Trapped in Paradise (In a Hentai World, as a Trap)-Chapter 395

By the time classes ended at six, the sky had already darkened, and the school’s streetlights were glowing.
Ning Chu once again turned down Zhang Shaoqing’s invitation to dinner and karaoke. Instead, she and Wen Yang slipped away from the stream of students heading back to the dorms and made their way toward the school gate.
“Wang Jie! Are you coming or not?”
“If my girlfriend finds out, I’m dead…”
“Damn it! Fine, I’ll go hang out with Qian Qian instead!”
A grumpy voice cursed from behind them, making Ning Chu quietly laugh to herself.
Since she’d been secretly helping Qian Qian come up with ways to dodge him, that guy definitely wasn’t getting that date tonight.
Still, she wasn’t sure if Zhang Shaoqing and Qian Qian were even a good match. Putting aside Shaoqing’s…
unique
tastes, there was quite an age gap between them. Even if they somehow got together, their parents probably wouldn’t approve.
“What do you want to eat tonight?” Wen Yang asked, taking Ning Chu’s cold little hand and wrapping it warmly in his own. “Should we cook or just order delivery?”
“Delivery. We don’t even have a range hood at home—what can we even cook?”
After a short pause, she asked, “Career planning… Wen Yang, what do you think I should do in the future?”
They’d just finished a career planning class, and Ning Chu couldn’t help but feel lost about her future.
She trusted Wen Yang completely—but aside from being a transmigrator who used to be a man, she had zero confidence when it came to her future career.
She honestly didn’t know what she could even do.
“Write your novels,” Wen Yang said with a smile. “Don’t you already have a lot of readers?”
“I
used
to have a lot… Now I’m just writing to keep my attendance bonus.” Her brows furrowed. “And I have no idea what to write next. My autobiography’s already finished.”
Wen Yang chuckled. “Didn’t you tell
me
not to worry too much about the future? The more you think, the more it’ll stress you out. Why are you doing it now?”
Ning Chu looked up at him, her eyes shining softly. “That’s different—you’re my main character! Of course you’ll do great at anything!”
“But me…” Her glow dimmed, and she mumbled gloomily, “I’m bad at games, writing barely makes enough to survive, and my grades are just so-so.”
“How could my author ever be worse than me?”
“Well, when you put it that way…”
“It’s fine,” Wen Yang said gently. “Just do what you love. I’ll handle the money part.”
Ning Chu gave him a sideways glance, then grinned. “Then I’ll be a lazy shut-in trophy wife! No housework!”
“Deal.”
“Aaah—” Ning Chu sighed dramatically. “When will my novel get adapted into a comic or TV drama? Then I’d never have to worry about money again~”
The two chatted idly as they reached the bus stop outside campus. Ning Chu leaned into Wen Yang’s chest, gazing down the road for their bus to appear.
His arms rested around her waist, and suddenly, she remembered her conversation with Yan Xinya earlier that afternoon.
Her period was late this month.
Although she’d gotten used to living as a girl, she wasn’t as naturally in tune with her body as those who’d been born female. If Yan Xinya hadn’t mentioned it, she wouldn’t have even noticed.
Ning Chu frowned slightly. Based on her usual cycle, it should’ve come three or five days ago—but her stomach still felt completely normal today.
Still… a few days late was fine, right?
She looked it up on her phone and nodded to herself. “Mm, totally normal.”
“The bus is here,” Wen Yang said.
Before the doors even opened, the thirty or so people waiting began crowding toward them.
They were all young, strong college students—no one was about to give up their spot.
“Wen Yang! Go! Get us a seat!”
Like a wolf charging into a flock of sheep, Wen Yang plunged into the crowd. The mass of people split instantly, and the moment the doors opened, he was the first aboard, claiming a double seat at the back.
Turning to the window, he saw Ning Chu still outside, stuck behind the crowd and hopping impatiently to get in.
A faint, sweet scent drifted into Wen Yang’s nose.
He blinked and turned toward the girl sitting beside him, frowning slightly.
“This seat’s taken.”
The girl looked nervous. Meeting his gaze, she clutched her phone tighter and asked timidly, “Um… could I have your WeChat?”
“No, you can’t!!!”
A sharp voice rang out.
The next instant, Ning Chu—who’d been stuck outside just a moment ago—suddenly appeared inside the bus. She dashed from the front all the way to the back, furious and out of breath.
The girl flinched, going pale under that fierce glare. She quickly stood up, mumbled an apology, and hurried off to another seat.
Only then did Ning Chu plop down beside Wen Yang, gasping for air. She ran her fingers through her slightly messy hair—and looked up to find him grinning from ear to ear.
“What are you laughing at!” she demanded.
“I just saw you struggling to get on the bus, and then—boom—you were suddenly here.”
“Of course I rushed in! There was a vixen sitting next to you!”
She quickly noticed that several passengers were staring at them. Her cheeks flushed bright red as she ducked her head, muttering under her breath, “What are you all looking at? Never seen the main wife deal with a mistress before?”
“Main wife, huh…” Wen Yang teased.
“I won’t let you have any concubines! Don’t even think about it!”
He couldn’t help but laugh. “I can barely handle one of you—how could I ever think about anyone else?”
“Hmph, that’s not what it sounds like…”
‘Seriously, who can’t handle who here? What nonsense is he talking about!’
Ning Chu yawned, deciding not to argue. She turned her head and shot a glare at the girl who’d tried to hit on him earlier before leaning against Wen Yang’s shoulder.
‘Almost got stolen right out from under my nose!’
‘And she wasn’t even that pretty! Where did she get the confidence to flirt with my man?’
Sure, Wen Yang would definitely turn her down—but every time a pretty stranger approached him, Ning Chu couldn’t help but tense up, terrified that some “plot event” was about to trigger.
What if it was one of those “no-win” plotlines—like Wen Yang getting drugged during a dinner party…
Yeah, no way. She wasn’t about to let that kind of story happen again.
After a few stops, the bus pulled up near the small village where they rented their apartment.
Ning Chu and Wen Yang were the first to get off, followed by a few other students who lived nearby.
At the village entrance, several food stalls had been set up. Yesterday the place had been quiet, but now that the new semester had started, it was buzzing with life.
“Let’s grab a sausage?”
As they passed one of the stalls, Ning Chu caught the smell of grilled sausage, and her stomach let out an audible growl.
“Didn’t you already have enough of that?” Wen Yang teased.
Her ears instantly turned red. “You’re paying!” she shot back, glaring at him.
“I can pay you back when we get home,” he replied with a grin.
Her face grew even redder. She glanced around nervously and hissed, “Keep your voice down! People might hear!”
“There’s no one nearby. Relax.”
“There
is
! Look—there’s a vampire over there! She definitely heard us!”
She pointed toward a petite girl in the distance—Nana, a familiar face. The poor girl had once suffered from a severe fear of men.
And sure enough, Nana lifted her hands to cover her pointed ears, looking flustered.
“If you could just calm down,” Wen Yang said helplessly, “she probably wouldn’t have thought anything weird.”
Ning Chu: “……”
