Walking Disasters and Me-Sunrise – Ch 13
It takes me a second to look around and truly appreciate the carnage that Akiko unleashed in this once upon a time ritzy room. A good number of the pompous Elders have been reduced to various blobs of meat that were scattered about in any direction they could fling to. The sound of dripping liquid echoes in the chamber, and I slowly look up to see even more gore and entrails that
somehow
ended up on the ceiling or plastering the now much less pretty green fabric drapes. I feel my stomach turning slightly at the sight of so much blood and formerly alive people parts.
I'm surprised that I don't get a notification saying 'You have now become [Nauseous]' in the systems usual state the obvious tone, but it never pops up. Maybe because it's a natural feeling? I wonder if someone tried to poison me or something if it would let me know... I'll have to ask Ios later. She's been awfully quiet since Akiko princess carried me here. Let's see, what else can I think about to stave off the impending throw up session round 2, electric boogaloo...
About the time I struggle to come up with any more distracting thoughts, I hear Akiko's sandals clinking their way back over to me and turn my head to face her. She seems to be no worse for wear, and even her clothing only has a few specs of blood on it here and there. Whatever kind of pressure she used to pulp these people must have kept her clean too. Thankfully for my stomach and my sanity, I only hear her sandals step into liquid a couple times! I also notice that whatever energy shield she put on me also kept me nice and clean too, which aww~ She's so thoughtful before she goes on a mass murdering spree, it warms the heart! Okay, I may be losing it still, but on the bright side my anxiety and rolling stomach calm down significantly as I see Akiko sauntering to me, her cloud white hair swaying behind her with every step.
As I've been watching Akiko approach since I heard her start walking back, I've noticed something. Is she somehow... hotter? Like, more confident and relaxed, and she seems to walk like a weight was lifted off her shoulders. Her eyes seem sharper and more focused, and her tails are moving in graceful waves behind her as she silkily walks up to me. I'm still getting accustomed to the random, wanton violence that seems to occur every few minutes in this world, but the blood bath seems to have been more effective than a spa day for this sexy fox mommy.
About this time, I notice that her sauntering steps have stopped, apparently having reached where I was standing quite some seconds ago judging by the smirk on her perfect face. I also assume that she is smirking because I have been staring at her this
whole
time, no doubt with my dumb horny thoughts on full display as I now feel the never leaving blush has returned for a while now! This fair skin really can't hide anything, its so unfair!
"Ara~ And here I thought I was one of the few beings that reveled in the delight of carnage, but perhaps I've found a kindred spirit in you, my dearest Amelia?~" Her sultry voice echoes, now at normal levels thank God, through the red stained audience room. She kicks out her hip playfully and rests a hand on it as her smirking smile deepens as she looks down at me slightly, before gently poking my nose and knocking me out of my stupor.
"Akiko! Are you okay? Sorry, I kind of zoned out there watching you walk toward me all seductively like." I blurt out without thinking. Damn it brain! I regroup as fast as I can, "*Cough* Anyways! Is it over? I'll be honest, I didn't expect you to turn the room in to a ruby red version of a Rorschach test. I know you don't get the reference but trust me, it was a banger." I quickly spit out, trying to move the conversation forward before she can call me out,
again.
Our eyes meet briefly, hers having a slightly stunned look for the first time as she rapidly blinks twice with wide eyes and then throws her head back.
Her pretty, melodic laugh comes forth, still keeping her hip cocked and a hand resting there as the one that booped me comes up to her mouth to cover her laughter as my blush deepens as it is wont to do.
"My~ I can see that I will never tire of our interactions, my dear. You are so delightful and refreshing! To answer your questions in order, I am more than fine, sweet Amelia, but thank you for your concern nonetheless. These Elders value station and status more than cultivating or performing their duties, I'm sure you noticed only a few were able to resist being pulled to the ground when I stopped suppressing my power. Plainly put, no soul here was a threat to me.
It is also indeed over, as you put it. Elder Xu was the foolish one that spoke out with such ugly words lacking respect for either of us at the end. He was the leader of the Shadow Branch of the Sect, meaning he was responsible for information gathering, espionage, and assassination when needed. I mentioned that we had been followed and observed on our journey here, and most assuredly it was by his order with members of his Branch loyal to him. When we entered the grand hall, I sensed multiple 5th realm cultivators hiding in the shadows of the room and along the ceilings and drapes. I was surprised that you actually spotted a couple when you were assessing the interior, whether you meant to or not!
I have assumed that he likely sent agents to follow me once I had left the Village or had sent them in advance to investigate the disturbance in the Cerulean Forest on his own terms. He more than likely had a scout or two that saw us flying back to the Village after a few hours out in the field, and then assumed you directly had some connection to Heaven's wrath when they ed back. Likely, the interaction at the gate and this whole sham of a meeting was orchestrated by him, and those loyal to him, to try and pressure me into either giving you to their ilk or prying information from me. He was always a cunning one, but his lust for power and control apparently robbed him of reason if he thought either of those options were available to him.
At any rate, I purposefully worded my "" to those gathered so as to incite him into making a mistake. I was pleased that he took the bait so easily, further giving credence that he was the hand behind the plots and schemes in my mind. After I slew him and flared my Bloodline and Qi again to eviscerate his body," I note that she says that part with a small shiver rippling through her curvaceous body, "I noticed that the assassins and a decent portion of the assembled Elders attempted to flare their own Qi so that they could become ambulatory again. No doubt to use lifesaving treasures or to enact some kind of revenge, their rotten minds not capable of much else I would wager. Well, at that point it was clear who needed to be pruned from the vine, so I simply focused my energies and auras on all of those I deemed a threat. The results, as you can see, were quite effective.
Sadly, it also means that I will have to become more involved in training matters and ensuring our younger members are cultivating properly, however. Even if they were not close to my rank, they should have had enough strength to merely be suppressed when I unleashed my power. Not turned into macabre room decorations." She scoffs slightly before turning her head at a pile of carnage that just slipped down from one of the drapes with a sickening wet
plop
, "I had so much more fun last time, 100 years ago they actually put up a good fight!" She finishes her explanation, and annoyance, by crossing her arms over her ample chest briefly before she turns to face the surviving Elders and leaders of the Village. As her gaze sweeps across them, I watch them all cower back down in fear.
"Miko. Julian. X'Cos. Fei. Come here. The rest of you may disperse for now, I will be personally visiting each of your Branches to ensure proper form and function later. I will not advertise when I will arrive, so you had best see to getting your affairs in order quickly. If I am displeased by any results, you will join your former comrades in becoming piles of formerly together flesh. Begone." Her tone as she gives the order would make glaciers jealous. A large crowd quickly retreats through the large wooden doors at the entryway, some slipping on puddles of blood and bits of now dead colleagues as the selected surviving Elders approach swiftly in front of Akiko, bowing deeply.
I notice Miko off the bat, and Julian looks to be one of the ones that resisted getting suplexed to the ground by Akiko's aura. He is some kind of bear human cross, with a furry, overly muscular body and brown triangular bear ears resting atop his head along with long flowing brown hair. His face is severe and square, and his mouth actually comes to a pronounced muzzle, sticking out maybe 4 or 5 inches from his face with a black button nose at the end.
X'Cos is the dinosaur person that I saw earlier, but getting a closer look at them I don't think that's quite right. They look much more reptilian, or dragonoid maybe. Covered in thick, rust colored scales along their body, with a long, thick tail flowing behind them. Their hands and feet still come to 5 digits, although they end in razor sharp claws. Their mouth comes out like an alligator, with jagged serrated teeth poking through at various points. I notice small holes on the side of their head, likely their "ears" I bet, before taking in their amber colored reptilian eyes that are now cast down to the ground.
Fei is a stunningly beautiful human woman with long, jet black wavy hair that ends at her shoulders. Her round face holds emerald green eyes that are slightly larger than average, a cute mousey nose, and vibrant full red lips. Her figure is a step or two below Akiko's... or mine I suppose... but is without a doubt gorgeous in its own right. Modest, perky breasts with a slim waist and slightly flared out hips holding a more than handful rear. Her long legs are also thick at the thighs before coming down to a more pointed taper toward her feet. Her arms are also quite fit and muscular for the rest of her body, but not so much as to throw off the whole
I'm sexy and I know it
vibe she has.
All of their robes and attire are smeared in various bits of blood and gore; Julian even has a couple pieces of
someone
drop out of his fur with a wet smacking sound as he bows to Akiko with the others.
"Wrong already. We are no longer practicing the informal methods of greetings to each other as you have all lost those rights. As was our custom back in the beginning times, you must
kneel
." Akiko barks out. Okay Amelia, keep it together girl. I can't believe how horny I am getting from Akiko being all domineering like! I honestly may have to start peeking at exploded people parts just to calm down! Just to double check the system isn't broken, I glance at my status sheet and find the two things I was certain were on there.
Active Status Effects: ... [Arousal (Low, Growing)] [Lust (Low, Growing)] ...
I wonder why some status effects give me a prompt and others don't... More questions for Ios~!
All of the Elders except Miko quickly follow her orders, dropping to one knee with their head bent down and a fist resting on the ground underneath them. Miko's old body seems to struggle with the motion before Akiko's cold voice rings out again, "Miko. You have forgone cultivating too long. You are already 786 years old and have not broken through to the Apogee Rank. Your body is too frail to attempt it now, as you cannot even produce the historical greeting without complications. You are hereby stripped of your rank as Elder, your second in command will assume your place. However, I will personally be overseeing your Flowing Pen Branch, as you have tarnished the name of not only the Sect Leader but the Sect itself by your actions. Return to your abode and collect your possessions after informing your second, then find a place in the Village to retire and live the remainder of your days. You may leave now."
Miko's ancient face looks stunned for a few moments, and it looks like she is about to speak as tears begin to form in her eyes. However, she catches Akiko's icy, indifferent glare and instead bows her head in shame. She shuffles out of the hall without a word as Akiko watches her go shaking her head.
She turns her attention back to the remaining three Elders who are still supplanted before her, "She had such promise at one time. She was ruthless about learning inscriptions, formations, and runic arrays as well as cultivating in general. She was the first of us to reach the 3rd realm, the Awakened Rank. I know not what caused her to stagnate but let this be a lesson to all of you. I will not hold your hands and force you to get stronger for your own benefit. You either keep up and contribute to the Sect, or you are left behind. Or worse.
Now then. Julian, X'Cos, and Fei. You three are probably the least involved in what happened today, but I will hear your testimonies at a later date. You shall all keep your positions, and not be subject to the scrutiny that the other Branches are going to be experiencing. In return, you directly to me now in all matters that fall outside daily governance of your Branches. You will also be given tasks and assignments from me, or my disciples who speak for me if I am indisposed. I expect you all to seriously cultivate again and abandon these foolish notions that seemed to have plagued you lot for some decades now.
My first task for you three is as such: Gather the second in commands of all the slain Elders and bring them to this room in one hour. I will explain their promotions to Branch leaders with this display as the backdrop, just to ensure we do not have a repeat performance in a 100 years' time again. After they have been assembled, you are free to return to your duties. Go."
As soon as the command is given, the three Elders rush out of the hall in a flurry of motion. The sound of their feet hitting the ground echos through the courtyard until they finally slip from sight in the pre-dawn light. Akiko breaths out slowly before turning to me once more with a much softer, relaxed expression on her face.
"Let us adjourn outside and enjoy the sunrise, Amelia. This room will start to harbor a most unwelcoming scent before too long, and I don't want to subject you to it. Besides, I can show you around the courtyard! It is without a doubt one of my favorite places in the Village outside of my estate." She grabs my hand softly as she begins leading me out of the carnage strewn room, much to my relief. I did not want to stick around and continue to hear blood and bits falling off various places like it was rain falling off gutters after a storm!
In the fresh air, Akiko takes me on a lovely little date around the courtyard, showing me her favorite spots to relax with a book or just to appreciate nature while she was working in the Hall. The way she sometimes lights up retelling stories of how she would catch some hot blooded younger cultivators making out or going all the way in shady spots around the grounds brings many laughs and smiles to both of our faces. She eventually plops us down next to a small pond with some fish that look eerily similar to koi fish, the pond adorned in small rocks and various leafy plants as the fish swim lazily in small circles. We sit with our backs against a large, cool stone and she takes out a comfortable, thick woven blanket and drapes it across both of our laps.
Overhead, various birds begin chirping their melodies as they wake up to the new day, and a sense of peace begins to fill me. I find that the weariness again catches up to me, and soon my head is resting gently on her shoulder as she has slipped a hand behind my back to gently stroke the side of my head as we relax. The soothing action nearly puts me under, but just as my eyelids are about to wave the white flag Akiko rouses me. "Amelia, look. Your first sunrise in a new world." Her soft, gentle voice whispers into my ear. Not in a seductive way this time, but I would be lying if I said it still didn't send a shiver through me.
I open my eyes fully, while still resting against Akiko and take in the sight. Below us is the Village, all sprawled out in its Edo era glory. Now that more light is coming out, I can tell that the little city is set into a bowl of a valley, with mountains surrounding us on all sides after a good distance. Thick forests surround most of the area outside the walls, although there are some cleared spots for what look like farming and training areas. I can see people beginning to make their way out of their homes inside the Village, starting their daily activities and bringing it to life. The golden amber rays crest between two of the mountains to our east perfectly, almost like they had been sculpted to provide the perfect frame for the sun's arrival.
The dazzling sight brings a soft awe to my weary body, and I give my own whisper against Akiko's neck. "Wow. For all the chaos and life changing things I've gone through in less than a day, I'm glad at least one of those moments was something like this. Just... peaceful and beautiful with someone I can enjoy the experience with. Thank you, Akiko." I turn up to her fully, pulling back into a sitting position as our eyes meet and I continue.
"I know we didn't start off great right way, you had your way of doing things and I was scared and alone. But you've already done so much for me, and your promise of helping Sandra and I means more to me than you could ever know. From the bottom of my heart, Akiko. Thank you." I feel the emotions well up inside me, tears of gratitude and relief and stress all bubbling up and threating to come out. Before they do, I give Akiko one last soft smile before I hug her firmly across her neck and plant a small, thankful kiss on her cheek before resting my head once more against hers.
Before either of us can respond to my sudden physical forwardness, a low gruff voice that seems to shake the small loose rocks around the pond chimes in from the road a good pace away. We both startle a bit and look over to the direction it came from to see the large bear man has returned.
"Madam Akiko. We have brought those that you had specified, as ordered. We await further instructions, at your leisure."
Okay, so maybe his timing isn't
all
bad, cause I definitely don't want to unpack what I just did!
