Chapter 154

Chapter 154: Chapter 153: In the federation 6
"Dispatch immediate retrieval of the mechas," Mervin ordered, then paused a bit before he continued.
"And inject ZERO potion to the 2 S-level sentinels as soon as possible before they could go berserk.
Is Lieutenant General Paul near Area E674?"
"He isn’t, but he is already rushing to the area as soon as the alert came."
"Okay, tell him not to go to the center of the area but standby near it to deal with the high-level zergs in that area.
Dispatch more cameras in Area E674 and its nearby areas. Focus on monitoring all the high-level zergs in Area E674 to observe anything odd about them.
Order all the S-level sentinels near Area E674 to retreat and dispatch more A-level sentinels in those areas to deal with the high-level zergs.
Ready the high-level weapons in the ship and let all the controllers be ready to kill higher-level zergs in Area E674 and its nearby areas.
I’ll be in the control room in a minute," Mervin said and closed his light brain.
"I’m sorry, I have to go back to the control room again and can’t accompany you," Mervin said and kissed Lyre’s forehead.
"I know."
Mervin kissed Lyre’s forehead again, then looked at him seriously.
"Lyre, be ready. Don’t use your mental powers for the time being and prepare your rejuvenation potions.
If things become worse and Paul can’t handle it as he is alone outside, then I have to go out too because currently I’m the only 2S-level sentinel that also has a high-level guide aside from Paul.
If I have to go out, you also have to go out with me."
As soon as he finished speaking, Mervin could see that the corner of Lyre’s eyes was starting to redden, but Lyre still said, "Okay. I’ll prepare well."
"Don’t worry too much. Even if I have to go out, I won’t let anything happen to you. Don’t forget to check your protective clothing. I’ll be going first," Mervin said and kissed the corner of Lyre’s eyes before going out to the control room.
The situation had gone bad, so Mervin couldn’t even comfort Lyre well because he had to hurry back to the control room to handle the situation.
When he arrived at the control room, he immediately went to check the situation of the battle outside.
"How’s the retrieval of the sentinels in Area E674?"
"Most of the sentinels were nearly out of the area," Lieutenant General Zam answered.
"Are there still S-level sentinels that were still awake in Area E674?"
"Yes, there are still 3 S-level sentinels in Area E674 that have their guides with them.
They’re still currently retreating with the support of the A-level sentinels that were near the area."
While talking to Zam, Mervin was also checking the cameras that were showing Area E674 and the other areas near it.
There were a lot of high-level zergs in it, but they currently couldn’t see anything different from the various angles that were being taken by the cameras.
So, Mervin immediately decided to take down the high-level zergs in that area first to prevent another triggering of mass mania, so he ordered,
"As soon as the sentinels are out of the range of the high-level zergs, immediately fire at the high-level zergs in Area E674."
They needed to kill a lot of the high-level zergs or kill them all if they could.
But Mervin knew that the weapons they had didn’t have enough energy and lethality to kill all the high-level zergs in the area, but they still had to kill as many as they could.
They had already used a lot of their ship weapons as a support fire in the past battles especially when Lewis and Ryzel disappeared so they don’t have a lot of energy for a lot of high energy bombardment.
So Mervin connected the communicator to Paul and ordered,
"As soon as we finish firing, you have to take out all or most of the high-level zergs that are still in that area."
Paul immediately agreed, so they talked about the trajectory where they would bombard the high-level zergs so that Paul would have a general idea where he could kill more zergs that were escaping from the bombardment of their weapons.
After the sentinels in Area E674 were already far from where most of the high-level zergs were, Mervin ordered them to fire.
The weapons they had had strong firepower, so as soon as they fired, a lot of high-level zergs were immediately gone.
They continued until most of the high-level zergs in Area E674 were gone before they had to stop because they didn’t have enough energy to continue firing their weapons.
Then Paul also began cleaning up the other high-level zergs in the area, but even though he and the A-level sentinels were there to clean up the zergs, some high-level zergs still managed to escape.
Paul wanted to continue chasing all the high-level zergs, but a simultaneous mania was triggered again.
Paul and the A-level sentinels that were there were affected, so they couldn’t continue chasing the high-level zergs any longer.
With another mass mania, Mervin had to let others retrieve those that were affected again so that they could immediately be given stabilizers.
As for Paul, his partner was already ready, as apparently he had begun monitoring the mental sea of Paul as soon as he started chasing the high-level zergs, so as soon as he saw that the pollutants in Paul’s mind began to stir, he immediately pacified them.
So Paul’s mania wasn’t triggered as it was quelled immediately.
After the high-level zergs escaped again, Mervin let them monitor those zergs because he was finally sure that there was a problem with those groups of zergs.
However, the group of high-level zergs was obviously different from the ones that Lewis had been chasing before, but they still triggered mass mania.
Mervin had studied the video of the high-level zergs that Lewis had been chasing before, so he was confident that he could recognize them again.
It was also the same with the other sentinels in the ninth army.
