Chapter 141: Chapter 141: Two Arrogant Women
In the private room, Bea was almost done eating, and she secretly sent a message to Dominic Hawke.
When Dominic replied with a positive response, Bea was reluctant to say goodbye to the elder members of the Hawke Family.
"Grandpa, Grandma, take your time eating. I’m going to the restroom."
Time really flies.
He had to become Bea again.
Once more, he’d be parting with their kind affection.
"Go ahead. Do you want Grandpa to accompany you?"
Elder Hawthorne asked with a smile.
"No need, I’m going."
Bea got up, took one last affectionate look at the elders, and walked away with his short legs.
Madam Hawke, seated, stared at the little fellow’s small figure and asked, "Old man, why do I feel like Charlie’s expression just now was particularly sentimental, as if he was saying goodbye to me?"
Elder Hawthorne hadn’t paid attention, but upon hearing this, he chuckled, "What are you imagining again? Is it because the child suddenly became lively, and now you’re not used to it?"
"How could it be? I hope Charlie maintains this state."
"..."
In the restroom, Bea and Dominic Hawke met again.
The two looked at each other, everything said without a word.
"Bea, are you happy?"
"Happy."
"Then, if we get a chance in the future, shall we switch identities like today?"
"Okay."
The two shared a smile, Dominic Hawke put on a mask, exited the restroom, and ran in different directions.
Bea glanced toward the hall and ran ahead with a smile.
Suddenly, someone walked from the diagonal, and Bea ran so fast that he didn’t notice and directly collided with the person.
"Ow."
The person stumbled and luckily had a nearby server to help steady them.
But the server was carrying a dish, and it spilled onto them.
"Oh my goodness!"
Evelyn Miles quickly shook off the food on her, her face changing colors.
"Sorry, sorry, I didn’t mean it."
The server apologized repeatedly, helping to wipe the stains with a towel.
Evelyn Miles harshly shook off the server’s hand and glared at her.
Her gaze fell on Bea, who had just gotten up from the ground, and she snapped, "Where did this wild boy come from, thinking this is a village path to run around? Where are your parents? Are they all dead, letting you run wild?"
Upon hearing this, Bea swallowed back the apology he was about to say.
His delicate brows grew stern.
"This old auntie, is this restaurant yours? You’re the only one allowed to walk? How arrogant."
She actually cursed his family as dead?
He was not going to apologize to her.
"What did you say? Old auntie? Arrogant? Kid, you bumped into me, and you don’t apologize, but still act so cocky?"
Evelyn Miles angrily grabbed Bea’s arm.
A pain shot through his arm, causing Bea’s eyes to turn cold, and he directly threw insects from his small bottle at Evelyn Miles.
"Ah! What is this!"
Evelyn Miles screamed, frightened, and quickly let go of Bea.
Bea couldn’t keep steady, and sat back down on the ground again.
Ouch.
Anther fall.
His butt hurt!
But, he managed to scare that woman.
How satisfying.
"Bea!"
Elara Don quickly came over upon hearing the commotion, helping Bea up and tidying his clothes, "Are you okay?"
"Mommy, I’m fine."
Bea shook his head.
Elara Don pursed her lips, holding back words.
Though unclear of the situation, she saw her son throw insects at the other person.
The person was definitely frightened.
Thinking that, Elara Don stood up and nodded slightly to Evelyn Miles.
"Miss, I apologize on behalf of my son. He’s a bit mischievous, please don’t take it to heart."
She preferred to deal with matters with civility first.
Do what needs to be done.
"Are you the parent of this child? Do you know how to raise children? Look at what your son did? Like an uncultured wild child bumped into me, then threw insects at me? People like you, a bunch of uncivilized hillbillies, shouldn’t be dining in such upscale restaurants."
Evelyn Miles was furious, rebuking Elara Don.
Elara Don’s expression cooled down.
Wild child?
Uncivilized?
She had already apologized for her son, but didn’t expect such harsh words in return.
Thinking her son threw insects at her must be due to her unpleasant words.
Elara Don was organizing her response when Leia Quinn’s voice rang out.
"I don’t think Miss Grant is fitting of being a well-bred noble lady. If she had any manners, how could she make a fuss with a child over a small matter?"
Upon hearing this, Evelyn Miles’ expression changed, her gaze instantly moved to Leia Quinn.
"Who are you? Do you know me?"
"Dr. Morton is my mentor, I’ve had the honor of seeing Miss Grant a few times.
Leia Quinn spoke calmly, although her gaze held some depth when looking at Evelyn Miles.
Evelyn Miles’ face turned pale, staring at Leia Quinn, speechless for a moment.
Then a woman walked over gracefully, "Samantha, what’s happened here?"
Seeing the newcomer, Evelyn Miles complained to her, "Selena, it was bad luck, ran into a brat."
Selena Taylor glanced over Elara Don’s group, arrogantly said, "Alright, don’t stoop to the level of these hillbillies, tarnishing your status. Let’s go."
"Mmm."
Evelyn Miles was already looking for an excuse to leave.
She gave a wary glance at Leia Quinn, turned and left with Selena Taylor.
"Heh, such arrogant women."
Leia Quinn mocked lightly, taking Bea’s small figure into her embrace.
"Bea, are you alright?"
"I’m fine."
Bea was a bit displeased, "Sorry, Mommy, Godmother, I let you get insulted."
If not for him, Mommy and Godmother wouldn’t have been called hillbillies.
"What’s there to apologize for? Bea, she called us hillbillies, so we are? Don’t punish yourself with others’ mistakes. Let’s go."
Leia Quinn ruffled Bea’s small head, soothing him.
"Indeed, Bea, identity doesn’t equate to virtue. Just do right by ourselves."
Elara Don added.
Bea understood, and the smile returned to his face.
"Yes, we aren’t uncivilized hillbillies. They’re the ones who are arrogant and mean."
He held a hand on each side, coolly said.
Elara Don and Leia Quinn exchanged a smile, both curving their lips.
"Chloe, do you know those two just now?"
"Yes, I know them."
Leia Quinn’s almond eyes flickered slightly, "One’s a famous dancer, Evelyn Miles, and the other is Craig Landers’ sister-in-law, Selena Taylor."
Thanks to her profession, she had the opportunity to meet these two.
One was a patient of her mentor.
The other was the root cause of Craig Landers’ issues.
Evelyn Miles?
Bea’s eyes perked up upon hearing the name.
Why did this name sound so familiar?
Where had he heard it before?
After the earlier incident, Elara Don and the others no longer felt like eating.
So they paid the bill and left.
After they entered one elevator, another elevator just stopped nearby.
Damon Hawke and Craig Landers emerged from it.
