Chapter 25: Chapter 25- Peaceful conversation
With the blue flame surrounding his gauntlets, Thomas dashed forward at lightning speed. He launched a punch straight to the black Knight’s chest, his fist melting the armor.
The knight instantly collapsed and fell to the ground. Thomas snorted and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
He turned off the mana from his hand and walked toward his friends. "What’s up?"
"I have something to tell you guys." Dante said, looking around the hallway.
His
eyes
didn’t show any anomaly but he didn’t dare to relax a little. He sat down on the floor and started explaining the dream he encountered.
Of course, he omitted a few violence he infected onto Fake Julius. He didn’t want to be seen as a ruthless monster.
The two friends listened without interrupting.
"So you are attacked by some monster?" Thomas said.
"I think so but it is definitely intelligent." Dante added.
"Tell me how you managed to see through Fake Julius." Julius asked, his eyes showed visible frustration.
"Well, from the moment you entered into the dungeon your movements have been calm and sharp at the same time. And you easily managed to pass the second stage even with my guide." Dante said his observation.
He suspected that Julius’s movement was linked to his martial skill. Ever since the fight with goblin boss, Julius became more sharp in his eyes.
Julius nodded. "My basic swordsmanship skill evolved into a new one. It is called Advanced swordsmanship. It strengthened my awareness."
"I got attacked in my dream because of that. I don’t know what that entity plans to do but you guys should be careful." Dante gave a warning.
"Alright, come on let’s go. We need to leave this maze." Thomas said.
They all went to the previous area and started packing their things and moved ahead. This time, Dante planned out a metal image of the map. He didn’t draw on the ground anymore.
Because he felt like the entity was watching him somewhere.
As they drove farther deep into the maze, the black knight appeared more. They encountered a few knights every turn.
But because of repeated fighting, Thomas and Julius became more proficient in killing the knights.
Dante didn’t help much in the fights because his mana reserve was limited. He tried to absorb the mana without consuming tainted parts but it was inefficient.
’Tier 3 won’t need to worry about the tainted mana.’ Dante thought, recalling the content of the tier 3 manual he read.
He looked at Julius killing the final knight with his longsword.
Julius seemed to transform from a novice with a sword to master. There was no unnecessary movement in Julius, every strike was precise and some strike delivered in a snake like pattern. No doubt, he picked up from the goblin boss.
Facing Julius was like facing a deathly snake that has the ability to kill you with one strike.
Thomas also improved a lot during this time. His blue flame became more refined and he incorporated wind mana to maximize the penetration.
Now, his punch could do serious damage to the knight’s armor.
The only one not improving in this group was Dante. He was useless.
Sure, he fired the mana bolt precisely but it only managed to slow down.
He didn’t know he could kill the knight without
Zero-Point destruction.
Dante muttered silently. "Status."
Name- Dante
Tier- Tier 2 human.
Bloodline- Sage beyond the end.

He quickly scanned the list and let out a sigh. He couldn’t even train his mana.
Just as the fight finished, the world around him vanished.
Dante found himself standing in the darkness. He frowned, looking around with his eyes.
Then the darkness crumbled and the previous hallway appeared. His
eyes
didn’t notice anything abnormal.
Dante grabbed his axe and remained alert. He was alone in the hallway.
’Staying here is not a good choice.’ He thought and began to move ahead.
After walking for an hour, he found the black door similar to the ones he saw at the end of the second stage.
He composed himself and opened the door. Inside was a lavish room, he only saw in a movie.
The room was sealed from the outside world as there were no such things called windows. The white light came from the mana stone embedded in the corner of the room.
In the middle of the room was a man sitting on a wooden chair, drinking a cup of tea. The man wore thin glasses and waved at Dante.
The man was plainly normal. His mana was almost non-existent according to his eyes. The man signalled Dante to sit.
Dante closed the door and sat on the chair.
"Tea or coffee." The man said, lifting up his glasses.
"I am not thirsty." Dante said coldly.
"Oh, every man is thirsty for something." The man replied casually.
Dante looked around and glanced at the man. "So why did you invite me to your dream?"
The man nodded in understanding and smiled faintly. "Ah yeah yeah. But this is not a dream to be exact. I am a rather precise man."
"Perfectionist?"
"No. Perfection didn’t exist. It is merely an illusion created by arrogant men."The man
said.
"My name is Nyrax."
"You know my name." Dante scoffed.
"Of course, but I like to hear your name from your lips, Dante."
"Enough chit chat. Why did you bring me here?"
"To discuss, of course." Nyrax said, drinking the tea.
"Discuss what? Your pathetic attempt at deceiving me?" Dante rolled his eyes.
"Haha. Indeed. I want to discuss that but sadly, I am here for something else." Nyrax shook his head. "I want you to be your Patreon."
Dante frowned. "What?"
"You seemed to lack information regarding the tutorial. Right now, there is a war going outside."
"You mean outside the dungeon or tutorial."
"Dungeon. I forget to specify. My bad." The man smiled and continue. "Various Divine beings are now setting their eyes on this particular tutorial for reasons I can’t tell."
"And?"
"I want to participate." Nyrax said.
"If you make me your Patreon, you will easily conquered this dungeon and have great power."
Dante thought and asked. "What did you get from this deal?"
"Nothing. I am a curious being." Nyrax answered.
"You said every man is thirsty for something." Dante pointed out. "I don’t believe you."
Nyrax smiled and lifted up his glasses again. "I am not lying. What I said is correct. I am thirsty for something and I will not have anything from this deal."
"I refuse. My dad said not to make a shady deal with a shady person." Dante said.
"That father?"
Dante frowned and didn’t talk back. He remained silent. Nyrax also didn’t say anywords and continued drinking his tea.
It went on for an hour.
"Seemed like you won’t change your mind." Nyrax sighed. "It is a bad habit of mine you know. Continue trying to see a different route."
"Huh?" Dante exclaimed.
"I will now withdrawal my presence. Shall we meet again sometime in the future?" Nyrax said and snapped his fingers.
Dante instantly woke up from the dream. His hands immediately grabbed his head. A sharp pain was assaulting his mind, crumbing away his thoughts.
Memories of unknown entered straight into his system, revealing the truth of the situation he was in.
Unable to bear the pain, he rolled on the ground and pounced his head to the ground. Hands grabbed his shoulder with great movement, stopping his self harm.
