Who Brought Him into the Cultivation World?-Chapter 75 - 61: Speak Your Dream

Chapter 75

Chapter 75: Chapter 61: Speak Your Dream
In the Council Hall stood an elderly man with crane-like white hair and chicken-skin wrinkles, appearing to be over seventy years old. His face bore the marks of time, and he wore a simple blue robe. He was currently the Mo Family’s steward, Qiu Yin.
"The handwriting is unmistakable; it’s the Sixth Master’s script." Qiu Yin’s brows were deeply furrowed as well, as he couldn’t fathom who would dare to provoke the Mo Family like this.
Mo Yushu pondered with his brows knitted, and the Council Hall fell into silence for a moment before he slowly raised his head and said, "Old Qiu, please take some family members with you to have a look. Don’t let the Sixth suffer any losses."
Qiu Yin stood there silently for a moment, on the verge of speaking but hesitating.
Mo Yushu looked at him curiously and said, "Why are you so indecisive today? Is there something on your mind?"
After thinking for a moment, Qiu Yin finally spoke up to inquire, "Xiuwen would like to go along, and he asked me to check with you."
"That rascal just got back, and already he’s restless." At the thought of his cousin, Mo Yushu felt a headache coming on.
"Wasn’t he recently tinkering with some long-distance communication mechanism? Has he already grown bored with it?"
Qiu Yin shook his head, his expression somewhat complex, and said, "Master, he actually succeeded. I just tried it, and it actually works."
Mo Yushu was initially pleased, but his expression soon turned stern again as he said, "That rascal has always been unfocused, always obsessed with these unconventional and evil paths."
Qiu Yin sighed softly and couldn’t help but speak, "Master, with no one else here, let me say this: Xiuwen is undoubtedly the most gifted one in the Mo Family in centuries. Pressing him like this will only lead to problems sooner or later."
Could it be that cousin—oh no, Mo Xiuwen—was truly that worthless?
No, only the Mo Family’s upper echelon knew the extent of his talent. The Iron Kite used by the Mo Family for travel was designed by him, and the small boat being constructed outside is publicly attributed to Mo Yushu, but in reality, it was still Mo Xiuwen’s work. Now, he’s even developed long-distance communication.
One could say that many of his designs, if released, would cause a sensation. Yet, the Mo Family had kept him hidden so tightly, leading to his nickname as the ’wastrel of the Mo Family.’
Mo Yushu certainly knew that unrelenting suppression would provoke an even greater backlash. Otherwise, there wouldn’t have been instances of Mo Xiuwen repeatedly running away from the Mo Family.
But...
"Being too clever isn’t necessarily a good thing. Rising to fame too early wouldn’t be beneficial for him. The current Mo Family no longer needs to rely on the reputation of a genius to maintain itself. I just need him to grow steadily without dying prematurely."
Mo Yushu sighed.
"Why not take him out for some air? That rascal mentioned he might design a mechanism to detect Spirit Stones. By then, those few won’t be able to escape."
Qiu Yin mused from the side.
"See, I told you! That troublesome brat needs to be suppressed."
Upon hearing this, Mo Yushu frowned. Listen to his cousin’s words: designing a mechanism to detect Spirit Stones—if this wasn’t mere boasting, and he actually brought it to fruition, how many people would he offend?
By then, if everyone had a detection mechanism and searched the world for Spirit Stone Mines, what would happen to the value of Spirit Stones?
The Sects controlling the Spirit Stone Mines would be desperate. They wouldn’t care if you’re part of the Lower Three Sects or the Upper Three Sects. They’d ensure you could hardly step out the door.
Mo Yushu’s expression shifted unpredictably, and finally, he sighed and said, "If you really want to take him, go ahead. But if he truly creates this thing, remember not to let it spread. Bring it back for us to use."
If possible, it was time for the Mo Family to have its own Spirit Stone Mine.
