Trapped in Paradise (In a Hentai World, as a Trap)-Chapter 306

When Ning Chu woke up, she was still in Wen Yang’s arms.
She wore nothing but a sheer piece of lingerie, but with a giant-sized “human hot water bottle” right next to her, even the depths of winter didn’t feel cold at all.
Unconsciously, she’d snuggled up tighter to Wen Yang during the night. Their bodies were pressed together—and even though Wen Yang was still asleep, she could clearly feel his outline.
Ning Chu had long grown used to being “held at gunpoint”, but her body still reacted with restless heat.
Afraid he’d wake up and grab hold of her again, she tried to scramble out of bed quickly—only to be chased right back into his arms by the freezing morning air.
So cold~
She shivered violently, teeth chattering.
“What time is it?”
Wen Yang stirred from her movement, his voice husky as he asked beside her ear.
His warm breath brushed her earlobe, instantly staining them pink.
Ning Chu reached for her phone, voice shooting up in panic:
“Eight o’clock?! Crap! We’re gonna be late for class!”
She didn’t even care about the cold anymore and tried to bolt upright—only for Wen Yang’s strong arms to keep her locked against his chest.
“It’s already eight! Why are you still hugging me?!”
“It’s winter break.”
“...”
Ning Chu froze. Then it hit her.
Right. Winter break had started.
Her tensed body instantly relaxed. She yawned and flopped back down into his arms, muttering, “You should’ve said so earlier...”
“Weren’t we going to the amusement park today? What time are we heading out?”
“Let’s lie here a bit longer...”
She wasn’t really sleepy anymore, but she didn’t want to leave the warmth of Wen Yang’s chest, nor lift the blanket to face the freezing world outside.
She curled up beside him, side-lying with her phone, scrolling through novels.
Wen Yang, in turn, quietly held her, forehead resting gently against the back of her head, savoring the peaceful morning.
From the street outside came muffled sounds of traffic and voices. Morning light slipped through the thin curtains, casting a soft amber glow across the room. The faint dust in the air sparkled in the light, and the sun’s rays slightly warmed the space inside.
But the peacefulness didn’t last long.
Ning Chu suddenly began squirming restlessly, twisting her hips with irritation, and then abruptly sat up, flushed and flustered.
Wen Yang’s eyes were immediately drawn to her.
That nearly transparent lingerie barely covered anything, and his heated gaze only made her more embarrassed.
“What the hell are you looking at?!”
She reflexively used her arms to cover her chest and glared at him, cheeks red with shame.
That hungry-wolf stare made her even more flustered. She didn’t dare linger another second for fear he’d pounce, so she jumped off the bed in a panic and dashed toward the bathroom.
“I’m taking a shower!”
Barefoot and frantic, she fled into the bathroom.
But just as she was about to enjoy the hot water, she realized that she hadn’t brought any clean clothes in.
“Wen Yang! Can you grab me some clothes?”
She called out to him from behind the door.
A moment later, Wen Yang’s teasing voice came from outside: “Sure~ Want me to join you?”
As he cracked the door open—
SPLASH!
Ning Chu hit him with a faceful of water from the showerhead.
Caught off guard, Wen Yang yelped as the hot water splashed over him.
“Ow—hot!”
Ning Chu peeked out with a smug smirk, still holding the showerhead like a weapon: “Come in if you dare! Let’s see if you get boiled alive~”
“...”
Wen Yang really didn’t understand how Ning Chu could take showers in water that hot.
Just like Ning Chu didn’t understand how he could
still
bathe with cold water in winter.
“I’m heading downstairs to grab breakfast.”
“I want rice noodles with gravy!”
“Got it.”

After showering and eating, it was around 10 AM when they took the bus to the amusement park.
Most schools had already gone on winter break, but because the weather was cold and the park was in a pretty remote spot, when they arrived at the gate, there were only a few dozen visitors scattered around the entrance.
There weren’t many people in the park, which meant no lines, and Ning Chu actually preferred it that way. She didn’t like crowded places.
Clinging to Wen Yang’s arm, her cold fingers occasionally rubbed up and down his sleeve to warm themselves. She looked around with excitement and pulled him along, running all over the amusement park.
“Wen Yang! The roller coaster!”
“You want to try it?”
“Nope, too scared!”
Ning Chu had always been a bit afraid of heights. She was the kind of person who couldn’t even look down from a balcony with a railing. Rides that were too intense? Her heart probably couldn’t take it.
Wen Yang turned toward the log flume, a smaller water-based coaster: “How about that one?”
“No way—it’s freezing! Getting wet in this weather would be torture.”
“Pirate ship?”
“That one’s scary too…”
Before coming here, she’d wanted to ride everything. But after walking around for a while, she had to admit in defeat—she was too much of a chicken now.
When she was little, she’d been much braver. Aside from her fear of heights, she was afraid of nothing and dared to try almost every ride at the park.
But the older she got, the more cowardly she became.
“Why not try the carousel then?”
Wen Yang glanced at her with amusement, unable to resist teasing her.
“That suits you.”
“That’s for little kids!” she pouted.
“Ferris wheel then?”
“I’m afraid of heights!”
Wen Yang sighed.
“You’re literally inside a cabin with a floor. What’s there to be afraid of?”
Now that he mentioned it... it kind of made sense?
Ning Chu had always been curious about Ferris wheels—thanks to all the romantic scenes in TV dramas—so after a little coaxing, she eagerly dragged Wen Yang toward it.
But the moment they got inside the cabin, she immediately regretted it.
“It’s shaking...”
She clutched the handrails with a death grip, face pale. She wanted to get out right away, but the door had already closed, and the cabin had lifted off the ground, swaying ever so slightly.
Wen Yang glanced around the inside of the cabin, then leaned toward the window to look out.
“The view’s pretty nice from up here.”
Ning Chu followed his gaze and peeked out the window, only to feel her heart skip a beat.
The entire amusement park stretched out beneath them, clearly visible in all directions.
Her palms broke into a cold sweat as she snapped her head away and shut her eyes tight.
“I can’t—I think my fear of heights is acting up...”
Her heart raced, her tail had stiffened beneath her skirt, and her whole body trembled.
“This thing’s shaking so much— it won’t fall, right?!”
“I don’t think so?” Wen Yang replied casually.
But without the comforting sensation of solid ground beneath her feet, and with the cabin getting higher and higher, the wind made it sway slightly—making it feel like it could fall at any moment.
Ning Chu couldn’t help but tense up completely. Her muscles locked, her eyes shut tight, and she couldn’t even move.
Seeing her panic, Wen Yang stood up from the opposite seat and moved next to her.
The moment he did, she immediately let go of the safety bar and threw herself into his arms, clutching his arm with both hands and burying her pale face into his chest.
“Wen Yang...”
Feeling the trembling bundle in his arms—and the soft roundness pressing against him—Wen Yang suddenly understood why so many guys liked taking girls to horror movies.
Ning Chu might not be scared of ghosts, but her fear of heights? Perfect substitute.
He gently wrapped his arms around her, clearly enjoying the moment.
“Wanna check out the haunted house later?”
“L-let’s talk about that... after we get down...”
