Everyone Wants Me Dead: The Villain Lord's Survival Diary-Chapter 37 – Forced Kiss of the Saintess
Sylvie slowly calmed the raging Battle Aura within him. That devastating strike had nearly drained him of all his energy.
But the effect was clear—he had knocked Ye Hao to his knees, leaving him questioning his very existence.
Sylvie didn't bother to taunt Ye Hao further. In his eyes, today's performance was the first time Ye Hao showed any semblance of being the Chosen of Destiny.
Sylvie slung his greatsword over his back and walked past the dazed Ye Hao, returning to Morninglight Town.
The crowd was still in shock, their gazes at Sylvie varied.
The Demi-humans averted their eyes, mostly out of fear, while Sylvie's soldiers looked at him with fervor and admiration.
As for the players, they were extremely excited, jumping and shouting as if it were a festival.
It was as if the one who had been knocked down wasn't their main character NPC.
"Coach, that's it! I want to learn that!"
"Oh my goodness, if you told me the Eaglehold Lord just fired a railgun, I'd believe it."
"Mom asked me why I'm kneeling while playing games (╥_╥)."
"Let's pledge allegiance to Winterfell City."
"Aren't you going to give up on the Saintess Sister?"
"Women only slow down my sword drawing speed!"
...
"You lost, now it's time to fulfill your promise."
Sylvie approached Saintess Roye, eyeing her with a wolfish gaze.
"Could you..."
"No!" Sylvie grinned, cutting off the fox-eared girl's bargaining without hesitation.
"Ugh..."
Roye was so startled by Sylvie's shout that she stumbled back, tears welling up in her eyes.
The players stood by, unsure of what to do.
Stop him?
What a joke, this was a man who could unleash a railgun with a single strike. Approaching him now would just get them knocked back to level 0.
But if they didn't intervene, watching the fox-eared girl cower under Sylvie's shadow made them feel a bit guilty.
Ah, so exhausting.
Might as well pretend they didn't see anything for five minutes.
The players exchanged messages in the public channel, deciding to ignore the Saintess's pleading eyes.
For these five minutes, they'd watch the clouds, count the ants on the ground, chat with the soldiers, and shoot the breeze. It would pass quickly, and they believed it would be quick for the Saintess too.
Mainly, the players believed that in five minutes, the Eaglehold Lord couldn't do much. It would take him more than five minutes just to take off that armor.
"Stay away from Her Highness the Saintess, you demon!"
"You big bully, don't you dare hurt the Saintess Sister!"
"If you want to harm Her Highness the Saintess, you'll have to step over our dead bodies."
...
To Sylvie and the players' surprise, all the Demi-humans in Morninglight Town rushed over fearlessly, standing in front of Saintess Roye.
Among them were the elderly, the young, and even toddlers who had just learned to walk.
Despite their bodies trembling with fear, they resolutely shielded Saintess Roye.
Sylvie even saw a determination to die in their eyes.
He glanced, somewhat surprised, at Saintess Roye, who was being protected by the Demi-humans. He hadn't expected the fox-eared girl to be so beloved and supported by the Demi-humans. He had thought she was just a silly mascot.
But would Sylvie soften?
Of course not. Setting aside Sylvie's own desires, this was a System Quest, an opportunity for him to grow stronger.
Don't be fooled by the players' respectful demeanor; they only acted that way because they couldn't beat him. If they could, they'd have taken him down long ago.
Besides, now these Demi-humans knew to protect the Saintess?

When they occupied Morninglight Town and settled here, did they not consider the Eaglehold Lord's retaliation?
When Ye Hao made the bet, did they not think about what would happen if they lost?
Though brave and kind, they couldn't escape human nature's tendency to take chances.
Every action has its consequences, determined by fate.
Now they stand up? Too late!
Sylvie looked coldly at the Demi-humans, gripping the greatsword behind him.
The killing intent from his previous battles in Blackriver Territory hadn't dissipated, now pouring out and pressing down on the Demi-humans before him.
"I'll give you three seconds to move, or I won't hesitate to cut you down like wheat."
"Three—!"
"Two—!"
"One..."
"No!"
Saintess Roye pushed aside the Demi-humans protecting her, stumbling to her knees before Sylvie, clutching his blood-stained leg armor.
"No... don't kill them... I'll agree to your terms."
She looked up, pleading with the man before her, tears streaming down her smooth, delicate cheeks.
Sylvie pursed his lips, releasing his grip on the greatsword. Most of his killing intent dissipated, and he cast a cold warning glance at the surrounding Demi-humans.
"I'm just going to have a private conversation with your Saintess, only five minutes. If you don't believe me, you can wait outside the room."
"Her Highness the Saintess..."
"He..."
The Demi-humans cast worried and questioning glances at the Saintess.
"The Eaglehold Lord speaks the truth."
Roye wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes with a small hand, forcing a smile to reassure the Demi-humans around her.
"We're just going to discuss matters concerning Morninglight Town's development and future, so it's not convenient to disclose."
"Everyone, just wait outside. It'll only be five minutes."
Seeing that the Saintess had prepared them, Sylvie snorted coldly, lifting the limp fox-eared girl with one strong hand.
"Move aside!"
The Demi-humans exchanged glances. Though still very worried, since Her Highness the Saintess had said so, they had no choice but to comply.
They stepped aside, making way for this man who seemed like a demon god.
...
Inside the Mayor's Estate, Sylvie pulled the Demi-human Saintess inside, closing the door before roughly cornering her against the wall.
"What... what are you going to do?!"
Roye's face turned pale, shrinking back in fear, her small hands clutched tightly to her chest, wishing she could wrap herself in her tail.
"What am I going to do?"
Sylvie chuckled lightly, extending a large hand to seize Roye's soft hands, lifting them above her head.
Roye found herself pinned against the wall, nearly face-to-face with Sylvie. Her hands were crossed and held firmly by Sylvie's right hand, leaving only her legs and tail free to move.
She turned her face to the side in fear, her long lashes fluttering, a flush spreading from her snow-white neck upwards, quickly coloring her cheeks and ears.
What made her despair even more was the intoxicating aura emanating from Sylvie, which was fiercely eroding her will, tempting her to succumb.
Sylvie wasted no time with words. Time was limited. He grasped the girl's chin with his left hand, aligning her face before leaning down to claim her lips with a forceful kiss.
"Mmph! No... you can't..."
Roye struggled desperately, her eyes wide with disbelief, tears of humiliation trickling from the corners of her eyes.
"I suggest you cooperate, Your Highness the Saintess. You wouldn't want the Demi-humans outside to die for you, would you?"
Sylvie's devilish words and wolf-like gaze pierced deeply into the girl's heart.
She paused, her eyes filled with sorrow and bitterness as she looked at Sylvie, ceasing her struggles, her body going limp as if all strength had been drained from her.
With her spirit's defenses breached, Roye became acutely aware of the alluring aura surrounding Sylvie, which coursed through her body, bringing a tingling sensation.
Gradually, she found herself involuntarily responding to the man's kiss, her fluffy fox tail unknowingly wrapping tightly around them both.
The domineering and rough kiss lasted for nearly half an incense stick's time, long exceeding the allotted time.
Sylvie felt it was enough. Though the fox-eared girl before him was a feast for the eyes, any longer might lead to trouble.
Fortunately, perhaps because there were no alarming sounds, the players and Demi-humans outside hadn't come in to interrupt.
Roye felt the warmth leave her lips, opening her eyes in a daze. She absentmindedly puckered her lips, as if she hadn't had enough.
This time, it was Sylvie's turn to be bewildered, wondering if the fox-eared girl had lost her mind from his kiss.
Could it be Stockholm syndrome?
"Hey! Hey!"
Sylvie waved his left hand in front of the girl's face, teasingly saying:
"That's enough. Any more, and I'll have to charge you."
"Huh?"
The fox-eared girl stared blankly at Sylvie, taking a moment to react.
Her entire body began to tremble, her large, misty eyes welling with tears, her skin turning as red as a boiled shrimp.
Sylvie watched the scene before him in shock. In all his life, he'd never seen someone turn so red. While Loli would blush all over from shyness, it was only a soft, light pink.
The fox-eared girl, on the other hand, was just a shade lighter than the deep red of a rose. Combined with her naturally pale, glowing skin, the sight was all the more striking.
Sylvie swallowed hard. If...
No, he couldn't think about it. If he did, he might not leave this room today.
Sylvie released Roye, and she collapsed to the floor like a ragdoll.
She immediately curled up, hugging her knees, her beautiful tail wrapping around her, leaving only her ears exposed.
Sylvie felt a twinge of envy. Roye's tail was even larger than Loli's, enough to cover two people as a blanket.
Sensing the girl's heart rate calming, Sylvie knew she was just unsure how to face him, hence her continued hiding.
So he didn't linger, sparing her further embarrassment, and left the room without a word, like a heartless scoundrel.
As for the tax issue, it could wait until his next visit to Morninglight Town. Wool should be sheared in stages, and teasing the Saintess was too.
