All The Female Disciples Want To Kill Me-Chapter 526 - 310 Brother~_1

Chapter 526

Chapter 526: Chapter 310 Brother~_1
The two of them looked at each other, wordless.
The Empress’s phoenix eyes opened. Her breath quickened, her eyes darted about, and her cheeks flushed red.
That coquettish ’brother’ she’d uttered indeed made her feel incredibly shy and embarrassed.
However, it was quite clear that Su Bei wasn’t interested in her coquetry. With long strides, he walked towards the southern chamber.
THUD, THUD, THUD—
Su Bei looked somewhat anxious as his fingers rapped on the door of the southern chamber.
This is bad,
he thought.
This misunderstanding is huge and must be cleared up. If rumors spread overnight that Elder Su fancies other married women, or worse, that I’d abandon my devoted wife for one... my lifelong reputation would be ruined in an instant! And with Lan Bao’er’s jealous nature, she’d definitely latch onto this and not let go.
Lin Jinyu’s phoenix eyes watched the scene unfold. She let out a chuckle, one slender, jade-like leg crossed over the other, her chin propped in her hand as if she were watching an exciting play. She observed Su Bei, who had suddenly become flustered.
"Hey! Empress," Su Bei said, exasperated, "I’m helping you out here; you can’t just burn the bridge after crossing it! You started all this; you can’t just irresponsibly wash your hands of it like this... Dan Wulan is naturally prone to jealousy, isn’t very magnanimous, and has a contrary temperament. With you doing this... what do you expect me to do?"
Su Bei, seeing he couldn’t get Dan Wulan’s firmly shut door to open and not wanting to force his way in, turned back. He looked at Queen Lin, who was clearly enjoying the show, and felt a surge of annoyance.
Su Bei admitted to himself that he didn’t harbor any particular designs on Lin Jinyu.
But I’m no saint, after all,
he thought.
Faced with such a nation-toppling beauty, one who also possesses certain... captivating attributes, if I could remain completely unfazed and stop my thoughts from straying into improper territory... I’d seriously wonder if I were as impotent as the Eastern Emperor.
Lin Jinyu blinked, then stretched languidly. Under the moonlight, her body formed a graceful arc, her figure as exquisitely curved as a gourd, her cherry-red lips slightly parted as she spoke,
"’Elder Su says I caused all this trouble?’ Lin Jinyu drawled. ’Very well then. In that case, I suppose I’ll have to tell the truth: Elder Su coveted my beauty and, unable to control himself, forced his way in...’"
Su Bei was speechless and held out a hand toward her. "Empress, stop."
Su Bei’s emotions were in turmoil, a thousand words seeming to catch in his throat. He took a deep breath and asked, "Queen Lin, what exactly are you trying to do? You said you wanted to know why the Eastern Emperor wasn’t interested in you, and I analyzed it for you. You wanted to learn how to seduce the Eastern Emperor, and I taught you that too..."
Seeing Su Bei’s aggrieved expression, a smile touched Lin Jinyu’s lips. So, this man who feared neither heaven nor earth also had his weaknesses. Her eyelashes fluttered, and her voice carried a hint of languor as she said,
"’Alright, Elder Su. It’s not out of the question for me to help you clarify things,’ she purred. ’You’re planning to stay in South City for the next few days without leaving, correct?’"
Su Bei nodded with a hint of reluctance.
Lin Jinyu stood up, looked at him, and continued, "’In that case, how about this: starting today, you must come here every day to teach me how to quickly make the Eastern Emperor’s eyes light up when he sees me. As for the duration, it won’t take up too much of your time. How about two hours each day? If you agree, your two prior instances of improper behavior will be completely forgiven. Of course, I know this condition may not seem fair to Elder Su. Therefore, I can also agree to one request from you. As long as it’s within my power, I will grant it. Elder Su, what do you say?’"
She finished with a beaming smile, one finger, adorned with crimson nail polish, playfully tapping her chin. Her tone, however, lacked the arrogance her expression might have suggested, carrying instead a hint of negotiation.
Su Bei’s expression flickered. Then, with a long sigh, he shot her an annoyed glance.
He muttered under his breath, "Now I finally get why the Eastern Emperor won’t touch you. So exasperating..."
Lin Jinyu’s brows knitted together, her voice instantly rising in pitch as she glanced sharply at Su Bei. "What are you muttering about over there, Elder Su? If you don’t want to agree, then don’t. I won’t force you. It seems I’ll have to have a good talk with the Eastern Emperor about... certain things."
Su Bei instantly deflated. The Eastern Emperor had treated him very well; he didn’t want this woman’s provocations to cause any rift in their relationship. And, when it came down to it, he had indeed been the one to act ’improperly’ first.
"’I agree to the Empress’s terms,’ Su Bei conceded. ’I will come here at this time every day.’"
A smile touched Lin Jinyu’s lips, and she nodded. "That’s more like it."
Then, she rose and walked over to the southern chamber, her fingertips rapping lightly on the door.
TAP, TAP, TAP—
Su Bei watched her, shrugged, and pouted. "It’s useless. If knocking worked, I’d have..."
Before he could finish his words.
CREAK—
The door opened.
A moment later, Dan Wulan poked her head out. On her usually expressionless face, an almost unprecedented smile appeared. "Oh, it’s the Empress! Please, come in and sit down."
Lin Jinyu was momentarily startled but quickly put on a warm smile, taking Dan Wulan’s small hand. "Miss Dan, we meet again! How have you been feeling lately?"
Dan Wulan used a slender hand to smooth back a few stray white hairs from her forehead, tucking them behind her ear. The gesture held an unexpected touch of gentleness.
