Chapter 92: Kneel and Beg!
Gerald flinched when he heard Nathan’s words. He could feel his heart thumping harder in his chest as he glanced around to see if Clara was close enough to have listened to what he just said, but she wasn’t. Or... He wasn’t sure.
He looked back at Nathan and took a step closer.
"I’m sorry sir... But, did you perhaps inform the master that you’d be visiting today?" He asked and Nathan smirked as he leaned back on the sofa.
He could tell what was happening. Apart from the fact that no one knew Viktor was somewhere in the house, helping Elias with his heat, the butler was trying to ensure his fiancée didn’t know about it.
However, Nathan was curious to know what would happen if he told his fiancée. After all, he was betrayed first.
’Viktor should have known that Elias belonged to me. He should have known he’s my saviour. No... He knew. He must have known and that’s why he stole Elias before I got the chance. Do not get upset, Viktor... This is just a classic payback,’
"He doesn’t. Actually... I didn’t come here for him. I came here for what is mine, Elias. Aren’t they in there together?" He smirked, his voice louder as he asked.
"Sir..." Gerald tried to speak, but he was interrupted when Clara walked back into the living room with a shocked look on her face.
"I’m sorry, could you repeat what you just said?" She asked and...
’Bingo,’
Nathan smirked. He saw the disappointment look on Gerald’s face but he didn’t care. He has no idea who Gerald was, after all. He looked away from him and back to the woman who had hugged him earlier.
He could still feel her chest pressing against his, and the hand that was bound around her, like she wasn’t ready to let go of him.
’Viktor already has a pretty fiancée. So, why is he chasing after what’s mine? After the damn rumour that he doesn’t do men and he hates Omega? Did meeting Elias make him change his mind or something? Tsk...’
"Excuse me?" Clara spoke again, snapping him back to reality. He quit thinking and when he looked forward, Clara was closer to his face. She even leaned down to wave her hand over his face. He could see her boobs so he just turned his face away with a short exhale.
"What do you want me to repeat?" He asked.
"I heard you mentioned something about my fiancé and that stupid Nanny boy," she said and Nathan wore a confused look. He never mentioned any Nanny boy.
"Nanny boy?" He asked and Clara rolled her eyes.
"I’m talking about Elias Kane. Tell me, did you see those two together or something? Is Viktor planning something behind my back?" She asked, sitting close to him without asking for permission but Nathan was actually confused. He was silently thinking about what Clara mentioned about a nanny boy. He had no idea that Elias was a nanny boy. It was his mistake not to do some digging about how liars and Victor were related. He finally turned his head towards Gerald as he ignored Clara’s question.
"Elias worked here as a Nanny?" He asked and Gerald nodded his head. "I see... That’s how they knew each other. Viktor knew him before I did,"
Clara frowned beside him and Nathan was concerned about the anger blooming beside him. Everyone has been ignoring her ever since she got back from the conference.
When she was at the conference, everyone wanted her attention. Everyone asked for a chance to speak to her, but she ignored them because she wanted to hurry back home and be with her family, but it was worse for her. They ignored her as if she didn’t exist. Now, this stranger, whose identity he didn’t know, was also ignoring her.
She tightened her fist and stood up in anger. Her action finally got noticed by Nathan who had just realised she was close to him.
"You..." She called and Nathan placed a hand on his chest as he tilted his head.
"Me?" He asked and she folded her hand.
"I have no idea why a stranger is inside this house. You didn’t even introduce yourself, yet Gerald allowed you to walk in? I guess I should speak to Viktor about this and get that old butler fired," she said, and she glared at Gerald, who stood behind. He didn’t wear any expression on his face. After all, no matter how hard she tries, she can’t get him fired.
"But..." Nathan spoke, making her divert her gaze from Gerald back to her.
"You were the one who opened the door for me, not him," he smirked, crossing his legs. "You don’t have to frame the poor old man for something you did just because you’re angry,"
"Get out," she pointed at the door but Nathan refused to stand. "I said leave my house! You’re here to see Viktor. Right? Viktor isn’t here," she said.
"I’m sorry, I can’t leave until I see one of them... Viktor or Elias. In fact, the only person I want to see right now is Elias," he nodded, as he placed a hand on his chest with a smile on his face.
"What do you mean by that?" She asked as she looked between Gerald and Nathan, wondering if they had perhaps had a discussion she wasn’t aware of until she walked in. "Elias or Viktor? Explain what’s happening!"
Nathan saw the look on Gerald’s face, which was basically telling him not to reveal anything, but that wasn’t on Nathan’s schedule. For him to meet either Elias or Viktor as quickly as possible, he needed to do this. He has to give Elias the pills so he won’t end up carrying Viktor’s child for no reason.
’The only child that can grow in my saviour’s belly is mine,’
"So... Viktor is probably somewhere in this house, helping Elias with his heat," he revealed and Gerald gave a long sigh, though he didn’t show it. He was sure that Clara would definitely cause a ruckus. Even after Viktor’s order, telling him to deal with whatever problem that could occur, he wasn’t sure he could deal with it.
’I need to call Sir Luka immediately,’
he thought to himself.
Clara suddenly let out a laugh. Her fingers slipped through her hair as she held her stomach and burst into more laughter. Nathan and Gerald watched her as she continued laughing. It was almost as if she were going insane.
"Did I say something funny?" Nathan asked.
"Oh fuck you did!" She laughed and wiped the tears that rolled down her cheek. The one that was caused by laughing too hard. "So... You’re saying my fiancé is with a man? And... That man turned out to be that dumb Nanny of all people? There’s no way Viktor would be with an Omega!" She yelled.
"Sure, sure... Suit yourself and believe whatever you want," Nathan lifted his hand in mock surrender. He was secretly pissed off that she didn’t believe. "However, you could ask the old guy for the truth,"
"Gerald already mentioned that Viktor left the house without telling him," she shook her head, wearing a mocking smile.
"Right... Such a pleasant lie. Have you confirmed that with Viktor? Or wait... You two aren’t close or in love to have such a discussion," he laughed and Clara frowned.
"I told you to leave, didn’t I?" She asked and he replied...
"And I told you I ain’t leaving until I’ve seen Viktor or Elias. Why don’t you try your bedroom? Or let me guess, you two sleep in different rooms?" He asked and burst into laughter. "Man... Imagine the media getting a hold of this news,"
"Try it and see what I’ll do to you. I could end your life at the snap of my finger,"
"And I could do the same to you without lifting a finger," he replied.
Gerald remained silent.
"I guess I have to prove myself with actions and not just words. You and... Elias, I want you both gone,"
Suddenly, Clara took out her phone and called her father. The phone rang until his deep crooked voice echoed in the room.
"Clara dear..."
"Father..." She called, glaring at Nathan. "Apparently, there’s someone who dares to mock my relationship with Viktor,"
"Who would dare? Is this Viktor’s fault? Do I...?"
"No, father. I just wish for you to get rid of him. I want all traces of him gone from this world," she smirked with her shoulders rising gradually but Nathan didn’t say anything. She remained silent as her father continued speaking. She caught Nathan looking at her and smiled at him.
"Death is knocking on your door, you don’t need to open the door... It’ll break it down and drag you away,"
"So, what’s the bastard’s name?" He asked. She looked at him and realised she didn’t know who he was. She turned to Gerald.
"Who is he?" She asked.
"He’s the youngest son of Raymond Caldwell, Nathan Caldwell," he said.
Clara didn’t need to relay that message to her father because he heard that last name loud and clear.
"Did you hear that, father? Tell me what you want,"
"Clara..." He called her name with a different tone. "Wherever you are... Go down on your knees and beg the person you insulted for forgiveness,"
"What?" She asked.
