to stay in the sect's Heavenly Abode, living carefree until they die of old age.
"I've lived two lives and still don't know the taste of a woman."
I'm going down the mountain!
I'm going to marry!!
I'm going to enjoy life!!!

The next day.
After casting a spell to bring rain to the Herbal Field. Guo Feilong performed a low-grade spell, the Soaring Cloud  Technique, and a cloud about ten feet wide appeared beneath his feet. The cloud flew towards the main peak of the Spirit  Creek Sect at a speed of about 80 miles per hour.
In the world of cultivation, powerful sects and immortal families establish themselves in Heavenly Abodes filled with abundant spiritual energy. The Heavenly Abode of the Spirit Creek Sect is a Third Grade Heavenly Abode. With a diameter of over 1,000 miles. Containing thousands of large and small peaks. Hundreds of lakes. And tens of thousands of acres of cultivated Blessed Fields.
The spiritual energy is three times that of the outside world. The main peak of the Spirit Creek Sect stands over 48,000 meters high. Located at the center of the Heavenly Abode.
From afar, It resembles the Buzhou Mountain that supports the heavens and the earth. From any peak within the Heavenly Abode. One can see the majestic and towering main peak of the Spirit Creek Sect.

On the white cloud.
Guo Feilong, with his head full of white hair, looking like an immortal, flew for more than two hours before reaching the Outer Disciple Management Office outside the main peak of the Spirit Creek Sect.
First, he exchanged the contribution points he had accumulated over the years as an Outer Disciple for 850 low-grade Spirit Stones, some low-level elixirs, 1,000 taels of gold, and 100,000 taels of silver bills.
Then he found the steward in charge of managing the Outer Disciples and explained his intention to descend the mountain to marry and have children. Steward Li was an Inner Disciple, with much better spiritual roots than him. At just over eighty years old, he had reached the ninth level of Qi Refining and was already qualified for Foundation Establishment. Once successfully established, he could become a sect elder and have a lifespan of nearly five centuries.
However, except for geniuses with Earth Grade spiritual roots, who have a high success rate for Foundation Establishment. Even those with High Quality spiritual roots have a success rate of less than three or four percent. For those with Medium Quality spiritual roots, the success rate is less than three or four per thousand. As for someone like him with Low Quality spiritual roots, ninety-nine percent of people will never reach the seventh level of Qi Refining in their lifetime.
In the cultivation world, there is an elixir called the Foundation Pill. It can increase the success rate of Foundation Establishment. However, the price of a Foundation Pill is extremely high, beyond the reach of most cultivators at the ninth level of Qi Refining.
Guo Feilong had heard through the grapevine. That Steward Li had paid a hefty price. He had even used the favor of his long-deceased grandfather to secure the position of managing the Outer Disciples. His goal was to collect gifts and amass Spirit Stones to purchase a Foundation Pill.
Having lived two lives and reaching the age of 120, Guo Feilong understood the ways of the world.
Outer Disciples who have been in the sect for over a century, when they descend the mountain and leave the Heavenly Abode. The Spirit Creek Sect grants them a town outside as a fiefdom, with the power of life and death, to reward them for their contributions to the sect.
The smallest town has a population of less than 1,000. The largest town has a population of over 10,000. How large a town one receives as a fiefdom. Is now up to Steward Li.
In Steward Li's office, Guo Feilong patted his storage bag at his waist, and 100 low-grade Spirit Stones appeared on the table.
An Outer Disciple's monthly salary is three low-grade Spirit Stones, and a month's sect contribution points can be exchanged for two low-grade Spirit Stones. An Outer Disciple's total monthly income equals five low-grade Spirit Stones.  After deducting the Spirit Stones consumed during regular cultivation, saving 20 low-grade Spirit Stones a year is extremely difficult. 100 low-grade Spirit Stones are a considerable sum even for an Inner Disciple.
Steward Li nodded in satisfaction, packed the 100 low-grade Spirit Stones on the table into his storage bag, and said with a smile, "In the east of the sect, 28,000 miles away in Kingdom Wu, under Green Sun County, there's Yellow Rock Town. The population is between 13,000~14,000. Are you willing?"
Guo Feilong's eyes lit up immediately, and he replied happily, "Thank you, Senior Brother, for taking care of me. I am willing to go to Yellow Rock Town."
A large town with a population of 13,000~14,000 is much better than a small town with less than 1,000 people. In his fiefdom, his rules are the rules. He can do whatever he wants, a local despot.
Seeing his agreement, Steward Li took out a token from his storage bag, made of a material that seemed neither iron nor jade, and inscribed it with mystic power: "Spirit Creek Sect, within the Kingdom Wu, under Green Sun County, Lord of Yellow Rock Town, Guo Feilong," then tossed it to him.
"Drip blood on the token to activate the formation on it. Then go to the registration desk in the first-floor hall to record it, and Yellow Rock Town will be your fiefdom. The sect will send someone every fifteen years to check if the fiefdom lord is still alive.
If you die and none of your descendants have spiritual roots, the fiefdom will revert to sect management. If your descendants continue to have spiritual roots, the fiefdom will remain with your descendants.
Also, as an affiliated force of the sect, if the sect issues any tasks or orders, you and your descendants must comply, understand?"
Guo Feilong nodded, indicating he understood.
He left Steward Li's office on the second floor and went to the office hall on the first floor. At the registration desk managed by an Outer Disciple, he recorded the fiefdom information.
Guo Feilong then performed the Soaring Cloud Technique, stepping on a white cloud, and flew towards the Beast Hall, 50 miles west of the main peak.
