Chapter 122: Morning Care
"Was it comfortable?"
Ding Yixin saw Rong Xingyu’s expression and immediately knew what he was thinking.
He couldn’t help teasing him.
"Com... comfortable..."
Rong Xingyu answered in a daze.
Then he suddenly realized he had said what was in his heart out loud.
His whole body froze in Ding Yixin’s arms.
Now not only his face and neck were red and his whole body was turning red.
He felt like he had been thrown into a pot and boiled like a shrimp.
And why was he not wearing clothes yet!
When Ding Yixin saw Rong Xingyu was truly embarrassed to the point of tears, he couldn’t bear to tease him anymore.
He quickly asked, "Yuyu, are you hungry now?"
Rong Xingyu sniffled and answered, "I’m hungry..."
If Ding Yixin hadn’t asked, it would have been fine.
But once he did, Rong Xingyu suddenly felt his stomach was empty.
He really was a little hungry.
He lifted his hand and pushed Ding Yixin softly. "I want to eat."
Ding Yixin gave a low laugh and brought over a bowl of white mushrooms soup.
"We’ll go down to eat in a while. Drink some soup first to soothe your throat."
No one knew how long this white mushrooms soup had been stewed.
It was already thick and sticky.
There were also red dates and goji berries inside, making it look pretty.
The sweet smell filled the air the moment it was brought over.
Rong Xingyu’s stomach was already growling.
He didn’t need Ding Yixin to feed him, he took the bowl himself and finished every last drop.
"Good job," Ding Yixin said as he patted Rong Xingyu’s hair. "Our Yuyu is a good kid who never wastes food."
Rong Xingyu: "..."
Rong Xingyu covered his burning face.
"You... you move away first. I need to put on my clothes."
But Ding Yixin did not hurry to let Rong Xingyu go.
He opened his hand and in his palm was a small silver tube of ointment.
Rong Xingyu first looked at the ointment in confusion, then lifted his head and looked at Ding Yixin.
When Ding Yixin explained the effect of the ointment to Rong Xingyu, he feel he want to cry!!
He lowered his head very low and refused to look at the ointment again.
But the place behind him really did feel a bit uncomfortable.
"This time I will help you. After this, you do it yourself, okay?" Ding Yixin whispered beside Rong Xingyu’s ear.
Rong Xingyu bit his lip and nodded.
A dark shade flashed through Ding Yixin’s eyes.
His hand slowly slid down along Rong Xingyu’s leg.
Very soon, from the half-closed bedroom door came Rong Xingyu’s broken, trembling cries.
Later, when Rong Xingyu was finally dressed, he was still carried in Ding Yixin’s arms down the stairs to the dining room.
Rong Xingyu buried his face deep in Ding Yixin’s chest, leaving only his two ears showing, both red like they were about to drip blood.
The ointment earlier seemed to be made from some kind of herbal medicine.
It even had a faint smell of traditional herbs.
Once applied, it felt cool and soothed the uncomfortable feeling that made Rong Xingyu so embarrassed.
But slowly, another strange feeling appeared.
This feeling was not unfamiliar to Rong Xingyu.
He had experienced it for a long time with his whole body last night.
After the ointment was finished, Rong Xingyu had tears in the corners of his eyes.
His whole body felt like its strength had been drained.
He lay on the bed, unable even to lift his arms.
Ding Yixin bent down and kissed the corners of Rong Xingyu’s eyes to comfort him, kissing away the tiny drops of tears.
Rong Xingyu felt like he was a soft doll and Ding Yixin was the owner of the doll.
He dressed him carefully and even took him to the bathroom to wash up while carrying him.
And now he was being carried again, held horizontally, as they went toward the dining room downstairs.
If someone saw him like this, it would be so embarrassing.
Rong Xingyu felt like crying but had no tears left.
He burrowed even deeper into Ding Yixin’s arms, as if hiding deeper would keep people from seeing him.
Ding Yixin gave a quiet laugh, sounding like he was in a very good mood, his chest lightly shaking.
He finally placed Rong Xingyu on the chair in the dining room.
The chair had already been carefully covered with a thick soft cushion.
It was very comfortable.
Rong Xingyu grabbed the front of Ding Yixin’s clothes and refused to lift his face.
Seeing this, Ding Yixin lowered his head and coaxed softly beside his ear, "Yuyu, weren’t you hungry?"
Only after he heard Ding Yixin say that no one else was there did Rong Xingyu finally loosen his grip and raise his head from Ding Yixin’s chest.
He looked at the table full of dishes that was clearly lighter and easier to digest, but still beautiful and fragrant.
His stomach let out a loud growl.
It was already noon.
He was really hungry.
No matter how embarrassed he was, he still had to fill his stomach first.
Ding Yixin watched Rong Xingyu pick up the chopsticks after what looked like a long moment of self-encouragement.
His mind was already completely drawn to the food on the table.
Ding Yixin couldn’t help shaking his head and laughing helplessly.
Rong Xingyu ate happily and did not forget Ding Yixin beside him.
"Dr. Ding, come eat with me."
Ding Yixin sat beside him and naturally picked up food for him.
He himself ate very little.
This man, someone whose single step could shake all of Liaofang City was now wearing simple home clothes, sitting at a dining table, not feeling bothered at all as he picked and peeled food for Rong Xingyu.
He didn’t even realize when he had gotten used to all the ways Ding Yixin took care of him.
To him, nothing felt strange about it.
