Chapter 50: The Zipper and the Doctor
But when she saw who was standing outside, she froze in surprise.
The man at the door smiled gently at her and said, "Excuse me, is Rong Xingyu rehearsing here?"
Zeng Youzhen looked up at the man standing in front of her.
He was wearing a black trench coat, his slightly long hair tied neatly behind his head.
His exposed features were flawless and so perfect that not a single flaw could be found and his whole presence carried an aura of quiet elegance and striking beauty.
Where on earth did this handsome man come from?!
Zeng Youzhen quickly covered her mouth, trying to hold back the scream that nearly escaped.
"Y-Yes, Xingyu is here rehearsing," she stammered.
Ding Yixin smiled gently and raising his hand slightly. "I brought some drinks for everyone. Would you mind if I came in?"
Only then did Zeng Youzhen notice that the unbelievably handsome man was holding several cups of milk tea!
She hurriedly stepped aside to let him in.
Ding Yixin handed out the drinks to the students rehearsing inside and the ones for the girls even had different packaging.
He explained with a calm voice, "I thought you girls might want to watch your figure, so I ordered the sugar free ones."
The moment he smiled politely, Zeng Youzhen and the other girls were completely struck down by his gentlemanly charm.
If they weren’t afraid of embarrassing themselves, they would’ve clutched their chests and fainted on the spot.
So gentle... so thoughtful!
And from the packaging, this was clearly from that super popular milk tea shop near campus, the one that always had a long line!
After being completely won over by the milk tea, a few classmates pointed toward the dressing room and said, "Xingyu’s in that changing room over there."
Ding Yixin nodded in thanks, then turned around and walked in that direction.
As soon as his figure disappeared from view, Zeng Youzhen suddenly froze mid sip.
Wait a second, wasn’t Rong Xingyu changing clothes in there?!
She looked down, took another long sip of her drink and sighed with bliss. The milk tea was so good...
Well... Rong Xingyu was probably done changing by now anyway, right?
The door to the dressing room was slightly ajar anda soft golden light spilling out from inside.
Ding Yixin didn’t rush in. He stood quietly at the doorway and looked through the narrow gap.
Inside, the slender young man stood alone in the middle of a slightly messy room.
He was wearing a half fitted and complicated princess gown.
The huge skirt spread across the floor, almost taking up the entire room.
From the waist down, it looked fine but from the layers of the skirt upward, the young man’s entire back was bare and exposed to the cool air.
The gown was designed to be off shoulder, but now even the bodice had slipped halfway down hanging loosely around his slim arms.
He hadn’t noticed someone standing at the door and continued trying to reach behind himself for the zipper.
As he moved, his delicate shoulder blades shifted under his skin like a pair of wings ready to take flight.
His back was smooth and slender, with not an ounce of excess flesh.
The lines were graceful and his skin was so pale that it almost glowing like fine white jade under the warm yellow light.
It looked like the kind of skin that would easily bear a mark if it touched.
Ding Yixin’s gaze darkened deeply.
No one knew how long he stood there before he finally raised his hand and lightly tapped on the doorframe.
Rong Xingyu’s movements stopped instantly. He turned his head sharply feeling a little bit startled.
This was the first time in both his lives that he had ever worn a dress and such a complicated one at that.
After undoing all the ribbons, he had struggled for a long time before finally managing to pull the gown over his body.
But he had no idea how to pull up the zipper on his back by himself.
For the first time, Rong Xingyu felt that his arms weren’t long enough.
Just as he was struggling to reach the zipper, he suddenly heard a sound coming from behind him.
The moment the young man turned around after hearing the sound, he looked just like a startled fawn glancing back in the morning forest.
Even his wide, round eyes resembled those of a deer.
"Dr. Ding?"
Rong Xingyu held the slipping bodice up with both hands, afraid it would fall and asked in confusion, "Why are you here?"
Ding Yixin placed the cup of mango pomelo sago he’d been holding on a nearby table and walked toward him.
"I thought the rehearsals might be tiring, so I came to bring everyone something to drink."
Rong Xingyu nodded his head, still not understanding why he was there.
Then Ding Yixin asked gently, "Are you having trouble with something?"
Rong Xingyu suddenly remembered that his gown was only half on and realizing that he was standing before the doctor in such an "undressed" state, his face began to burn.
He said softly, "The zipper on the back... I can’t reach it."
Ding Yixin chuckled quietly. "Let me help you."
He stepped forward and lowered his head and standing behind Rong Xingyu.
Rong Xingyu suddenly felt a warm hand settle lightly on his waist.
The moment that hand touched him, a strange tingling sensation spread from his waist through his entire body, like a spark of electricity.
"Uh—"
Rong Xingyu immediately bit his lower lip, afraid that any sound escaping his mouth would be too strange.
"Does it tickle?"
Ding Yixin’s breath brushed against the side of Rong Xingyu’s neck. He feels warm and close which making him want to move away but he forced himself to stay still.
"I-It’s fine," he replied softly.
The zipper was pulled up slowly from the bottom and the faint "zzzt zzzt" of the metal teeth closing together sounded extra loud in the quiet air.
