Genius’s Godlike Game Broadcast-Chapter 83 : Revealed Witch's True Identity (3)

Chapter 83

Revealed Witch's True Identity (3)
A field of pure white filled his vision.
But the moment blue flames blocked the path, the white burst into bubbles, turned black, and fell away.
Not a single one of the boss's attacks could touch Lee Gyeongbok.
– Wow, he intercepted all of them.
– That's just insane performance, Lol.
– Trying not to gasp, lv999.
– Regardless of whether attribute attacks work, this is nuts, Lol.
– For real, even Elden newbs could never block like this with the same equipment and sorcery.
The viewers couldn't contain their astonishment. Along with the blue flames flickering on his sword blank, six blue whips moved with what seemed like their own will.
Literal perfect control.
No matter which direction attacks flew from, nothing could break through his flames.
– Oh? I think the boss shrank a bit?
– Must be because the blobs can't return, Lol.
– Everyone was scared of Ostrich Egg, but turns out it's nothing.
– Was that ostrich egg a joke? LOL
– Got totally wrecked, lolol.
– Honestly, it only looks this easy because it's Godple, if it were us we'd get shredded, Lol.
– You think you could even get that far? LOL
Unlike at the beginning, the viewers were now completely at ease. The boss was visibly shrinking, and Lee Gyeongbok's barrage was only getting faster.
The match was as good as decided.
'That must be the holy orb.'
It wasn't just the viewers who were relaxed. Lee Gyeongbok had become so used to the fight that he could observe the boss and counter its attacks at the same time.
At the center of the shrinking orb.
As Sophia had said, the holy orb was inside. It had been the weak point he'd sensed since first facing the boss.
'I bet smashing that will end it.'
With its size shrinking, the boss's attacks had also weakened, and Lee Gyeongbok saw no reason to drag this battle out any further.
With a slight flick of his hand, the six streams condensed into two thick ones.
'I'll pierce it with a concentrated strike.'
He drew a quick breath.
Lee Gyeongbok charged directly at the boss. As the distance closed, attacks came flying to stop him, but they were futile.
Thanks to his heightened sixth sense, the trajectory of every attack played out in his mind.
– Whoa, Lol, it's over.
– The one and only fried egg here!
– Ah LOL, you can't not get fried.
– Bald Mountain hyung's quick farewell TT
– ???: "Well then, goodbye! Yohoho~"
Just as the viewers were cracking laidback jokes, a warning bell rang in Lee Gyeongbok's mind.
'What's this?'
A surge of imminent danger.
With a foreboding chill sweeping his entire body, he swiftly raised his sword vertically and fanned out a stream of flame.
The boss's body expanded right after that.
– Huh?
– What's going on?
– Uh, oh!?
As the viewers tried to react to the sudden change—
With a thunderous roar, a white flood poured out like a deluge, covering even the candles that lit the wide chamber under the basement altar.
And so, darkness came suddenly.
Only Lee Gyeongbok's blue flames shone in the center.
– Holy crap;;; That was almost bad.
– It was the kind that self-destructs in the end, wow.
– ???: "Yeah~ just keep coming! I can just blow myself up!"
– FromSoft really are evil... evil, I tell you...
– For real, right when you think you've won, tRAP ACTIVATES!
– But for Godple, it's mere child's play, Lol.
– Seriously, look at those reflexes.
– Is that even human?
– He's not human, duh, Lol.
The momentary panic faded as viewers realized Lee Gyeongbok was alive and well.
But Lee Gyeongbok himself did not lower his guard.
"It's still alive."
He adjusted his grip on the sword and peered into the darkness. Beyond the blue fire, something inside radiated an even stronger threat.
'So, there was a phase 2.'
The viewers saw nothing, endless question marks climbing in the chat.
Right then.
A squelching sound came from the dark, and a white fissure split open. Though it had shrunk, it was still egg-like, and light leaked out from within.
– What is this? Seriously, what is this?
– Shit, thought someone finished it off.
– Who finished it? No one! Just die already!
– It was a phase 2 foreshadow, not a self-destruct, wow.
– Phase one was that tough, and there's more?
The viewers now realized the boss fight wasn't over. The crack widened, and a burst of light erupted.
The world filled with a blinding flash. And then, from inside—
"""I shall deliver you salvation."""
It was a knight of purest white, blazing with radiance.
Lee Gyeongbok and the viewers immediately recognized the form.
"That's a spitting image of the knight from the mural."
– Oh, Lol, that's right!
– Is that a fake Elden Knight or what?!
– Ridiculous, fake Elden Knights, lolol.
– Damn, this is an insult to Elden newbs!
– Hey! You think I saved youguys for THIS?
– I saved you with blood and sweat, and this is what you pull? lolol.
– Look at the Elden noobs fuming, Lol.
Lee Gyeongbok's eyes went straight to the golden orb, the holy orb in the center of the boss's body.
What he had to do hadn't changed.
'Let's see, then.'
With phase 2 begun, the patterns had surely changed. Lee Gyeongbok gripped his sword tightly and charged at the white knight.
– If it's a humanoid boss, the fight's already over, Lol.
– For real, only reason there was a chance was because the first form was so weird.
– Who argues swordplay before Elden's Top Sword?
– It's still just the same mass, right? It'll get roasted by the flames!
The viewers didn't worry even though the boss had changed form.
With a resounding metallic sound, black and white swords clashed. Blue flames surged over, engulfing the whites.
But things went differently than they'd expected.
– ????????
– Why'd the fire go out?
– Is that a bug?
– Did he run out of gas?
– Out of gas, lololol.
The flames snuffed out as soon as they touched it.
And that wasn't the only problem.
The holy orb inside the boss's body flashed, and gold spread through it like veins. Simultaneously, blue flames erupted across the boss's body.
Lee Gyeongbok narrowed his glabella, using the Dragon Scale sword to fend off surging flames and create distance.
Thanks to the Dragon Scale's flame resistance, he took no damage.
"Hm, well, things just got tricky."
The viewers grasped what was happening as soon as he said that.
– Whoa, Lol, did it absorb that?
– Damn, that's just the holy orb's cheating ability.
– Wait, so neither physical nor magic attacks work now?
– FromSoft, is this legit? You really okay with this?!
– Wasn't this actually impossible to beat?
Frustration erupted in the chat window.
The boss's body could regenerate, and attribute attacks got absorbed by the holy orb's power. It looked impossible.
Lee Gyeongbok, however, thought differently.
"I said it's tricky, not that it's unbeatable."
He replied with a faint smile.
– ??????
– Godple's confidence ON!
– How can he win THIS?
– Ah, I know what it is (I don't).
– If Godple says so, there's always a way!
– Our Godple, always has a plan?
They didn't know how, but Godple's confidence reassured the viewers.
Anyone else would seem cocky, but Lee Gyeongbok had already proved it by experience.
He pointed his sword at the white knight.
"Just aim directly for the holy orb and destroy it—I'll be fine."
His spiritual energy and sixth sense pointed to only one thing. If he broke that sole weak point, he could win.
– C'mon;;; That's hard, you know!
– Like fake Elden Knights are going to just stand around, Lol.
– Isn't that only possible up close?
– Seriously, aiming for something THAT small?
– It's not even fixed in place, how do you stab it?
– For real, if you miss, you're dead!
– But that's really the only way, Lol.
It was no easy feat.
The holy orb was about the size of an apple, and it wasn't fixed in place. Because of the shifting material of the boss's body, it even wobbled about like it was underwater.
Most people led with doubt.
– Miss? Godple doesn't miss.
– Ah LOL, if it's Godple, anything's possible.
– Don't measure things with human standards.
– Who's the one who does what everyone says is impossible?
– There's a reason he's Godple, Lol.
Even in doubt, there were viewers who had absolute faith.
Lee Gyeongbok's smile deepened.
"It's not that dangerous."
As the viewers opened their mouths to question, Lee Gyeongbok moved. The white knight morphed its arm and fired spikes at him.
'It's already immune.'
He sliced them down with his sword—but they no longer burned. Lee Gyeongbok wrapped the cut-off chunks in a whip of flame and hurled them away.
"In that case, let me really focus."
He steadied his posture as he spoke.
– Perfect focus mode ON!
– Ah LOL, that means he's got this.
– No idea how, but he's gonna win!
– When Godple focuses, it's over, Lol.
– Am I the only one suddenly feeling at peace?
Time slowed to a crawl.
With the acceleration of thought and expansion of his sixth sense, he filtered the information, dismissing everything unnecessary. His senses became hyper-refined.
Before his eyes: just the white knight and himself.
It felt as if only the two of them existed in the world.
'At this rate, I can do it.'
Every pattern, every flicker of blue, every movement of the embers stood out clearly.
Lee Gyeongbok even understood the process by which the boss absorbed sorcery. The moment calculation ended, he dashed forward.
No hint of fear—an all-out, full-speed assault.
– Here he goes, heeere he goes!
– Perfect-style swordplay ON!
– Whoa;;; isn't that a bit reckless?
– Fake Elden Knights ON THE WAY OUT!
– Isn't that a little too reckless?!
– I believe! I trust Godple!
Amidst worry and cheering, black and white clashed again. Lee Gyeongbok slashed down countless spikes fired by the knight's body.
The exchange was so rapid, viewers couldn't even type.
At last, Lee Gyeongbok broke through and closed to striking distance. As the black blade cut through the light—
With a metallic clang, the black sword flew from Lee Gyeongbok's hand.
– Nooo!
– Oh shit.
– No way!
– It's over.
In that instant, the viewers felt defeat was certain. Lee Gyeongbok looked completely defenseless after dropping his sword, and spikes began bubbling up from the boss's body.
But Lee Gyeongbok was smiling.
With a sharp slicing sound, the spikes rained down—but he swiftly twisted away, avoiding the attack.
– ??????
– He dodged it?
– Insane...!
– Was that a sway?
– That's some footwork!
– Didn't Godple used to box? Is this muscle memory?
The viewers were shocked, but the situation still seemed dire... or so it seemed.
But something astonishing happened.
"""What is... this...!"""
The white knight lowered its head in disbelief. Beneath it, Lee Gyeongbok's black sword was lodged, piercing through its own body.
The Dragon Scale sword, which should have been knocked away, had skewered the holy orb from behind.
– ?
– Huh? How did that get there?
– What happened? What happened!?
– Was there a broadcast lag? Nope.
– Come on, stop pulling our leg.
– Hurry up and explain! The suspense is killing me!
With this unexpected development, the chat window exploded. Lee Gyeongbok took a breath and smiled.
"This is it."
He cast sorcery again.
Blue flames flickered in his grasp, tracing a line in mid-air. And at the end of that line—the Dragon Scale sword.
– ????
– Was that a dragon stream?
– Did he just control the sword he dropped?
– Crazy, Lol, and while dodging attacks, too?
– But wouldn't that attack lack penetration power?
– Yeah, remember it was weaker against the Corrupted Knight boss!
The viewers had an idea but still didn't fully get it.
"It is true the strike lacked power. That's why I used the holy orb itself."
The holy orb absorbed sorcery.
Through observation, Lee Gyeongbok understood that sorcery was absorbed by the orb and then discharged. He'd found a way to use that process.
"With the orb absorbing the dragon stream, there's no way to miss, and I can use its own energy for the strike."
– Whoa, Lol, so you dropped the sword on purpose!
– I knew it, godple would never drop a sword that easily.
– Insane, I never imagined that strategy.
– Surprise rickroll! Even the viewers were fooled!
– Wait;;; is that actual sword manipulation?
– Truly Elden's Top Sword!
– That's something the Nine Great Sects would praise.
– Why are the Nine Great Sects suddenly here, lolol.
Relief and joy swept through the viewers as the puzzle came together. Lee Gyeongbok approached the kneeling white knight.
He pulled out the sword lodged in its body, and the control faded.
The start of a cutscene—making it clear the boss fight was over.
"""Fool! Broken one...!"""
With a resentful cry, the knight's form began to collapse. From the shattered holy orb, bundles of light—souls—spilled out.
"""I am salvation! I alone will restore the world!"""
With a desperate scream, the knight's body split apart. The protagonist frowned, dodging as the attack surged.
"Broken one!"
"Damn...!"
With Alicia's urgent shout, the protagonist turned his gaze.
Now reduced to the size of a child, the knight clutched the holy orb and ran for the exit.
– The fake Elden Knight is running away!
– More chasing!
– What kind of savior is that, Lol.
– WTF;;; How did you let that one go!
– Godple would have caught it instantly!
– Wait, is it not over?
– Don't tell me, phase 3?!
The protagonist and Alicia hurriedly gave chase.
"It's trying to recharge its souls! The villagers—everyone is in danger!"
With Alicia's panicked scream, the view faded to black. Somehow, the two emerged from the basement.
It wasn't hard to track the thing. Trails of white gunk stretched out behind it like blood.
"What is that...?"
"Oh—uh! It's coming this way!"
The voices of villagers outside. Panic-stricken, the protagonist gave chase, but—
"""Accept deliverance!"""
It was losing control, sprouting all sorts of body parts and multiple faces. It rampaged toward the terrified villagers.
"Damn!"
"No...!"
The protagonist chased after it but was too late. Alicia couldn't hide her despair.
– After all that suffering and now a boiled sweet potato plot?
– WTF;;; This is so frustrating LOL.
– If it was Godple, it'd be over already!
– Forced dark fantasy plot, come on.
– What is this, seriously!
Viewers couldn't hide their exasperation. But then, everything changed.
With a splitting noise, the protective barrier behind the terrified villagers cracked.
"I won't just stand by and watch!"
Crashing through the shards of light came the knight order commander, blondo.
His sword, shrouded in deep indigo aura, blocked the white monstrosity.
"This way! Take cover!"
The knights who followed stood guard before the villagers.
– Whoa! The timing was perfect!
– Entrance of the knight order!
– Ah, now it feels earned, not forced.
– Why wasn't there more knight order action in this alliance route, anyway? LOL.
– Almost said "FromSoft, are you crazy?" but not quite~
The viewers finally breathed easy, realizing this was to showcase the knight order.
"Blondo!"
With Blondo's attack and the protagonist joining in, the creature finally perished.
"""No...."""
The pulpy white mass quivered, leaving only the shattered holy orb behind.
The scene flickered and changed. Blondo shook his head grimly.
"So Sophia was involved... That was nearly disastrous."
Apparently, everything had been explained.
Blondo, after catching his breath, looked around at the villagers. Thankfully, they were only scared, not injured.
"It's all thanks to you. On behalf of everyone, I sincerely thank you."
He saluted respectfully. The protagonist nodded in reply.
"This is the medal I promised. You don't have to return it."
Blondo smiled as he handed over the golden medal.
"This incident taught me something. The Decider chose me to be knight order commander, but being a knight isn't defined by rank or duty alone."
"What do you mean?"
"It isn't that knights protect the weak because of their title. They are knights precisely because they protect the weak—just as the ancient knights, elden Knights, once did."
Blondo placed a gentle hand on the protagonist's shoulder with genuine satisfaction.
"By that measure, you're a fine knight."
– Classic Elden series values, still going strong!
– LOL, putting the protagonist on a pedestal like this.
– Previous game protagonists always get respect!
– Is Blondo just trying to ride the main character's acclaim?
– Ah, just one more spoonful of credit, Lol!
The viewers joked but were satisfied with how things unfolded.
After the conversation, the protagonist gazed up at the inner wall surrounding the royal castle.
"We should be able to open the gate now."
At Alicia's words, the protagonist shifted his gaze.
"The medal is fine, but can the holy orb still function as a key, even though it's broken?"
"You don't need to worry. Please, check it once more."
Alicia confidently answered. The protagonist retrieved the holy orb again.
"Oh?"
Lee Gyeongbok murmured in surprise.
Regardless of the crack, the orb was smaller than before.
"What's this?"
"The holy orb contains the soul of immortality. That's why it can manifest the power of 'restoration'."
Alicia's explanation immediately clarified things for the viewers.
– Oh, so that's why the fake Elden Knight kept regenerating.
– That must be why the sanctuary shield was so tough, too.
– For real, it wasn't unbreakable, the regen was just crazy fast.
The protagonist watched as the holy orb slowly restored itself.
"Then... the same thing that happened to Sophia could happen again?"
"Not necessarily."
"What do you mean?"
"The issue isn't that power—it's who wields it."
Alicia looked up at the protagonist and smiled.
"I believe you'd never do such a thing."
Lee Gyeongbok added his own brief comment.
"Really, you have such a way with words."
– Noonaaaaaaaa!
– Ugh! My heart can't take this...!
– Mini nuna best nuna!
– That's real loyalty!
– Ah LOL, with that much trust, you'd never fall, no way.
– Isn't having an adorable nuna beside you the real salvation?
The chat window was swimming with the viewers' satisfaction. Meanwhile, the camera flickered.
The protagonist and Alicia left the sanctuary accompanied by a send-off from the knight order and the villagers.
The next scene was at the entrance to the inner wall.
– Wow... it's truly tall up close.
– Blocks out the sky, Lol.
– That's some serious security, Lol.
– Golem, right?
– Yeah, that's right.
A wall so high it blocked out the sky, a colossal iron gate, and massive iron guardians kneeling on either side.
"These are the guardian golems that protect the royal castle. Insert the key and the gate will open."
The iron gate had sockets for the holy orb and the medal. The protagonist followed Alicia's instructions and slotted both in.
With a deep rumble, the guardian golems began to move. The iron gate slowly opened with metallic sounds.
– The knight order alliance route is really different here.
– How so?
– Normally, you'd have to fight those guardian golems, Lol.
– Up until now, everyone thought they were malfunctioning, Lol.
– Turns out it was a fake holy orb from Sophia that was the problem.
As viewers compared the alliance and normal routes, the gates finally swung open.
Lee Gyeongbok admired the revealed landscape.
"Wow... this place really has atmosphere."
A royal garden, left untended and now a maze, and beyond that, an overgrown castle blanketed in ancient ruins and moss.
– It's almost apocalyptic, really.
– Not just almost. The setting itself is post-apocalypse, Lol.
– This vibe is perfect, Lol.
– So dark, just how I like it.
The viewers agreed with Lee Gyeongbok's impression.
"...... It seems deserted."
"Looks that way."
The protagonist and Alicia surveyed the area and walked in. Suddenly, alicia shivered.
"Ah...!"
"What's wrong?"
"The barrier...? My exile mark is totally unresponsive."
Meaning, like at the Cathedral, it should have bounced her out automatically.
– Oh? She's right.
– What's going on?
– Ah, spoiler alert!
– Elden newbs, hands off your keyboards!
Alicia wasn't pleased by this.
"Why? Has something happened to the Decider?"
"We'll know soon enough."
The protagonist calmed her as the camera returned control to the player. The cutscene ended.
– Whoa;; This doesn't feel right.
– Did something happen to the father-in-law?
– Father-in-law, Lol.
– Isn't taking in an Elden newb the real disaster here?
– Come on, the poor girl's gonna cry! LOL.
– (my look) the broken one!
– Why me, I was just standing here? Stop with the random damage!
– This is probably going to get even tougher, wow.
As the viewers chatted, Lee Gyeongbok clapped his hands.
"Well, we've covered a lot today. This was so fun, time really just flew by."
It was already dawn.
He decided it was a good time to end both in-game and the broadcast.
– Perfect-style swordplay, a clean end to the stream.
– Huh, why is it morning?
– What? I have to get up early tomorrow!
– A bit more, please!
– I'm jobless, not going to work anyway!
– Who brought a clock to Godple's stream?! Put it away!
– Godple needs rest so he can stream tomorrow!
– No wonder he's tired after beating the drake and the fake Elden Knight in one day, Lol.
– Ah LOL, today's stream was legendary.
– So glad I watched it live, Lol.
– (Perba-con)(Perba-con)
– I miss it already TT
Though viewers were sad, they understood—it had felt like watching two days' worth in one sitting anyway.
"Yes, thank you all for watching tonight, I'll be back tomorrow! Have a 'perfect' night! Bye!"
Lee Gyeongbok grinned, promising the next stream.
Even with the screen turned dark, viewers lingered.
– Perfect night, Lol.
– If you're a Purple viewer, you know how to get perfect sleep, right?
– I'm going to sleep with perfect focus tonight.
– Today's stream was legendary...
– For real, there was never a dull moment.
– Gotta go rewatch mini nuna before sleep.
A great stream always leaves behind great memories.
