After Breaking Up, I Married the General-Chapter 172 - 171: Staying on the unknown planet 8

Chapter 172

Chapter 172: Chapter 171: Staying on the unknown planet 8
However, even after a month of data collection around the mountain range they were in, they still hadn’t discovered anything wrong with the land, air, water, or anything else around them.
They only found out that the place they were in was really very suitable for humans to live in.
In fact, there were also very little pollutants around, so it was even a very good place for guides and sentinels to live in.
If the place they were in wasn’t very far from the Federation, then it was actually a very good planet for a sentinel retirement or recovery center.
Every place had pollutants for sentinels, but some places still had lower pollutants.
Most of the habitable planets in the Federation had lower pollutants compared to other planets, that’s why they were developed as planets for humans.
The place they were in had even lower pollutant levels compared to Planet Aeria, which had the lowest pollutant level in the Federation.
It was indeed a good discovery, because it meant to Layton that there were probably more things he could study around them.
Ryzel hadn’t worried about the pollutants entering Layton’s mental sea because he was with Layton, and he was cleaning the pollutants in Layton’s mental sea three or four times a day.
He was really cleaning up the pollutants in Layton’s mental sea faster than before.
So, he wasn’t worried about the level of pollutants on the planet they had landed on at all.
Even if the pollutant level was high, it couldn’t have much effect on Layton as he was cleaning his mental sea every day.
So after knowing that the pollutant level around them was very low, the first thing he thought of was his food source.
Discovering the level of pollutants around the place they were in was really good, however, the level of pollutants wasn’t related to the capability of plants that were supposed to grow in different environments thriving in one place.
They even gave more focus to the forest they were living in, as Layton was collecting data twice a day to observe it more and see if there were any changes that were hard to notice. However, they still hadn’t found any possible reason yet.
Layton even dug the ground to check the soil further, however, they still found nothing.
They still didn’t find anything even after a month, but they still planned to continue monitoring it.
However, they planned to reduce their data collection to only every three days while they were still staying in the mountain range.
They reduced the frequency because they hadn’t discovered anything, and more importantly, because Layton would also be busy doing something else.
After a month, Storm’s self-repair finally reached 50%, so Layton could also start changing and repairing the outer parts of Storm.
They had just visited Storm, and Storm had indeed been able to properly show which parts of itself needed repairing or changing.
It even showed the proper sequence of what Layton had to repair first so that there would be no problem later on.
Layton checked all the parts that he had to repair and change.
Thankfully, all the parts that had to be changed had spare parts, and he also had the necessary things to repair the parts that needed repairs.
So Layton would be focusing more on repairing Storm rather than going around, gathering and analyzing data.
"How much time do you need to completely repair and change all the outer parts of Storm?"
"I can do it in two weeks, but we’re not in a rush since Storm still needs another month to completely repair itself. So I’ll complete the outer part repairs in three or four weeks."
When they went to see Storm, they learned how much damage it had taken, and according to its summary, its recovery time would still take time even with Layton repairing its outer parts because it was really badly damaged.
So its self-repair time wouldn’t decrease much unlike what they had guessed.
"Isn’t it better to just finish repairing the outer parts of Storm even if it couldn’t really shorten its self-repair time?"
"Since there’s no need to rush it, I won’t rush doing it. I still want to have more time with you," Layton said and then gave him a brief kiss.
In the past month, Layton had really stuck to what they had agreed upon, and he was only researching plants for five or six hours.
He would spend two or three hours researching in the morning and always spend three hours researching in the afternoon.
It had become part of their daily routine to start their day with morning exercises in bed, so he would only work for two or three hours in the morning depending on how long they spent their time in their morning exercises.
There were a lot of plants that he had to research and record, so even though it was really pleasurable while doing it and relaxing after they finished, he still insisted on doing it just once or twice so that he would have three hours of research time in the morning.
But because of it, after their lunch or before having lunch, Layton would also insist on having another pleasurable time with each other.
Then they would also spend more time with each other at night before sleeping.
So, in the past month, they were really working at a relaxed pace as they were only spending five or six hours on their work and spending the rest of their time with each other.
Which was really unlike their schedule in the Federation, where they spent most of their time working for eight or nine hours and even longer if needed.
Their work hours in the past month were really the ideal work hours for most of those who had a lot of things to be busy with in the Federation.
Ryzel also didn’t try to add more hours to the six hours that they had talked about and just enjoyed spending more time with Layton, because they had indeed been too busy before to spend more time with each other even though they had just married for less than a year.
