Chapter 171: Chapter 170: Staying on the unknown planet 7
"Indeed. Since it has low pollutants, the other fishes would probably be the same as they’re in the same environment. So, there’s probably some fish with lower levels of energy that you could eat."
So, Layton continued dealing with the fishes that he had caught yesterday, and Ryzel actually saw 30 kinds of fish. It seemed that the river had a lot of things that could nourish 30 kinds of fishes without any problems at all.
As Layton said, since the fishes were living in the same environment, their pollutant index was also the same as the first fish.
The pollutants of the other fishes were also very low; however, in the end, Ryzel could only eat 2 kinds of fish as the others all had high levels of energy which weren’t suitable for him.
And their texture was also too hard according to what was detected, so he couldn’t eat them at all except for 2—and another 2 kinds of fish that he could at least have a taste of as they weren’t too hard even if they had high levels of energy content.
Well, having 2 kinds of fish that he could eat out of 30 was already very good because most of the time, if it’s only out of thirty choices, there would be nothing suitable for guides at all.
Since there were 2 kinds of fish that were suitable for him, Layton had already decided that he would cook some of them for their dinner.
Layton had even started cooking earlier than before because he said that he had to see what cooking method would be the best for the 2 kinds of fish that he would prepare for him.
Since he had nothing to do for the time being, Ryzel also joined him in the kitchen, but he didn’t disturb Layton who was preparing their meals because he only planned to make a simple dessert for them.
Layton’s cooking was very delicious, so Ryzel didn’t have any plans to take over his cooking job at all.
He only decided to make an additional dessert for them because he really didn’t have anything to do for the time being.
If they were in the federation, he would probably be scrolling different news to get some updates on what was happening around.
But because his light brain wasn’t connected to the main brain of the federation anymore, it couldn’t access any of it aside from those that he had already accessed before.
So he could only make some dessert so that he could spend some of his time instead of just watching Layton move around by himself.
Layton also didn’t stop him, knowing that he was a bit bored, so he let him move around instead of stopping him and doing it for him like when they were in the federation.
Layton had been pampering him too much and was even doing all the cooking instead of just ordering it or letting others cook for him.
Even when it came to making dessert, Layton was also the one making them himself.
So, Ryzel really had nothing to do in the kitchen as even the clean up would be done by Layton or the robot cleaners in the house.
So, it’s the first time Ryzel has made some dessert after a long time again.
The next day, Ryzel and Layton would still linger on their bed for their morning sessions, but it was surely shorter than the past days because Ryzel wanted to have more time for research.
Ryzel started being busy with the plants that he had gathered before, while Layton also looked for something to do.
Layton went out of their tent and started collecting samples of soil—collecting different samples of soil, water, and air content.
Of course, since Layton couldn’t go out for too long in case something happened, Layton only roamed around the mountain range.
He was also carrying a detector around him to detect if there was a source of energy in the mountain range that they could use for their spaceship, Storm, and other equipment.
Layton had already explained to him that they indeed had a lot of energy that they could use, but it was certainly not enough if they were really very far from the federation.
So, they had to look for a source of energy if they wanted to go back to the federation.
The more energy they could find, the better their situation would be, as a lot of the things they had were powered by energy.
If they lacked energy, they would have a harder time.
They didn’t even have to find the exact same energy as the one they were using, but at least something quite similar so that they could successfully convert it to the energy they needed.
If the energy source was too different, then they also couldn’t use it because they didn’t have proper equipment to convert such energy.
Besides, converting such energy would sometimes take too much time, so it wasn’t an ideal source for them at all.
Well, even if they couldn’t find a source of energy similar to the one they needed on the planet, they could still go to other planets to find some.
However, it would really be better if they managed to find some energy on the planet that they were on.
So, Layton had to take the energy detector with him while getting samples of things around the mountain range that they were in.
After getting back, Layton also had to run the things he got with the data analyzers that Ryzel had brought.
Fortunately, Ryzel had more than one data analyzer because he was used to using more of them, especially when he had to analyze a lot of things.
So, there were still a lot of analyzers that Layton could also use to run the tests for the soil, water, and air around the mountain range.
So, the two of them ended up doing data work in the afternoon.
Ryzel was busy with the analysis of plants while Layton was busy with the analysis of the soil and other things that he collected.
