Truth Of The Forgotten Age-7-02: Family Bonding II
"So, with this, I won't be able to get anyone pregnant for a limited time?"
"Yup! It's best used shortly before sex. Just make sure to recast it after an hour if you plan on having more."
It took all night, but Veronica finally was able to learn the contraception spell from Lilith, which meant that she no longer had to worry about not having condoms nearby!
However, since it took so long to teach, Veronica was rather exhausted. Though, Veronica did want to see her little kits. And, after a bit of waiting, Kazue had barged into Veronica's room.
"All is ready." She said, not really caring that Veronica is entirely nude at the moment. "I did not know that you need her naked for that spell... Anyways, put some clothes on. They're ready to see their mom!"
Veronica had quickly changed from her birthday suit to something more appropriate, then followed Kazue to wherever she needed Veronica to be.
"So how exactly do we go there without being... here?" Veronica asked, knowing this involves more than just dreaming.
"Magic. More specifically, we can open doorways to any dreamscape we have access to. So, that would include our city, my family's dreamscape and my own one. Typically, one could visit with sleeping and their subconscious pulled into the dreamscape, though not much is able to be brought to reality that way." Kazue had explained.
"Then how did you... you know..."
"Well, you do still have a physical body of sorts, so your interactions were still real. However, you wouldn't have been able to bring anything from the dreamscape to reality without the door way." She tried to explain. "In short demon fox magic is weird." Kazue simplified.
"That, I can understand." Veronica joked with a giggle.
Kazue's room was very clean, though, Veronica didn't get much time to really examine her room when she was... in such a state. And, similarly enough, she's not going to be given much time again as Kazue waved her hand and white gateway appeared. In short time, Veronica could see into the dreamscape.
Not much could be seen from here, but she could see a grassy field, a nearby house, and a fountain just a short distance from the house.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go." Kazue said, taking Veronica by the hand and leading her through the gate.
Once in the other side, the gate seemed to have closed, and the house was much closer than Veronica thought.
"It's very peaceful." Veronica said, taking in a deep breath.
"Indeed. Everything here was created to be as calming as possible. Perfect temperature with a light breeze. I've made sure to make this place the absolute best place to live. Ready to take a step inside and greet our children?" Kazue said with a smile.
"Yeah. I'm a bit nervous, but excited at the same time." Veronica admitted, nervously rubbing the back of her head.
Kazue laughed as she brought Veronica over to the entrance of the house. She had opened the door, with no one to be seen. She continued to drag Veronica further inside, just outside of the main room. Clearly, the kids were all in there.
Kazue motioned for Veronica to get ready, so she did, taking a deep breath. When she felt as ready as she could, she nodded towards Kazue, signaling to her that she's good to go.
Kazue, with an elegant smile on her face, opened the door smoothly. Veronica was surprised to see the kids sitting calmly, playing a game by themselves.
"The mommas are home!" Kazue said a bit loudly, to make sure everyone could hear her.
They all looked at Kazue and Veronica, then they all lit up with smiles and rushed Veronica, nearly tackling her to the ground.
"Momma, momma!" They gathered around, hugging as tight as possible, like if they were to let go, Veronica would disappear.
Veronica laughed as she embraced the children herself.
She wanted to spend as much time as she could with her children. If she's being hunted down by the one she once regarded as a Goddess, she'll need as much motivation and goals as possible. And protecting these girls' smiles was another one to add.
They were all so precious. They even had their own adorable pecking order. While they were all roughly the same age, the oldest one, Kinu, was the defacto leader. Being the calmest, and smartest one of the group.
Some time playing around with them all made Veronica realize that Kinu, who was roughly seven or so, could potentially rival Eleanora at a game of chess.
And in the end, everyone was tuckered out, including Veronica. So, they all cuddled together and took a long nap. Kazue stared at the adorable pile of kits who were all cuddling their sleeping mother.
"They sure are cute. And rather we'll behaved." Lilith said.
"I raised them the same way I was raised. Almost. I changed a few things, just to make sure they can be whoever they want to be, while still being very well behaved." Kazue accepted the praise as she laid down and joined the cuddle pile.
After waking, Veronica a had to take her leave, as much as she wanted to stay. So, had multiple hugs and goodbye kisses, Kazue had taken Veronica back to the real world, where time seemed to have either not passed, or it has been exactly one day. Though, she wasn't too sure.
In the living room, the two saw everyone else sitting down, gathering around a pile of letters and missives.
"There you are! I've been looking for you but could even find a trace... anyways, Elly got our missives again. Come, come! Let's see what we got!" Cassidy exclaimed, pulling Veronica over to the sofa.
Most of the girls letters were just simple check-ins from family, some gifts here and there, and a lot of junk.
However, Eleanora was taking sometime reading hers. She seemed very interested in reading it, though at some point she sighed.
"Do you girls have any dresses to wear in front of nobles?"
