Callum and Edith were shocked to hear several people suddenly enter the room. Edith immediately moved her head away, fixing her hair nervously. How embarrassing it would be if someone else witnessed this embarrassing scene openly. She was also disappointed, wondering why there had to be guests at a time like this. It had been a long time since she and Callum had kissed since this strange incident had befallen them recently.
Seeing that their guests were James and Arabella, Callum immediately let out a heavy sigh, wanting to quickly send his two friends away. He greeted his guests with a grin.
"Why did you come suddenly?"
James rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. "We came to you now because we were so worried about you. Are we not allowed to visit you?"
"You should have knocked on the door first!"
"Why did you have to scold us? Was it because of us that your kiss was delayed?"
Edith couldn’t contain her embarrassment any longer. She looked away and tried to get out of bed, but Callum deliberately tightened his embrace.
"Edith, you don’t have to be ashamed of us," Arabella mocked, laughing awkwardly.
"I’m just not used to kissing when other people are watching us."
James cleared his throat and sat down on the sofa with his girlfriend. He openly held her hand, not wanting to be outdone by this couple.
"We are not as stiff as you guys!"
Callum burst out laughing, shaking his head. "I’m still not used to seeing you act like this. You’re usually so stiff around Arabella."
"Because now I don’t have to hesitate in front of him anymore. I don’t want to waste it a second time."
It was Arabella’s turn to blush, her right hand patting her lover’s arm. "I didn’t expect you to be so shy about expressing your feelings openly in front of your friends."
Edith also envied the sweet couple. She was relieved to see James finally dating Arabella again after a long period of inactivity. However, for now, she wanted to focus on today’s meeting. She didn’t want to discuss her love life just yet.
"By the way, have you found the culprit yet, James?"
Callum immediately looked at his fiancée. "Why did you guys do this mission without my knowledge?"
Edith rolled her eyes. "I do want to catch that guy as soon as possible so you don’t get hurt again."
"Why did you have to hide this from me?"
"Because you are a victim."
"But you’re a victim too. If I hadn’t saved you, you wouldn’t be alive now."
James bowed. "The perpetrator is indeed the same person who chased Edith yesterday. I’ve asked my contacts to monitor CCTV footage in the area you passed through."
"Then, what about the phone number I gave you? Can you track it?"
"Of course. I can find out where it is now."
Callum clapped his hands enthusiastically as he looked at his friend. "You’re the most reliable when it comes to this."
"I plan to catch him today."
Arabella gripped her lover’s left hand tremblingly. "Are you okay with catching him yourself?"
James stroked his lover’s head gently. "It’s okay. I’m used to dealing with this."
"Yvette won’t let Edith live in peace, actually. She’s targeting Edith, not me. If she hears about me being hospitalized just because I protected Edith, she definitely won’t forgive Edith."
"Then what are you going to do with him now?"
Callum smiled casually. "Actually, I already have other plans for when I recover."
"What plan?" asked Edith, blinking several times.
"I’ll tell you later. This is what you’re going to do to hide your plans from James now."
James looked at Edith with a focused gaze. "You don’t have to worry anymore. I’ll make sure Yvette doesn’t bother you."
"By the way, if you guys stay here, what about Erdin and Eliana?" Arabella asked with a nervous look.
"Don’t worry. For now, I’ll have Patrick and Renata look after them."

After the two lovers had chatted for a while, only Callum and Edith remained in the VIP room. Edith was busy wiping her fiancé’s hands with a small towel soaked in warm water. Callum, meanwhile, could only stare at his fiancée’s beautiful face from a distance.
"Callum, are you okay sleeping alone today in the hospital?"
Callum shook his head. "It’s okay. You should go back to the hotel to look after the kids. I don’t want them neglected because of this."
"Even though today I want to sleep with you."
A mischievous smile graced his handsome face. He slowly placed the towel his fiancée was holding in the empty basin. Then, with a focused gaze, he touched her cheek.
"Actually, this was part of my plan too. I told Yvette that things haven’t been going well between us lately. You’ve been so indifferent to me."
Edith laughed awkwardly. "I really miss you whenever you’re away for too long, like this afternoon."
"It seems like Yvette believes what I say. That’s why I don’t want her to find out about our relationship."
"Now I understand your plan. I won’t ruin it. In fact, I fully support you so we can catch Yvette as soon as possible."
"For now, I don’t want the twins involved in our problems. You’ll have to take over as their guardian until things get back to normal."
"But, if Yvette goes too far, what will you do? Do you want to make enemies with her?"
"Of course. But before that, I have to make another plan."

Meanwhile, James begins his secret mission. He travels to a remote location to search for the perpetrator who planned to kill Callum and Edith today. Relying on his hacking and tracking skills, he tracks the perpetrator using the unknown phone number.
The further he walked down the alley, the more tense the atmosphere became. He was used to these situations as a secret agent. Now he relied on his abilities to protect his friend.
He finally managed to spot the perpetrator trying to flee his residence carrying a large black bag. He immediately pursued the man, who appeared to be in a state of hiding.
