Chapter 761: Chapter 428: War and Victory Goddess
Crackle~
The moment the girl lost her footing and fell, losing control of the situation around her, the Golden Thunder burst from her body, sweeping through the surroundings for hundreds of meters.
At the same time, the young girl, who appeared slender and tall, started to lose the beauty of a human. Golden scales emerged from beneath her skin, bone armor formed on her face, and magnificent Dragon Wings tore through the clothes on her back... she began to transform from a human into a Dragon.
However, it didn’t end there. As her feet touched the ground, countless vines and roots burst out, climbing up her ankles and attaching themselves to her body.
When she was completely covered in Dragon Scales, as if wearing a perfect set of Dragon Armor, a layer of Wood Armor formed on top of the scales. Moreover, countless vines waved in the air, lashing at and entwining any threatening target.
"Clever little creature, quick to react!"
Noah felt the ground beneath him quiver, preparing to come to life. He couldn’t help but smile as he extended a Dragon Claw and pressed down. Under the suddenly expanding Natural Domain, all the trees that were transforming on the mountain halted.
"But your reaction was a bit too excessive. Why didn’t you assess your surroundings and the enemies you needed to face before going all out?
Not understanding the situation and erupting like that only wastes your strength and reduces your chances of survival."
Under Noah’s will, any attempt to interfere with or control the domain of nature was rendered impossible. Confronting the sudden situation, Astraea felt like she had fallen into a spider web—no matter how she struggled, it was to no avail. She felt even more tightly bound by invisible threads, making it harder to move.
The Natural Will had only just begun to communicate with her when it suddenly fell silent, and none of the elements that should have responded to her call did so.
However, Astraea, who was about to call for help, heard an unfamiliar but strangely comforting voice. Along with the voice descended a warmth even more soothing than a mother’s embrace.
The slightly panicked girl looked towards the voice and immediately saw a Golden Dragon nestled within an ancient banyan tree. The ancient aura of long years exuded, as if this Dragon had grown alongside the old banyan, embodying the passage of time and its weight.
This was the smallest Golden Dragon she had ever seen, its size estimated to be less than ten meters. Yet, it was also the most sacred and majestic Dragon she had ever encountered. At first sight of this Dragon, the girl felt an instinctual urge to kneel and worship it.
"Greetings, Noah Your Majesty!"
Without resisting the instinctual urge from her body to kneel and prostrate, Astraea immediately identified the Golden Dragon’s identity. The seemingly aloof girl then knelt on the ground.
"Rise! No need to be bound by such formalities."
Noah was not surprised at all. The girl’s body still carried the True Blood he had bestowed upon her. At such a close distance, if she couldn’t recognize his identity, she would be too dull indeed.
"Yes, Noah Your Majesty!"
Astraea respectfully stood up from the ground. At the same time, the Wood Armor covering her body began to dissipate, and the Dragon Scales and Bone Armor concealed once again. The once imposing and intimidating female Dragon-man reverted back to a charming and vivacious young girl, full of youthful vitality.
"What brings you here? Do you seek to return to the Augustus family, or did you just happen upon this place in your travels?"
Noah had prepared plausible reasons for the girl’s presence, allowing her to choose any or both of them.
"I wish to see my future rival!"
Yet, unfortunately, faced with the choices provided by Noah, the girl chose neither. Instead, she confidently stated the reason for her presence in Uther City.
"A future rival, do you mean the newly born child?"
Noah’s eyes gleamed with amusement.
"Though he is younger than you, in terms of seniority, he is several generations your senior."
"Those things mean nothing to me, Noah Your Majesty."
"Then what does matter?"
"I aspire to become the next Monarch of the Atlas Kingdom!"
Astraea articulated her objective tersely. Her heterochromatic eyes, gold and silver, shone with different hues. Her gaze was persistent and firm. She wasn’t joking, nor was she a fool acting fearlessly; this was her life goal and pursuit.
"If you want to become the fourth Monarch of the Atlas Kingdom, then your opponent is not the newly born child but the reigning Alexander. You must use your abilities to challenge him and earn his recognition. Only then will he hand over the rights of the Monarch to you."
Noah was not surprised by the girl’s aspirations. The blood of Titans flowed within her, and to the Augustus family, she was even more of a legitimate heir than Alexander.
"His child, that divine progeny, is my rival. If I can defeat him, then Alexander Your Majesty will have no choice but to hand the throne over to me."
The girl’s reasoning was clear, undistracted by Noah’s attempts to divert her.
She didn’t need to confront the increasingly powerful Alexander; she only needed to surpass all of Alexander’s children.
