Truth Of The Forgotten Age-5-10: Another Floor Boss I
Finally, all the girls were awake, and now, they have to figure a way out of the box they're in.
"The walls seem pretty thick..." Seraph said, tapping on a wall to test it's thickness.
Sirtia, the barbarian of the group attacked the wall, seeing if she could break through it, and while it did some damage, it wasn't nearly enough for the time it could take to get through.
"Veronica, come take a look at this." Lilith said, only gathering the attention of Veronica.
Veronica walked over to what Lilith was pointing out. A plaque of sorts, words in a language that Veronica couldn't understand.
"What does it say?" Veronica quietly asked.
"I should really teach you our language. It says 'Meet me on the twenty fifth floor.' Sounds quite odd." Lilith responded.
"Well, I'll keep it in mind if we do ever get down that far. But how do we get out of here?"
A slight rumble had caused the walls to shift, but stayed relatively in the same position.
"An earthquake?" Cassidy thought out loud.
"No, it was too short. Something was shifting the dungeon itself." Kazue responded.
Sable looked at the walls and started to go around, tapping the walls before stopping. She put herself into a fighting position, steadying herself. She took a focused breath and punched the wall, breaking through the wall. Her hand must've been shattered, but not only did she not show any pain, the rest of her team didn't check on her.
Was this perhaps normal?
"Are you okay, Sable?" Veronica asked.
"Of course. I'm tougher than you think." She responded, walking through the newly created hole in the wall.
Everyone else followed her, but Veronica felt something tugging her back in. Not physically, but it was as if something was trying to get her attention. She looked around, trying to figure out why she was being called back to the room. And finally, she laid her eyes on a rock.
She picked up the rock, noting it's interesting shape and color. It became obvious to Veronica that it was an ore. Not a very big chunk, just barely big enough to fit in Veronica's hand. It was surprisingly smooth, with a dark purple color and gold-like lines all over it, making some kind of mystical pattern.
"Ver, why are you still in there? Come on!" Cassidy yelled out to Veronica.
"R-Right!" She responded, pocketing the ore.
She had started following the rest of the group, and it seemed that they reached the conclusion to at least finish this floor before leaving.
So, they wandered. Small enemies tried to get in their way, but ultimately failed.
Though, they did eventually find their way to the boos room. Hopefully, it wasn't recently defeated.
The group stepped into the room. A few seconds passed without the entrance closing, so the girls were all starting to get disappointed. But when Eleanora turned to leave, the door slammed shut.
"Nevermind then." She said to herself, turning back around to face the center of the room.
The eight all got their weapons ready, waiting for the boss to appear.
Seraph's team already knew what it was, but the last time they went through, the boss was already cleared. So this time, their underclassmen get to experience the boss too.
Light had appeared from the ground, weaving and forming into the shape of what the boss is supposed to be. Another humanoid type boss. Though, it seemed rather skinny.
Veronica's team wondered what it could be. The light made the shape of a sword and small shield, formed ruined armor and then dissipated, revealing the monster they were to fight.
A skeletal warrior with glowing red eyes. Or, at least, what could be considered as eyes.
"Oh... undead... this should be... fun..." Eleanora tried to say, keeping her balance. Was she not fond of the undead?
The skeleton, even though it had no muscle or flesh, moved with precision and speed.
A rather unreal fight for the girls, but a fight that could help prepare them for any battles against people in their future.
