After Breaking Up, I Married the General-Chapter 130 - 129: Another large-scale attack of the Zergs

Chapter 130

Chapter 130: Chapter 129: Another large-scale attack of the Zergs
"Lewis, I’m sorry, but you need to quicky come back to the ninth army. A large scale of Zergs were detected. We should be engaging in combat in 18 hours."
"We are already on the way back, but it is estimated that we will be able to get back in 23 hours. You will be commanding the battle before I come back."
Just a few hours after they decided to come back, Mervin called Layton Lewis about the large-scale attack from the Zergs. Fortunately, they were already on their way back to the ninth army.
Ryzel saw Layton adjust the speed of the spaceship to the highest before sitting next to him.
"Ryzel, go and rest for the time being. After we go back, we will be very busy," Layton said.
"OK, then I will go and rest. You should go and rest too," Ryzel said and went back to their room to rest.
As a guide, Ryzel won’t need to fight, but fighting a large scale of Zergs would surely take many days, and a lot of potions would be consumed at that time.
So, as a potion maker, he will surely be very busy making additional potions for the ninth army.
They already had a lot of reserved potions, but as long as they started the battle, the consumption of potions was very high.
Potion makers like him needed to continuously make potions for the soldiers that were fighting, so he indeed needed to rest while he could.
As the general of the army, Layton would surely go and lead the fight against the Zergs; that’s why Ryzel hoped that Layton would rest first.
Even though Layton is a high-level sentinel, he should still rest first because they would surely continue fighting nonstop without a lot of time to rest.
The soldiers might routinely go and exchange positions with others so they would have a longer rest time, but according to the previous battle he saw, Layton and his lieutenant generals would rarely go and rest.
It was also the same with some of those sentinels that had S-level physiques. They rarely go to rest and continuously fight against the Zergs.
He also asked about it from Mervin when he watched the battle last time and observed that most high-ranking sentinels rarely go to rest.
Mervin explained that those with higher physiques would always stay on the battlefield longer because they were stronger than the others, so they could tolerate high-intensity combat for a long time, unlike those with lower levels.
They also knew that they were the only ones who could fight the stronger Zergs on the battlefield. If they left, then it means a lot of casualties for their side.
There are a large number of zergs, so the proportion of stronger zergs was still a lot compared to the number of higher-ranking sentinels, so once someone left it would give more burden to those soldiers who were already fighting a lot of zergs.
Mervin said that most of those high-ranking sentinels would only rest a little when the battleships were bombarding the stronger zergs.
So, Ryzel hoped that Layton would also rest because he would surely stay on the battlefield for a long time without much time to rest.
Even if Layton is a 3S-level sentinel, he still needed to have a rest so as not to strain his mental sea.
He had been cleaning Layton’s mental sea for a long time, but there are still a lot of pollutants in it that haven’t been cleaned yet because of how wide his mental sea is.
Layton’s mental sea was calm because of him, but if too many pollutants entered his mental sea again, it would surely stir those pollutants that were restrained by his mental powers.
After the battle was over, he would surely need to reclean the areas he had already cleaned up in Layton’s mental sea.
Ryzel rested for a bit, then started making potions when he had enough rest and then rested again only after a few hours of making potions so that he would have enough strength later on.
He reminded Layton to rest again, but Layton only rested with him for a while before continuously monitoring the changes in the frontlines.
Instead of 23 hours, they arrived at the battlefield in 20 hours. Layton used up the spaceship’s energy reserves and let the spaceship drive at a faster speed that consumed a lot of energy.
As soon as they arrived at the battlefield, Ryzel could immediately see a lot of Zergs swarming in the frontlines. He couldn’t even see the end of the Zergs that were swarming.
Layton drove the spaceship to one of their main battleships and entered.
As soon as they entered the battleship, they were immediately greeted with a very busy scene.
Everyone was doing something and going somewhere here and there.
They directly went to the control room of the ship to look for Mervin. Mervin was busy coordinating the battle.
All the people in control were busy ing the condition of the battlefield in different areas.
"How’s the situation?" Layton Lewis asked.
"The situation is still the same. We are still repelling the Zergs; so far there’s no great damage on either side," Mervin said.
The two of them talked for a while before Layton Lewis said that he would go out.
"You’re going now?" Ryzel asked while looking at Layton.
"Yes, I need to go now."
"OK, be careful," Ryzel said.
Layton Lewis gave instructions to Mervin and also some instructions to his bodyguards that came over after they arrived at the control room.
After saying goodbye, Layton Lewis went out of the battleship and led his team out to kill the Zergs.
After Ryzel saw Layton’s mecha going to where the Zergs were, he also went to his laboratory to start making potions.
He needed to make more stabilizers for the sentinel.
There would surely be a lot of sentinels that would be on the verge of mania or would be in their mania because of the war.
The potion was just in production, so they don’t have a lot of stock compared to the common potions that they had.
They had supply support from the federation for the common potion that they needed, so they still have more stocks of it, unlike the stabilizer that he had just released.
The stabilizers he made were effective for sentinels that were ranked below S, which means they were effective for a lot of sentinels.
It was only in production for a short time, so the federation doesn’t have enough supplies yet because a lot of sentinels needed it.
The sentinels that weren’t S-level were more numerous than S-level sentinels, so the need for the stabilizers still wasn’t met even though a lot of guides were already making them.
Only the guides in the ninth army made the stabilizers in addition to himself. So, the supply surely wouldn’t be enough for the thousands of soldiers that they had.
Ryzel started making stabilizers as soon as he entered his laboratory.
He didn’t make potions for a long time, so he enjoyed making potions and didn’t stop until he heard his light brain ringing non-stop.
He hadn’t heard it when it was ringing for the first time because he was very focused on making potions.
But it continued ringing, so he finally heard after it continued ringing for a long time.
He forgot that he deactivated Star’s notification because he didn’t want to be disturbed for the past few days.
So, he didn’t hear any voice notification, and it was only ringing, which meant someone called him three times continuously, so his light brain started ringing to notify him.
Ryzel opened his light brain and saw that the caller was Lyre.
"Hello, Lyre, what is it?"
"Geez, I heard from Mervin that you guys are back. I know you will be busy making potions, so I am only disturbing you now that it’s already dinnertime.
I called you five times, but you didn’t answer. I know you are still making some potions. You should stop first and have dinner with me," Lyre said.
After Ryzel heard what Lyre said, he finally realized that he was also hungry.
"Ok, where are you?" Ryzel asked.
"I’m in the cafeteria. What do you want to eat? I’ll bring it with me. Let’s have dinner in your break room," Lyre said.
"Just bring me the same as what you will get," Ryzel said.
Most of the food in the cafeteria for guides tastes okay, so Ryzel just asked Lyre to get whatever he gets because he doesn’t mind eating anything else. The taste wouldn’t be as good as Layton’s anyway.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, just choose the same as what you will get," Ryzel said again.
"OK, wait for a bit, I’ll just go and get our food," Lyre said and hanged up the call.
After Lyre hung up, Ryzel arranged all the things he was using to make potions.
He also arranged all the potions he made into a space bracelet so that he could give it to the guides in charge of taking care of the sentinels.
