After Breaking Up, I Married the General-Chapter 168 - 167: Staying on the unknown planet 4

Chapter 168

Chapter 168: Chapter 167: Staying on the unknown planet 4
Ryzel seriously looked at Layton and said, "But I think you’re still a bit of a fool."
Layton chuckled and said, "I don’t mind being one as long as you can be a bit better."
"But anyway, I remembered that you said you stopped monitoring me, but how did Mervin actually mention that I needed someone to marry?"
"Mervin is a very perceptive person. He certainly noticed something wrong after I went a bit crazy when I found out you were in a relationship with someone.
He definitely went around investigating the cause of my actions, and even if he didn’t mention anything to me, I knew that he was actually testing me sometimes to confirm his suspicions.
And he certainly mentioned the gossip about you as one of his tests.
Of course, even if he wasn’t testing me, he would probably still inform me about your affairs because of what happened to the Ninth Army because of you.
But if he wasn’t testing me, he probably wouldn’t mention it to me immediately.
"I’m still grateful for his perceptiveness and for testing me at that time. If he hadn’t mentioned it to me immediately, then I probably wouldn’t have managed to arrive on time.
He even fought the Capital Star guards to stall time for me."
"Then, I think I should give him more gifts after we return later."
"No need, I already gave a lot of things to him."
"Oh, then I’ll just give some gifts to Lyre that Mervin would definitely like," Ryzel said with a smile.
"Anyway, now that my curiosity about what happened to me is finally satisfied, I think we better go out so that we’ll have more time to get more plants before it gets dark."
"Ok, then you should wear your protective clothes."
"I know," Ryzel said and brought out his protective clothes from his space.
While changing into his protective clothes, he also saw Layton changing into his military uniform that provides basic protection.
"I really envy sentinels like you who have such high-level physiques."
Ryzel had to wear a lot of thick protective clothing, unlike Layton who was only wearing something for basic protection, because with his physique he could still survive outside even if they were in a poisonous area.
Layton just chuckled and then helped him set up his protective hat.
Layton hadn’t buttoned his shirt yet, so Ryzel also helped Layton button it up.
After both of them had finished changing their clothes, they checked the protective cover around the tent, and Layton added a new camera outside to watch over it before they left.
Ryzel wanted to roam around the forest that Layton had already checked, so since the area was still very big, they didn’t walk but used a small hover car that could only fit two people.
The hover car was small enough to roam inside the forest without any problems, so they opted to use it.
Ryzel was also planning to get some plants, but he still decided to look around the whole forest that they were actually in.
So he let Layton control the hover car up high so that he could see the entire forest.
They hadn’t woken up when they were falling to the planet, so Ryzel hadn’t seen the place where they were from the air.
While they were in the air, Ryzel could see that the place they had landed in was a mountain range, and they were only in one of its tallest mountains.
Aside from the place they were in, there were two more mountains that were as tall as it.
And there were still a lot of mountains around the 3 tallest mountains.
The mountain range was thoroughly lush as it was all covered with trees and plants.
And outside the mountain range, it was indeed surrounded by vast plains.
The mountain range they were in was currently at the center of the vast plains that they could see in the distance.
After seeing that they were indeed far from the plains, Ryzel decided to just visit the mountain range that they were in until the river that was separating the mountain they were on from the next highest mountain beside them.
Layton decided that they should start there first so that it would be easier for them to go back to their tent if they started at the farthest point.
So, they lowered their hover car in that direction.
While he was very high up in the air, the river looked small, but while getting nearer and nearer to it, he could see that the river was actually wide and had a strong current.
"Do you think there are any fish in this river?" Ryzel asked while looking at the river, after remembering that Layton didn’t have a lot of fresh ingredients for his meals.
"There are, but if you’re interested in them, I’ll have to check them first to see if they’re not poisonous and if you can eat them."
Ryzel looked at Layton.
"Oh, I forgot that with your keen eyes you can actually see very far.
Then you should really get some of those fish even if I can’t eat them because you can probably eat them.
Of course, it’s also very good if I can eat them."
"Then, let’s land here. There are no animals near here for the time being. I’ll go out first to check more. I’ll come back to pick you up."
"Ok." Ryzel said with a nod and saw Layton move away in just a second.
Layton went out for just two minutes and was already back again. Their physiques are really good, as they could immediately cover a far distance without even exerting a lot of effort.
"I’ve already checked the areas around here. There are no poisonous animals and insects here. And the device also didn’t detect any plants that are too poisonous.
You can stay near the river while I catch some fish. Remember not to go too far, just stay within 50 meters of the river. With such a short distance, I can rush to you within milliseconds."
