Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 762 - 428: War and Victory Goddess_2

Chapter 762

Chapter 762: Chapter 428: War and Victory Goddess_2
In this way, the Golden Dragon Lord had no other choice; whether for family succession or the stability of the Kingdom, she could only pass the throne to her.
"Your reasoning isn’t wrong, but as a Legend, Alexander is still very young. As long as he wills it, he can continue to reign for a thousand years, even two thousand. If you don’t challenge him, will you just wait indefinitely?"
Noah posed the most lethal question; successors in the Mortal Realm only needed to outlast their predecessors to inherit the throne.
The problem, however, is that Alexander doesn’t have the genetic flaws of his father and grandfather. As long as he, the Sect Master, remains, he won’t be plagued by bloodline issues.
When it comes to who lives longer, how long can Alexander live? That’s a real question mark because his lifespan depends on his bloodline, which in turn depends on Noah, who is still in his growth phase.
If one day, Noah ascends to become the Dragon King, then Alexander, as Noah’s first Favored, could also receive glory and attain something akin to the eternal immortality of the Divine.
"..."
Astraea fell silent immediately, seeing this, Noah added another line,
"Alexander’s father, the Second Monarch Uranos, chose to abdicate for personal reasons, but Alexander hasn’t considered this, so he won’t step down.
At least in the short term, he has no intention of yielding the throne. So, if you want to become King Atlas, challenging him is the only path."
"Your Majesty Noah, you seem to be encouraging me to challenge Alexander, to battle him. Why? Are you dissatisfied with him? Or do you think my idea is ridiculous?"
The girl’s eyes showed confusion. Should such a thing occur among the Divine, like a deity urging a loyal follower to fight, that deity is certainly an evil god.
Righteous gods often encourage their followers to unite and cooperate, rather than consume each other in malicious competition.
"Whether it’s Alexander or you, in my eyes, you’re all the same. You’re all my Favored. I encourage you to challenge Alexander just to hope you can set yourself a grander goal rather than bullying a newborn elder."
While explaining, Noah also made a sarcastic remark; this girl, to some extent, is quite an individual, fixating on a newly born child, plotting how to beat him in the future and seize his inherent right to the throne.
"I’m not bullying; I just want to see what my future rival looks like. I can give him time, wait for him to grow up."
The girl immediately explained.
"Don’t you think such a statement is a bit too rogue, too arrogant? No matter how much time you give him, the fact that you were born around thirty years earlier than him remains. While he’s growing, you won’t stop moving forward; there will always be a gap between you."
Noah pointed out the injustice of it,
"To make a nearly thirty-year age gap negligible and not affect fairness, you’d have to wait until you’re both over a thousand years old."
"..."
"If you think challenging Alexander isn’t right, how about establishing your own Kingdom? Why must you choose succession? Why not create, pioneer on your own?"
Noah gently urged, of course, he doesn’t want internal strife among his Favored; he’d rather have these highly capable individuals focus their energies on external wars.
"But according to the prophecy, I will become the Queen of Atlas."
The girl hesitated for a moment, then revealed what her mother had repeatedly urged: not to disclose the prophecy told by the Holy Dragon. While reason told her to keep it secret, instinct told her not to keep anything secret from her bloodline’s source. The Holy Dragon is trustworthy.
"A prophecy? Ha~"
Noah sneered, then continued his inquiry since he detected an unfinished tone in the girl’s voice,
"You seem very pleased with this prophecy. What else did the prophecy say?"
"The prophecy said that after I become Queen of Atlas, under the people’s devotion, I will become the new Goddess of War and Victory!"
Astraea answered. Upon revealing this prophecy, her expression was calm and indifferent, with little joy.
A Divine being personally descending to reveal their intention, promising that she will become a New God in the future—this is a cause for ecstasy among any intelligent creature.
But to a girl born with multiple inheritances, the promises and prophecies from the Elf God are fraught with too many problems, hardly withstand scrutiny or thought.
There’s no inherent rule stating that what gods say must be true. Gods aren’t incapable of lying; that isn’t the monopoly of Hell’s Devils.
Indeed, the most adept at manipulating souls are the Divine. Similarly, masters of lying are also the Divine, like promises made by gods to followers, the biggest and most laughable lies in the world.
"A Divine Enthronement prophecy? That androgynous creature dares to make such a prophecy?"
Noah held no back his disdain and scorn for that God of Destiny within the Elf God System, skilled in parables.
That individual possesses only minimal Divine Power, yet dares to claim destiny in their name. Their true godly name should be the God of Prophecy, using Divine rights to peer into the river of destiny, seeking future developments.
Yet Noah doesn’t believe that individual has the right to peer into another Divine’s future, even for a god yet unborn.
"Do you like this prophecy?"
"Yes."
The girl didn’t hide her emotions; she nodded and then straightforwardly expressed her thoughts,
"But I don’t believe this prophecy is true. Perhaps I might become Queen of Atlas, but I don’t believe I will become the Goddess of War and Victory."
"Why don’t you believe you’ll become a god?"
"Because the god who made the prophecy is too weak!"
Astraea spoke bluntly, then slightly raised her head, finally revealing a bit of her arrogance,
"Moreover, I dislike such predestined outcomes. If one day, I truly do become a goddess, then I’d like to become the Goddess of Fairness and Justice, not War and Victory!"
"Fairness and Justice?"
Upon hearing the girl’s pursuit, Noah could only offer a compliment, calling her a fearless calf; [Fairness] and [Justice] are among the most powerful conceptual Divine Positions.
Although true fairness doesn’t exist in the world, nor is there justice recognized by all races and countries, too many intelligent beings yearn for them.
"But before that, I think I should first become Queen of Atlas!"
"Seems like you’ve chosen to believe part of the prophecy."
"For achievable goals, why wouldn’t I?"
"Then you just go strive for it!"
Seeing the girl whose resolve wasn’t shaken by their conversation, Noah opened a spatial rift and tossed her back.
"Do you want to take my Atlas Kingdom from me?"
The girl’s persistent pursuit was unwavering, and Noah’s first thought wasn’t her determination but the beings responsible for her birth.
The girl believed everything was her own decision from thought, but from her actions, the subtle influence of the Elf gods on her was unmistakable.
"Invading my territory?"
The Atlas Kingdom, excluding the Holy Dragon Land directly under his jurisdiction, is the Kingdom most influenced by conscious culture and bloodline—a foundational aspect of Noah’s current power,
The ELF GOD SYSTEM wishes to erode the Atlas Kingdom, hitting precisely where it hurts. However, to think that supporting a Monarch who has already merged with True Blood could change anything is rather naive,
"Then let us see who invades whom!"
