Even If I’m Reborn as a Cute Dragon Girl, I Will Still Make a Harem-Book 6: Chapter 89: Pain
Book 6: Chapter 89: Pain
“Dragon Ancestor Gerald is the true culprit behind the Dragon Eaters’ invasion of the Great World!”
The declaration echoed like thunder, leaving even the Thoughtless Deity Lord momentarily dazed.
*Gerald? The true culprit?*
*Then what of the Great World’s reverence?*
*What of the countless praises sung in his name?*
*What of all those righteous proclamations?*
Only now did the Thoughtless Deity Lord understand why the Dragon Queen had been so amused.
If what she said was true, then everything the Great World had honored, believed in, and celebrated was a joke.
Who had they honored?
Who had they worshipped?
Who had they trusted?
Ha… the one they deified was the very being who destroyed all they held dear!
“Thoughtless Deity Lord, don’t listen to her lies! She’s trying to deceive you!” the golden dragon roared, his eyes bloodshot.
“…Is that true?”
The Thoughtless Deity Lord, regaining a trace of composure, turned her gaze to the Dragon Queen.
“If you’re going to make such claims, I hope you’re prepared to take responsibility for your words,” she said solemnly.
“Does it matter whether I take responsibility or not?” The Dragon Queen began walking toward her.
Even though they were far apart, each step she took moved the stars, rapidly closing the gap between them.
She stopped in front of the Thoughtless Deity Lord. With their difference in height, the Dragon Queen naturally looked down on her.
“Whether you believe me or not doesn’t matter. I’m not here to convince you. I’m simply telling the truth. What you choose to do with it is none of my concern,” she said coldly.
“But—” The Dragon Queen’s icy blue eyes locked onto her, and the Thoughtless Deity Lord involuntarily shuddered.
Not once in all her years bearing the title of deity lord had she felt such chilling dread.
A chill crept up her legs, slithered along her spine like a serpent of frost, and coiled atop her scalp, hissing. Every patch of skin it touched was left with a cold so sharp it bordered on pain.
“The only reason I’m telling you this is to warn you—stay out of this. Do not meddle where you shouldn’t. Even if you’re a Deity Lord, even if I haven’t made a move in nine million years, even if the people of the Great World have long forgotten my name, even if the wounds from that ancient war still haven’t healed…”
She raised her hand, revealing the arm stripped down to bare bone, and continued coldly,
“…killing a few deity lords is still child’s play to me.”
How arrogant!
How defiant!
How utterly contemptuous!
And yet, the Thoughtless Deity Lord saw it clearly in her eyes… she wasn’t bluffing. She meant every word.
She truly believed she could kill a deity lord—the highest existence in the Great World, revered by countless.
And she had the confidence to say it right to one’s face.
The Thoughtless Deity Lord trembled with fury. Since attaining the title, none had ever dared speak to her like this.
And yet, the Dragon Queen had done just that. She had practically told her to step aside or be killed.
But… after a long hesitation, the Thoughtless Deity Lord still couldn’t bring herself to act. No… more like she didn’t dare.
Because the one who had just said those words was Regalis, the Dragon Queen—the strongest being of the Great World, nine million years ago.
Back then, those who had dismissed her warnings had long since turned to dust.
And so, she remained silent, watching as Regalis walked past her and toward her former “guest and good friend”.

“Pardon the earlier interruption. Allow me to greet you again.”
The Dragon Queen glanced down at the golden dragon still struggling against his bindings and sneered.
“Long time no see, Dragon Ancestor. You’re still as revolting as ever.”
The golden dragon thrashed and roared, “REGALIS! What do you think you’re doing? This isn’t what we agreed on!”
“My, your memory is failing you again.”
A crushing pressure descended. The Dragon Ancestor’s massive body groaned under the weight of it.
The Dragon Queen’ voice turned razor-sharp. “You are to address me as *Your Majesty*!”
“UGH…!” With a cry of pain, the golden dragon was forced to lower his noble head.
“Your… Majesty.”
“Good boy.”
The Dragon Queen leaned closer, watching Gerald’s pained expression with clear satisfaction. For the first time in a long while, there was a glimmer of genuine joy in her eyes.
“Oh my, the fact that you’re still here despite the suppression means you really came in your true form this time.”
“You…”
Something in her words and in her strange, erratic behavior of late made Gerald’s expression shift. A terrible realization began to dawn.
“You… You exposed that girl’s identity on purpose, didn’t you?”
“Hmph. Not exactly. I just took advantage of the moment.”
Her lips curved into a smile. “After all, our noble Dragon Ancestor is a coward to the core. You’ve avoided showing your true form for nine million years. If I didn’t use a little trick, how else could I lure you out?”
“A little trick…?”
Gerald’s eyes widened. Something about all this didn’t add up. But when the pieces began to fall into place, rage erupted from within him.
“You mean to tell me… for that petty reason, you abandoned everything we worked for these past nine million years?”
“We were this close, Regalis! Just one more step and we would’ve achieved our goal! How could you just… Regalis, what the hell are you thinking? Is reviving the Dragons no longer important to you?”
“Reviving the dragons… is what I’ve wanted more than anything. There’s not a single moment I haven’t thought about it. I’ve dreamed of it every day. I yearn to see those who were lost stand before me again.”
“Then why—”
“But is that even possible?” the Dragon Queen snapped.
She clenched her fists, her body trembling with grief and fury.
“Is that even achievable? The Dragons are gone. Everyone is dead! They died in front of me. I still remember each of their faces as they fell. I can still see their smile and hear their last words—*’Your Majesty, I haven’t disgraced the dragons’.*”
“I wanted to stop them, but I couldn’t. I could only watch them walk to their deaths with pride… that stupid pride that wouldn’t let them turn back, even at the end.
I was the strongest being in the Great World, yet I couldn’t even save my own people. Not a day has gone by without regret. Not a day without hatred. If my heart could bleed, my blood would’ve stained the entire ancestral land by now.”
“If you ask who wants the dragons revived the most? It’s me! Who else could it be if not me?”
