Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 191: Someone Is Following Her

Chapter 191

Chapter 191: Chapter 191: Someone Is Following Her
Leia Quinn glanced at the other person, offered an apologetic smile, and then walked forward.
After a few steps, she blinked, paused slightly, and looked back.
The man had already disappeared.
Leia Quinn was lost in thought and then headed to her clinic.
The man just now seemed a bit familiar.
Where had she seen him?
Back at the clinic.
Leia Quinn continued with her appointments.
After seeing a few patients, someone walked in.
"Where do you feel uncomfortable?"
Leia Quinn habitually asked.
The visitor remained silent, just sitting across from her.
Leia Quinn instinctively looked up, and upon seeing the visitor, was a little surprised.
"It’s you?"
It was the man she had bumped into earlier.
"Dr. Quinn, I’m here to see you."
The man looked at Leia Quinn, smiling faintly.
That smile inexplicably felt eerie and made one uncomfortable.
Leia Quinn suppressed her inner doubts, maintaining a professional smile, "Alright, tell me, where do you feel uncomfortable?"
"Dr. Quinn, have you noticed someone here is staring at me? Look, they’re laughing at me again, laughing that I’m insane and cursing me as useless."
The man suddenly leaned in closer, his eyes darting around with a conspiratorial look.
Leia Quinn, about to write a medical record, was startled by his sudden approach.
She hurriedly straightened up, leaning back a bit.
"Mr. Zephr, it’s very safe here, there’s no one else but me, don’t be paranoid."
The medical record indicated the man was named Hay Zephr, twenty-eight years old.
He seemed to have some mental issues.
"Dr. Quinn, are you lying to me? Is there really no one here?"
Hay Zephr suddenly grabbed Leia Quinn’s hand, looking scared, "Am I hallucinating? Dr. Quinn, do I have a mental illness?"
The man’s grip was strong, and Leia Quinn uncomfortably freed her hand.
"Mr. Zephr, don’t worry, let me examine you first."
If what he said was true, he would need hospitalization.
Leia Quinn got up, signaling him to follow her for an examination.
Hay Zephr stared at her, and where she couldn’t see, a cold glint flashed in his eyes.
"Dr. Quinn, you’ve treated many like me, haven’t you?"
Hay Zephr asked as he lay on a treatment chair.
Leia Quinn walked to his side, smiling slightly, "Yes, don’t worry, just relax."
Hay Zephr stared intently at her, "Did they all get better in the end?"
"As long as you follow the doctor’s advice and take your medication on time, there will definitely be improvement."
Leia Quinn responded formally and then began examining Hay Zephr.
Hay Zephr said nothing, but his gaze on Leia Quinn felt a bit dark.
And when Leia Quinn’s eyes met his, the coldness in his eyes faded.
After examining him, Leia Quinn found his condition wasn’t particularly severe.
"Mr. Zephr, what do you do for work? Has work stress been high lately?"
Some people under work stress can inevitably have some delusions.
This man seemed very aware of his mental state.
"I’m a mechanic, and I’ve been working late nights frequently."
Hay Zephr lowered his eyes slightly as he got up to speak.
"Alright, I’ll prescribe some medication to help regulate your body."
Leia Quinn returned to her seat to write the prescription, "You’re fine, just keep your spirits relaxed and don’t be too tense."
"Just medication to regulate? I don’t have a mental illness? No need for hospitalization?"
Hay Zephr stared intently at Leia Quinn, something flickering in his eyes.
Leia Quinn paused in her writing, looking up at him, "Mr. Zephr, you have mild depression, but it’s not yet to the point of hospitalization. But if you don’t take care, in the long term, it could escalate."
"So, I have the onset of a mental illness, don’t I?"
Hay Zephr persistently questioned, as if he wanted someone to confirm he had a mental illness.
Leia Quinn frowned slightly, "Mr. Zephr, everyone has some mental issues to varying degrees, only severe ones are considered mentally ill. Don’t get too fixated on this."
This man gave her an indescribable feeling.
The way he looked at her had an inexplicable hostility.
He didn’t seem to be there for treatment, more like he was questioning her.
Questioning her about what?
Proving he wasn’t mentally ill?
Hay Zephr stared fixedly at Leia Quinn, waiting for her to finish the medical record. He took it, stood up, and looked down at her, with a strange grin on his face.
"Dr. Quinn, thank you for the consultation, goodbye."
After saying this, the man turned and left.
Leia Quinn frowned, just finding his smile a bit creepy.
Goodbye?
There are some patients she’d rather never see again.
Leia Quinn shook her head, seeing there were no more patients, prepared to grab a drink of water.
She glanced at the time, with a shadow of someone flashing in her mind.
About time to clock out, would that man come again?
She better slip out early to pick up her godson.
Leia Quinn changed her clothes, closed the clinic door, and headed to the underground parking lot with her belongings.
The parking lot was quite empty, Leia Quinn took out her car keys from her bag.
Was it her illusion or not? She vaguely felt someone was following her.
She paused, quickly turned back to look, but saw no one.
Was she hallucinating?
Leia Quinn frowned slightly, took out her car key, pressed the unlock button, and accelerated her pace.
But just as she was about to reach the car, a figure leapt out, quickly covering her mouth and nose, dragging her towards the corner.
Leia Quinn’s heart skipped a beat, panic flashed in her eyes.
No, it wasn’t her illusion, someone was indeed stalking her!
Who!
Leia Quinn struggled desperately, finding a gap and giving her follower a hard stomp.
The person yelped in pain, momentarily loosening their grip.
Leia Quinn quickly cried for help, "Help, someone, uh uh!"
She only managed a few shouts before the man covered her mouth and nose again, banging her head hard against the wall.
The intense pain hit, and Leia Quinn groaned, her body going limp.
The man panted heavily, throwing her to the ground, slowly crouching down.
Leia Quinn opened her eyes, vaguely seeing the man’s enlarged face before her.
"Hay Zephr! It’s you!"
It was the patient she just saw!
Why was he stalking her!
"Leia Quinn, it’s me!"
Hay Zephr clutched her throat, eyes filled with a sinister gleam.
Leia Quinn struggled to breathe.
She slapped at his hand, struggling to ask, "Why are you stalking me? Do you have a grudge against me?"
She didn’t know him!
Why was he treating her this way!
"Leia Quinn, what do you think? If not, why would I follow you!"
The man spoke darkly, his face full of gloom.
Did he have a grudge against her?
When did she ever offend him!
"Hay Zephr, I don’t even know you. If you’re going to kill me, at least let me die knowing why!"
Leia Quinn’s face flushed as she squeezed out the words.
