Looking at everyone discussing the luck of the ninth army Ryzel couldn’t help but smile.
With the very bad state of the mental sea of Layton Lewis and Mervin he could indeed agree that they were both lucky that for having them as their partners. If they don’t have a high compatibility rate with them then their mental sea wouldn’t have a chance to recover.
However, he couldn’t just say that they were the only lucky ones as the people were discussing. He and Lyre could also say that they were lucky to have Layton Lewis and Mervin as their partners.
"Ryzel, wake up."
After a few hours Layton Lewis came back to their room and accompanied him. He even forced him to sleep for a bit.
"Are we already on Planet 125?" Ryzel asked as soon as he woke up.
"Not, yet. We still have an hour before we reach Planet 125. However, we need to eat already, and you also need to wear your protective clothing," Layton Lewis explained.
"Okay."
Ryzel and Layton Lewis hurriedly ate their meal in the cafeteria together with some soldiers who hadn’t eaten yet.
They should be the last batch of people who haven’t eaten yet as there were only a few who ate in the last hour like them.
After eating hey went back to their room for him to change his clothes.
He wore his military uniform and also his protective clothing. He thought that the protective clothing he would wear would be baggy just like those he had seen in some of the news online.
However, it seemed that they already updated it because the protective clothing he was wearing fits just right.
The headgear he was wearing was also transparent, allowing him to see his surroundings without obstruction.
"Let me check if you are wearing it properly and if it doesn’t have any problems," Layton Lewis said as soon as he came out of the bathroom.
"Ok, there is no problem. However, you should tell me immediately if you felt a change in temperature, or any other environmental change.
If you felt those it means your protective clothing has a problem. You should immediately open your protective cover and tell me about it.
You can open your protective cover as long as you press the blue button on your waist. Remember your protective cover can only last 24 hours, after that it would be ineffective," Mervin explained.
"Can I activate and deactivate my protective cover, anytime?"
"Yes, so if you are in danger don’t forget to press it."
"I see. What about this red button, what does it do?" Ryzel asked as he could see red and blue buttons in his protective belt.
"If you are separated accidentally, you could press that and all of us would receive the signal."
"Oh, this protective clothing really provides comprehensive protection."
With it he doesn’t need to worry too much even if he suddenly encounters something dangerous which is unlikely because he has a lot of protection. However, just in case of an accident he would have insurance.
"You should also take these light signals. Put some in your pockets and the rest in your space," Layton Lewis said while handling him a box of light signals from his space bracelet.
"Where am I going to use this?"
"These light signals could be used as an emergency signal in case the communication signal fails, or your communication device was destroyed or malfunctioning.
The red-light signal means you are in a dangerous situation, the blue light signal means you are currently safe, and the green light means you are in a complicated situation.
You just need to press the button on it and the signal flare would light up."
"Okay, I understand," Ryzel said and separated some of the light signals to put some in his pocket. He picked three of each color and put the rest in his space.
"Okay, let’s go. Remember your safety is the most important thing don’t forget to always protect yourself," Layton Lewis said while holding his hands leading him out of their room.
"I know, don’t worry," Ryzel said while following Layton Lewis.
As soon as they were near the entrance, he could see that all the soldiers and other staff were there.
"Is everything ready?" Layton Lewis asked.
"Yes, General. Everything is already prepared." Lieutenant General Ren said.
"Then, Lieutenant General Ren, lead everyone to where you discovered the herb," Layton Lewis commanded.
"Yes, general." Lieutenant General Ren said then he turned to face the others.
"Everyone, please follow me closely," Lieutenant General Ren said with a smile and started going out of the battleship.
"Where did our spaceship land is it near the place where Lieutenant General Ren found the herbs?" Ryzel asked while gliding beside Layton Lewis.
"We landed 5 kilometers aways from where the place where Ren found the herbs. We should be able to reach it in 10 minutes."
All of them were using gliding boots so they could travel very fast without any delay.
If only the sentinels or only the people with C level physique were in the mission, they might have reached the place within 5 minutes without even using gliders.
Unfortunately, they were with guides and other normal people who had lower physiques.
They could only match their speed with them so they could only travel longer.
If only the spaceship also had a landing space in the place where Lieutenant General Ren found the herb, then they don’t even need to travel.
"Oh, then we might be able to have the herbs very soon," Ryzel said with a slight smile.
"As long as some of the herbs is still present then we could indeed start gathering them and you could also start studying them.
"Yes, I hope there are still some of the herbs there."
With the sample he had they already learned that the herb could grow all year round as it is extremely resistant to heat and cold. However, it had already been three years since Lieutenant General Ren came to Planet 125.
They can’t be sure that the plants would still be growing there because there were a lot of factors that could affect its growth.
They can’t even be sure that it wasn’t damaged by natural disasters, some animals, or even Zergs. They could only hope that the herb is tenacious enough to survive.
While they were gliding towards their destination Ryzel observed the surroundings they were passing by.
The place they stopped the battleship was a plain without many trees in its surroundings. As they kept travelling Ryzel knew that they were going deeper into the mountains. The farther they go the darker the surroundings become.
The trees in the forests were all very tall and lush. Only small rays of sunlight could pass through their blockade.
Thankfully the gear he was wearing was adjusting his sight so he could still perfectly see what their surrounding looked like.
Ryzel could see that the forest remained untouched as all the trees were very tall and thick and all the other plants also looked very lush.
However, he could see that most of the plants they passed by were all poisonous plants and only a few could be said to be harmless.
He also saw some herbs he had learned about, but he didn’t bother stopping as they still haven’t been able to reach their goal. He could always stop by on their way back to the battleship.
Ryzel also heard a few sounds coming from some animals, but he hadn’t seen any of them.
All of them should have hidden away after seeing a large group of strangers coming to their habitat.
They kept going upwards until he could see a large clearing ahead while also hearing Lieutenant General Ren from their communication device.
"Attention, everyone we are already nearby. So, be mindful of your gliding speed."
He could see that there was clearing ahead without any trees blocking the way. He was wondering why it was still dark even though it didn’t have any trees.
However, when he arrived at the edge of the clearing, he could finally understand.
It was not that there were no trees, it was just a sing tree covering a lot of areas because of how big it is.
Ryzel was amazed by the size of the tree, that’s why he didn’t pay much attention to the other things until he heard a lot of excited voices in the communicator.
"Wow, there are a lot of herbs here!"
"Look! The herbs we are looking for is indeed here!"
"Oh, there are a lot of them."
"It seems that the herb still grew into a place with a lot of nutrients."
With all the noise in his communicator he finally snapped out of his amazement and observed where they were.
With the big tree blocking a lot of other trees from its space, a lot of plants grew under it.
